Pied a Terre
Pied a Terre's intimate setting has 11 tables inside and an outdoor dining area from tables of 2 to larger parties of 45.
We serve contemporary Mediterranean / French cuisine in a fine dining atmosphere. No cream, very little butter, no flour nor cornstarch in the sauces that are only reductions, everything is homemade from fresh products.
Our menu changes 3 to 4 times a year. We offer a tasting menu, and a la carte menu and special promotion menus in summer.
Our Wine Spectator Award (2013/14/15/16/17/18) wine list features 320 international and domestic selections.
We can accommodate any dietary requirements or personal preferences.
The food was amazing and the mushroom risotto is a must. The tables were lovely but the lighting was distracting, it was a little too bright and the restaurant was too warm. It’s a small restaurant that seats about 45 people and there were 3 people taking orders and bringing out food so trying to flag one of them down for more wine proved to be a challenge. The wine list is extensive and their wines by the glass were quite nice.
The food was so delicious and the ingredients were the best.The attention by the owner is special and his knowledge of wines was very extensive.

This small restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a boutique hotel one block off Collins Avenue so location is great. The food and service were wonderful. I appreciated the wine pairings Patrick suggested for my meal choices. After dinner walking back up Collins, passing the folks at the eateries on the avenue, I couldn't help thinking, "You don't know what you're missing."
Excellent food and exceptional service. They took the time to explain each and every item on the menu. We will definitely be back soon.

The owner looked after us personally, bringing us limited edition wines to taste and entertaining us throughout the evening whilst we dined on incredible Michelin star quality creations.

Patrick and his team do a wonderful job of presenting modern french cuisine (which means among other things no cream) and wine in a cozy ambience and with great service. The Foie Gras is magnificent and we have mostly never had such good Foie Gras in the US, and trust us, we are spoiled people living in NYC. Also great french wine you don't find as easy. Service is top notch and this is a great gastronomic experience !

Very tasty and inventive food. Fantastic wine list owner is passionate. Foie gras are amazing, new style bouillabesse very good, risotto with fresh mushrooms is amazin and the chocolate dessert are terrific.

When you need a break from the excitement of south beach, stop by Pied a Terre for a nice quiet, relaxing evening. Patrick is wonderful. 😍
Besides the old waiter trying to impress us with his fancy wine tasting device only to spray the table twice with our $62 bottle of wine, the place was great. Good food. Foie gras was a specialty and worthy. Main dishes were perfect. Duck was medium to well done; Ordered medium rare but delicious.
An astonishing array of surprising and elegant combinations of the best ingredients. Attention to details, and especially refined taste. A different wine list that opens to unknown avenues of successful pairings. On par with 1 and 2 Michelin stars elsewhere in the US. A Miami foodie gem to be discovered and re-explored regularly. If we had to chose favorites: poached foie gras in bonito broth, sweetbreads with death-trumpet mushrooms and the deconstructed dessert log! Let the owner Patrick lead you on his visionary culinary path!

Very nice setting, Patrick is an excellent host. We celebrated our anniversary at Pied a Terre, which I recommend for special occasions. Great food and refined ambience
It was our third visit to this restaurant in 6 months. We expected very good service as before. We chose menu degustation- with pairing wine. Until there were 8-10 guests we felt that the waiter and maitre d' hotel cared about us. When the dining room was filled with more customers , we noticed that their inetrest in us dropped.
There was no pairing wine for the desert or at least a suggestion of digestive, was missing. We celebrated the birthday of my companion and I knew that he loved that restaurant in the past so we went there. The next day when we discussed the event - it turned out that we both had the same feeling . ( modest suggestion to the restaurant- maybe just having extra waiter would help). The food was good but small items spoilt the general impression.
Delicious food and wine, but service was either too attentive or the opposite, neither in between. Would recommend this place for someone who loves French wine, food, and service.

If you are a foie gras fan this restaurant is not to be missed. World class preparation of this amazing specialty prepared four ways with an opportunity to try all four with a tasting appetizer. The food and wine list are top notch, service impeccable and the owner is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you enjoy modern French food and are looking for a truly fine dining experience in Miami!
If you love foie gras, as we do, this is the best place ever to try it! FOUR different preparations: sauteed, encased in a potato bon bon, pate and poached. All designed to let the flavor shine. All organic and all sauces prepared with out enhancements or cream. Perfect service. The mushroom risotto is lovely. Veal chop is tender and quite a large serving. Duck was also nice with a very light and orange (but not sweet) sauce. Small, intimate and quiet.
This was our favorite dining experience in Miami Beach. Superb in every way. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates fine dining. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Also, it was a pleasure to dine in a quiet, elegant environment. So thankful the concierge at The Betsy told us about it.
