Nice decor, good venue, friendly staff even if a little slow on service
Overall a good dining experience and happy with the service.
We did the feed me, plenty of food, the service was good and the staff were friendly, the noise levels were up there but we were close to an 18 birthday group which didn't help, overall it was a pleasant night.
It was a special lunch as a belated Mother’s Day gift from my son. A colleague recommended this restaurant as they really make you feel special.
They did very much so.
I chose Piccoli Piatti to celebrate my wife's birthday as we had been there recently and had a terrific experience. Unfortunately the second time around wasn't as pleasurable. I didn't mind being talked into a $55 bottle of wine as it was a special occasion, but then as the waiter was pouring it he advised me he had got the price wrong and it was actually $60. We had a beautiful Schiacciata for entree but once completed we seemed to have been forgotten. The waiting staff changed over, odd at 12:30pm in the middle of the lunch trade, as after 30 minutes we asked where our main course was. It had been forgotten and we waited another 20 minutes for the saltimbocca to be cooked. I will say it was fantastic, as was the complimentary Tiramisu which the apologetic waitress offered us, but by then the occasion had been damped. It will be a while before we return so we can forget the incident. I cannot fault the food, it was superb, but I suggest keeping track of your order. cheers
Great Italian food and great service! Pasta dishes come in three sizes, which is great depending on how hungry you are. Service was prompt and food delivered in a prompt manner, which is perfect if you’re planning dinner around your visit to the Van Gogh exhibition. Definitely recommend dining here!
Very friendly staff. Had a Tapas of Antipasto which was wonderful
Beautiful setting. Nice ambience. Food was excellent. Service was prompt. Highly recommended
Very nice dining experience. Good service & the serves are very generous. The bruschetta was the best I’ve had.
Nice atmosphere friendly staff prompt service. We chose from the all day breakfast menu. Value for money. They were large service!
Very disappointing experience. Had wanted to use the SA Experience voucher and had checked that this restaurant offered this on a Sunday. Staff left us waiting for our booked table and to order despite it not being busy. Offered the chance to purchase just one drink with no staff members providing service for us to purchase additional drinks. Had to wait to pay bill while they scrambled to work out how to redeem the voucher. Then told bad luck voucher couldn’t be redeemed despite no mention of this on the email with a voucher and no alternative offered. Will not go back or recommend this establishment.
Didn't give time to look at menu before asking us for order. Said would bring water but didn't. Got 2 of 4 hot drinks then had to ask where other 2 were. It was cold inside so had no heating
A nice night. Pleasant staff and the food was nice. Was served quickly. Would happily go back again.
Waitress was lovely food was great restaurant was. Nice and clean also very new. Wasn't overly busy at the time. But I do believe they were booked out this night..will most definitely eat here again.
Good Italian food. Excellent service. Will definitely return.
Amazing food! Great service, defs eat here again!
This was our second visit to Piccoli Piatti, the first being several months earlier. We were served by the same young lady and were both impressed and thrilled that she remembered us. I have a dairy intolerance, which limits my choices, but I was able to choose from the vegan menu. Both courses were delicious and I didn't miss meat! Along with a glass or two of imported Chianti, it was the perfect place to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary.
We attended a charity breakfast at the restaurant and it was fantastic. There was about 150 of us and we had a great time . Food was excellent and service 5 star . The restaurant is modern and charming . Look for to visiting it again soon .
delicious food, staff were friendly and food came out really quickly. amazing ambience we were put in a secluded spot so we could enjoy our date 🥰
Attentive wait staff, quick service. There was a birthday upstairs which was VERY loud. We shared the chef’s grazing board and Pete’s pizza. The grazing board was delicious and good value for money. The pizza was too heavy on the toppings, very sloppy and overall not pleasant to eat. Staff did not ask us how the meal was upon payment. Overall, would try again.. would just choose a more simple pizza next time.
One of our favourite places to eat on O’Connell street, never disappoints! Love that there are 3 sizes of pasta and their ice cream is the best.
Excellent food. Great value. Recommend the feed me menu
The food was excellent and the service good without being too intrusive. Was a good place to catch up with old mates.
We have eaten here over a dozen times and the service and meals have been always really good.
Our lunch was perfect, my pork & veal meatballs in tomato sauce were perfect, delicious and definitely the best I've tasted in a long time. Thank you for making this Sunday lunch a memorable experience, you'll see me again soon :-)
Love the food and the staff make the night. Very friendly
Terrible ragu, no chunks of meat, like Bolognese with sweet taste.
The customer service was so poor. Our dinner came out over an hour after ordering. We asked to have bread while we waited for our 4th person (as they we’re running late) to arrive and the waiter almost denied us this because they said they don’t bring out the bread until we order. We said we were going to order, we were just waiting on the 4th person. It was back and forth for a minute before they finally agreed to bring us bread. It sounds petty, it’s just blood bread at the end of the day, but it was just so strange, weird and awkward.
The waiters looked miserable- making the boss is not very kind and therefore the staff are scared shitless. Would not go back there again. Food was good but not good enough to put up with that service again.
Julia I am disappointed that your experience at Piatti was disappointing. I am the owner and was dining that night with a group of people. Your table of 4 guests had 8 points of contact with 5 different staff members on the night. Is the real issue you expected free bread or you think my staff are miserable. Please be advised not all restaurants' provide bread 'free' and our policy to offer bread once orders are taken. This policy will not change because you feel it is 'just bloody bread'.
Everyone enjoyed their meal (including my fussy mum) and service was outstanding! Will definitely be back 👌
Excellent food with amazing presentation. You eat with your eyes first, so the anticipation was just right. We’ll certainly be back.
Beautiful ambience, friendly, helpful & attentive service, accommodating kitchen, understood my needs as coeliac. Menu heavily carb laden, so limited choices for me as I need to avoid grains because of diabetes, but waiter understood my needs & kitchen was able to modify a menu item for me. I was very appreciative of not having to stress over possible health consequences & was able to relax & enjoy my night.
Always fantastic food and service. Beautiful wood fired pizza, we're becoming regulars!
Had a table of 7 and all chose different main course size pasta meals. All enjoyed their dishes and BYO’d our wine. Didn’t venture to antipasto etc or desert so can’t comment on those.
Staff went out of their way to prepare a meal that suited one at our table who has a very limited range of choices due to medical condition.
Will all be going back there.
Delicious cocktails and food, it was very romantic for my partner and I
Love going to Picolli Piatti, one of my favourite places in North Adelaide
Our group of ten thoroughly enjoyed the lunch here.
We were well cared for by the staff and the food was great.
My grading of the service was slightly lower only because at one stage, things slowed down a lot!
Definitely will return.
Really helpful staff especially Jade who was extremely helpful in organising the orders (staggered attendance of guests) and ensuring the cake was stored and brought out when needed. Food was lovely - especially from a large family that can be very critical and great value for money based on the serving sizes, variety and great ambiance even though it was a busy night due to Friday night football.
Great location to grab a delicious meal before the footy. Pizza was delicious and hubby was super impressed with the Veal Parmigiana.
I really enjoyed the Funghi and found the Pizza to be very good. Several drink orders took more than 15 minutes to come to the table and it was not busy.
The staff were very friendly though and I would definitely be going back.
