Piatti - Seattle
Food was tasty but portion sizes super small both on the happy hour and regular menu.
We went to Piatti a bit early, arriving at 5 o'clock.....and it was a warm, sunny day so we sat outside seating area which was lovely! The food was excellent and, because we arrived before 6pm, we were able to enjoy the selections on the Happy Hour Menu!! Excellent taste and what a GREAT value!! The service was so-so...it got quite busy in the sunshine as more and more diners arrived -- which likely explains why the service slacked towards the end. Overall it was wonderful and we will certainly go back!
Pizza was over cooked and dry
Several friends have started having regular lunches at Piatti. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. The food is consistent and very good. The restaurant, at lunch time, is quiet enough to hold a conversation. The wait staff is not bothered by the fact that we linger over our lunch. All in all, we have a very pleasant experience.
Pleasant and convenient restaurant. Food was good, but not hot. Service was good, but nothing special. Both comments in the context of the restaurant being maybe 25% occupied as we entered and far less on exit. Wait staff was pleasant, but had little insight to entrees.
Piatti is our favorite restaurant in University Village. The food is great, the service and ambience are even better. We visit here often. Highly recommended!
Happy to have Piatti back in its old place. Upgrade is nice -- especially like seeing the central seating with the arching lights. Wish we could get small portions of the salads -- that's my only quibble. The beet salad this time is aMAZing!
We had the best waiters and the food was great. We dined outside and had a wonderful experience.
Maybe. I love going to Piatti. I enjoyed my cocktail (aperol betty) and appetizer and simple Caesar salad. I was attracted to lamb shank entree because I love lamb. It was a huge meal. I took about half home. Having some for lunch today I realized I couldn’t tell it was lamb because it was in a tomato sauce. Wouldn’t do that again. My husband had the chicken pasta dish and said it was OK.
Wonderful lunch and terrific service!
The restaurant was great for family gathering (10+ people)
Our service was a little unpredictable. Our waitress apologized because she didn’t usually serve at dinner. Our family had a good experience for my daughters graduation
Had a wonderful dinner with our young baby. We arrived early and they were able to get us in before our reservation time. Delicious handmade pasta!
Our table consisted of 11 ladies on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at 11:30/am. Our server, NICOLE, did an excellent job dealing with ALL that went on at our table that day as we celebrated two birthdays. PLEASE tell Nicole what a great job she did and please tell her manager. We all missed the WHITE table cloths! Thank you for a very nice experience!
Great food and service! A favorite to go to whenever visiting daughter at UW.
A pre-graduation lunch. Food was very good and the waiter was flexible and accommodating to three young grandkids. Exceeded expectations. A bit hard to find in U Village, but worth seeking out. Nice time.
Food with unique flavors was very tasty and felt lightweight. Great service. Highly recommended!
The food was ok. We went there because it was close to the University of Washington. Service was excellent
Good food and convenient location. Drinks were exceptional.
Service was poor. We were brought our appetizer first course & main course all at the same time after waiting 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Had good experiences for Lunt. Won’t go back for dinner
Great waiter! Interesting menu. Always go here when visiting in Seattle
Piatti's food and service are consistently good. The spacious setting allows for low noise levels. I am always interested in more vegetarian options.
It's always a pleasure to come into Piatti. The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful (especially Amara).
Super delicious food
The menu seemed more limited based on past visits. Quality has been better in the past as well.
Service was good. It think there are better places in the neighborhood. Used to enjoy Piatti but probably won't go back.
Service was great. We were there for a very long time and did not feel pressure to leave or rushed.
Very nice to offer free teramasu for birthday.
We had an excellent experience on Mother’s Day! Liked the menu and all four people were pleased with their choices. The crab benedict and short rib hash were over the top! Our server was great..friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and just a pleasant person! All of the staff worked together to provide a very enjoyable Mother’s Day !!
Food was pretty good, though I have had better Italian food at other local places. The experience was nice dining out on the patio, though, and the service was very good.
Service started out great but dropped off like a rock after being served
the menu has changed a great deal over the year and right now is not very interesting. I miss the wonderful brussel sprouts, the clams and many of the other healthy, interesting foods they used to offer.
This was an unexpected pleasure in a crowded mall. The food was light and delicious. The atmosphere relaxed and we had a lovely discussion because not too loud and tables spaced well. Did I mention that the food was scrumptious? Bears repeating! Oh, and the sun was out so the glow in the place was so enveloping. With all of this the delivery of the food and the service and everything was precise and timely. Server a delight. For my friend and I in pre-concert mode, this was perfect.
I have never had a bad meal but a recent visit left me wondering. One diner thought her pasta dish was too spicy and switched with her spouse. The barley, lentils and grilled chicken in my grain bowl were dry and sadly a vinaigrette could not rescue the dish. The Green Pea Hummus was a winner, though. The service was excellent and the peaceful ambience enabled great conversation. But big disappointment as my guests were visiting from out of town.
Lunch was great, service impeccable. Will be back soon.
Love love love the food and restaurants!
Great service, easy location. Very capable kitchen. My only issue with Piatti is the menu — they really need a couple more “just for kids/teens/families” options. Everything is tailored with an adult twist, (eg, ricotta in pancakes on a brunch menu was the closest thing — many kids under 12 or so aren’t going to find a lot on the menu that works for them). And please actually cook the bacon that are put in the Bloody Mary’s.
Met a friend and the food was great. Plenty of
Had the linguini, it was very tasty. Wish that bread had been brought to the table. I miss that.
Piatti's usually fantastic, so I'm guessing this was just an off night, but our food came out room temperature and the pork was weirdly rubbery. The duck pappardelle and the penne were both great, it was just the Wednesday special that was a bit weird. The staff was lovely about handling the issue quickly and efficiently.
Piatti is good food at a good price! We love the ambiance and the service...both are very good.
It is authentic Italian but with a few twists and everything we have ever ordered there has been excellent.
We love Piatti....Thomas is so professional and treats you like you are the only one he is serving. The best!
