Pialligo Estate Garden Pavilion
The GardenPavilions are oriented to provide magnificent views of the Estate’s Vineyards, Olive Grove and Canberra’s skyline featuring Parliament House and Black Mountain tower. Our Garden Pavilions are designed to be enjoyed year round in climate controlled comfort.
The Garden Pavilions are open for a la carte diningas well as private functions. They feature a beautiful fresh menu that showcases seasonal produce from our gardens and other locally sourced products.

Amazing food, service and stunning location. A place definitely worth visting either for a special occasion or for any excuse.
Lovely spot but food was very salty and coffee was only just warm. With the blinds down very noisy.
All 3 bookings for the night put into one pavillion making it very noisy. Wait staff needed constant reminders for drinks, plates (yes really, plates) etc. Staff keen for us to leave from about 9pm and then all lights turned off on all outside areas at 10pm - hardly late for a Friday night, especially when a private party was still rocking on strong. This lack of lighting actually made it quite dangerous when we were trying to leave.
Food was lovely but not sure I'd bother going back.

Food was wonderful. Wines were great & therefore we were amazed to NOT find them listed in "Halliday"!
One 'stuff-up' occurred in otherwise great service, when our main course was given to another table by different waitress! However, we waited patiently and were rewarded by the quality of our food.
There was an obvious error in our bill at the end, but after waiting around at the cash register for a while, it was eventually all sorted out.
Bit disappointing as we had such a great experience the last time we visited pialigo farmhouse. Whilst the food was still good, the service was disappointing. It was slow, disjointed and the staff seemed stressed and disorganised. We had to wait over 30minutes for a beer, and it wasn’t even busy. Our section had five tables and it felt a little crammed, we could hear other tables’ conversations and the ambient music wasn’t turned on until later in the evening. As mentioned above, the food was still good, but it certainly wasn’t the fine dining experience we had come to expect from pialigo and was overpriced considering the overall experience. We won’t be returning to the pavilions!
My fiancé and I enjoyed a delicious lunch for an early birhday present! The food was excellent, and cooked beautifully. We loved the roast chicken and sweet potatoes, as well as smoked salmon, chorizo and roast duck to start. Due to renovations, there were noisy trucks and a lot of dust around the area which was not enjoyable. However, the overall experience was lovely. Thank you!
Highly recommend the smoked meat, fantastic venue and ambience. Loved the area, great location for a catch up! But took three months to book for a lunch!

Went for lunch with the family and entree was fabulous (dumplings) but that is where it stops being good. The three of us had steak for Mains and at $42 odd a steak it should have been a lot better and the cut and tenderness was poor for all three. Cooked well but for a restaurant of this standard the meals should be better.
Service as expected is amazing and very attentive.

I ordered desert for birthday and I wanted to be surprised but the service was poor. They forgot to bring it.
I have been here for lunch and dinner, and loved it. Unfortunately, this time I went for breakfast and would not recommend or come back. Servers were friendly but obviously very understaffed. Waited for a long time to have orders taken. Food was nice but overpriced for what it was. Oddly, butter knives were provided - no serrated edge - instead of normal knives... Seating was also tightly crammed and as such, it was very noisy.
It’s sadly gone down hill , in every aspect. We went for a special birthday . After being seated , we noticed the food on the floor , spilt wine , and general grubbiness of tables. The wait staff advised they hadn’t had a chance to clean after the lunch service and started to clean around us . Not very romantic talking while someone sweeps around your feet . The heater was off , the room was freezing , weirdly the only saving grace was the toilets which were warm. The food was over salted , over cooked and just lacked taste. To his credit , the manger noticed our unhappiness and didn’t charge us for our mains . But , this didn’t compensate for a below average night and the mild food hangover the next day ( which I assume was the over salting) . It has so much potential , but the word of mouth reviews are true . Give this place a hard miss.

I had such a lovely meal at Pialligo and would definitely go back. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really recommend the sweet potatoes in lime yoghurt they were to die for. The atmosphere was so nice that we didn’t want to leave! That and we ate so much we physically couldn’t. The owner was wonderfully accommodating and couldn’t do more for us.
Last Friday my colleagues and I went for a business lunch. We asked the waiter if we can complete our meal I. 1,5 h as we were to go back to the office. The waiter, young girl looked so unhappy and seemed not interested. We received first the main meal and 10 min later we reveived the Entrees??? Our water glasses were empty as no one was overseeing our table. Main main arrived with a hair on top and had to be returned.
The service was extremely poor, food was less than average and overall not a happy experience. Will never go back there
Great tasting fresh food with beautiful view and nice atmosphere.
Failed to be greeted by anyone upon arrival, had to seek out a staff member to help us while others walked past and ignored us. The cocktails we ordered were missing ingredients. I specifically ordered a glass of wine to come out with my meal and then had to ask for it 3 times before it came out when I was nearly finished eating. Our plates were never cleared, we were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. We were ignored again when we went to the front desk/bar to pay our bill. This place is definitely not worth the drive and we will not be recommending it to our friends and it will honestly also stop me from buying their smoked products in the future.
The small dishes and side dishes were amazing. One exception was the almost unsalted chips which would have been fine if tables had salt and pepper supplied but we had to ask the waitress for some. It took a while between serving other customers before we actually got them and in the meantime the chips were going cold. We both ordered steaks as mains and found them to be quite tough to cut and grissly. A shame given the price we paid. They were more like Woolworths budget steaks. If we had foresight of this we would have ordered more small and side dishes instead.
Being winter and windy we both felt quite cold because the wind kept coming up under the plastic walls. The other thing that spoilt our lunch were the noisy groups we were seated with, we could barely hear each other talk. It would have been nice to be in one of the other pavilions without groups, given it was my partners birthday and he just got out of hospital that morning. I was hoping it would make him feel special and that it would be a memorable occasion. Unfortunately there were too many negatives.
Delicious food, a little less salt would make it perfect. Difficult to get waiter's attention.
Overall we enjoyed the food and the wine . We found the wine service was slow . We ordered red wine with the main course but this came halfway through after the main course was served .
Apart from this , we enjoyed the food , the location , the lovely hostess and the relaxed ambience.

I was really disappointed in my first visit to my Pialligo Estate. It was a treat for my fiancé’s birthday and sadly we both didn’t enjoy our meal. Firstly our starters came out incorrect, then our mains came out missing side dishes, which were left on the table to get cold whilst they rectified the mistake and when we did finally get cutting into our steak they had cooked it differently as to ordered. The waitress that served us was bickering with another waiter over the incorrect orders very loudly next to us as it was apparent she had also got wrong the orders on a larger table next to us. We had been looking forward to dining here for a long time, so we were truly upset at the outcome of the evening!
The occasion was our son's 16th birthday. There were 6 of us and we were looked after superbly by the staff. The food was delicious, and staff were attentive without being intrusive. Darren Perryman, Head Chef, you are a star!
Relaxed lunch of shared plates of slow cooked lamb and duck, complimented by delicious veggies and lovely local wine - perfect fare on a cold, Canberra winters day. The desserts were delicious too! Love the Pavillions which create a cosy atmosphere and make for very easy conversations.
What a delightful place for lunch! Gorgeous scenic views. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. The chorizo is to die for!! We also did a wine tasting which was also yum. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again and bring my friends and family.
Came here for a birthday lunch and could not be happier. They were kind enough to sit us outside to enjoy the views and sunshine. The food was amazing and the service and staff were excellent. Highly recomend the souffle it was delicious! Coming back in a few weeks with girlfriends as I loved the restaurant so much.
Food and view were very good. However, the lady who served our table was very pushy, grumpy and rude. We did not feel welcome from the moment we stepped into the beautiful pavilion, and through the whole dining period. What a shame!
Delightful food - we shared plates from small to large - and a fine Pialligo cab merlot, all enjoyed outside on a cool but sunny day with a beautiful clear blue sky. The service was excellent. Highly commended!
We booked a table for 6 on Sunday.
We were seated in the Sun room enclosure immediately near the open kitchen. This location is very noisy, with waiters frequently passing by. The area is very cold, with no heating, and was made worse by the staff opening one screen wall mid-way through the meal, making it even colder - we all needed to wear warm jackets. The head chef used loud clapping to summon waiters to collect food, which quickly became annoying. He was also loudly verbally derogatory and rude toward the waiting staff throughout the time we were there. The 2nd table in the room was set up for a large group booking, so chairs between these tables frequently clashed, and waiters needed to 'squeeze' through frequently. Overall the food, was excellent, with a wide variety, fresh and beautifully prepared, presented, and all of it tasted great. Waiters were also friendly and attentive. Price was reasonable for a relatively up-market winery restaurant. Just a shame that the atmosphere tainted an otherwise great meal. I recommend the food, but would avoid being seated in the kitchen room in future.
Wonderful place for breakfast. Great services. The staff are very obliging and lots of fun.
My daughter had a wine glass break into her mouth, luckily she didn't swallow any glass although a large piece broke off. A genuine accident and the waitress was very apologetic and gave us a free cocktail. However the room was cold and the food going outside before being served was disappointing in view of the prices.
We really loved it here however we were rushed out. I didn't know that they were 2 hour seatings.
Our food arrived super quick which in most cases were good but felt like we were rushed.
Apart from that it was really lovely. Beautiful venue and the food was delicious.
A beautiful spot for breaky on a freezing June morning. It was so cosy in the pavilion and the food was delightful. Coffee was also excellent!
Amazing food and lovely amenable staff! My only complaint is that I couldn’t finish my meal, but that’s my problem! 😂
When I booked online, I asked if I could bring my small Cavalier dog. I did not get a reply. We took our dog and were told ne was not allowed in. We got a table outside the pavillions after challenging this situation.
The service was quite poor for the whole visit. We were going to order sweets, but noone took our order, so we gave up and left without sweets or coffee.
The view and ambience was great. My family enjoyed their breakfast but mine was burnt and not really edible. It hindsight I should have complained but didn’t want to cause a fuss at my husbands birthday celebration. Would still go back and try again.

Great winter-warming food but disappointing there were no actual greens on the sides list eg beans or broccoli. Great chips!
