I had lunch with a friend on 15th December. The restaurant was busy but we had a relaxing lunch and wonderful food. A staff member - Rachel - looked after our table and she was very helpful and guided us through the menu and gave very helpful advice on the size of portions and side dishes etc
Receiving 3 requests for a confirmation of my booking in the 36 hours preceding the booking time was annoying to say the least and reflected poorly on teh competence of the restaurants automated bookibg system, particularly as I conformed the booking on the first request. Perhaps Pialligo should look for another online booking provider.
HI CAME OUT FOR LUNCH LAST TUESDAY HAD A LOVELY LUNCH BUT IT WAS VERY HOT WITH NO AIRCONDITIONING. WHEN I CAME BACK WITH SIX FRIENDS ONE VERY ILL AND WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT THE HEAT ON SATURDAY TO MY DELIGHT THE AIR CONDITIONING HAD BEEN PUT IN.
IT WAS A WONDERFUL LUNCH. NOISE LEVEL GOT HIGH BUT THINK EVERYONE GETS VERY EXCITED ABOUT XMAS.
I LOOK FORWARD VERY MUCH TO BRINGING MY FAMILY FROM SYDNEY IN LATE JANUARY.
The heat was ridiculous and it was so noisy. The service was average and they were keen to get us out of the place once we finished our lunch. We were moved half way through our meal into a side pavilion to be in a cooler space. You would think they would have a better roof system other than clear and as for portable hired coolers for an establish like that is an subbasement.
Beautiful food and service however not having air con made it a bit uncomfortable especially on such a hot day. I would definitely return though.
Food and surroundings are good but avoid on a hot day!
The food was very good the beef cooked well and melted in your mouth. However our table was near the kitchen and it was very very warm last Sunday which made the eating experience extremely uncomfortable. The air blower made very little difference,I therefore would not recommend this restaurant to people during summer, it may have been better in the areas which are open to the outside rather than the poky corridor next to the kitchen. The copper screens with the lights hanging above reflected the heat back to the table. The noise level made it very difficult to talk, at at some stages the background music was too loud! The toilets were beautifully cool, pity about the main dinning area.
The venue is wonderful, nice vibe and great view. We found the staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The food was great (with a focus on locally sourced/grown items as an added bonus). I definitely recommend getting a charcuterie board to sample a few of the estate's own produce made right there on the premises. For the quality of the food and the standard of service, the prices are very reasonable. The pavilion is a little hidden gem in the Canberra restaurant scene, and we will definitely be back!
It was a very hot afternoon. The main pavilion needs to be fully air conditioned. Lunch was pleasant and well presented. Staff were obliging and knowledgeable. We requested a wine tasting before lunch so as we could choose our lunch wine with knowledge. No tasting was available. Most unusual for a winery.
Great venue, fresh seasonal produce, just a tad expensive for what you get, eg half a small chicken for $55, please!
Although I appreciate that it was busy that particular day we arrived early for that reason. Waitress was helpful and polite but it took nearly one hour just to get one serving of bread when others around us who arrived later were being served before us. Main courses were late but ok but lacked flair or imagination especially when prices are at the higher end of the market. We were never offered a desert menu and had to call a waitress over for coffee . It was my 50th birthday and was probaby hoping for something more memorable.
Very pleasant setting, food was very nice (but would have liked a wider selection of vegetables). Wine was a little on the expensive side, but a nice selection. Wait staff were very attentive and pleasant, the restaurant was very busy but there were a lot of staff on which was nice to see. Overall a very nice lunch.
Though crowded, noisy and hot - food was excellent. One very disappointing aspect of the meal however was the fish of the day. Billed as a 'large plate' it was anything but large. A minute serving of sword fish with a few small florret s of colliflower for $39 was exceptionally disappointing.
Arrived and ordered however the waiter forgot to ask what I would like with my main course. Entrée was very nice however when the mains arrived we had not cutlery and had to find someone to obtain some. When they cleared the table after the entree the waiter dropped a dirty fork on my wifes new top causing a grease stain.The main disappointment was the steak I order as a main course when it arrived cold and we had to send it back. We had waited 45 mins for our main. When they returned with a reheated steak (yes reheated) which after questioning the waiter had admitted they had reheated it!The steak that was order medium was now a blackened piece of meat on my plate and they had also brought out the wrong sauce to accompany it. They had scrapped off the sauce I had put on my steak and reheated it. They did not charge us for the meal however after all that had gone on I did not expect them too. Overall very disappointing.
The restaurant was great. The food and service was spot on. However we moved in to the garden area for the gin bar. They had a function on inside which was fine but the service was extremely poor. One bar tender for both the function and the other people in the grassed area most of the time. I ordered two gins and as he was making them, a member of the function asks for a Beer and wine. He immediately stops making mine and starts the other persons. I find this extremely rude. Is this person more of a value customer? Also the gin bar was out of a lot of the garnishes very early on (midday) Also the grass area is beautiful but there’s no shade. Two umbrellas. If they had More umbrellas or shaded areas, it would be more popular.
Disappointed in the service, our meals were put on hold due to a wedding and another large party event. Noise levels made it difficult to have a conversation. On arrival the floor had food dropped on it as it was the access point to wedding.
The four of us had an enjoyable time. The food was delicious and the service was punctual and friendly. the local wine complemented the dishes we ordered and overall it was a great dining experience.

Absolutely amazing. Took my partner there for a birthday and fun time had by all. Great food and very friendly staff.
Disappointed at the service. We ordered 4 share plates. The calamari plate came out relatively quick however the remaining 3 came out 40 minutes after we had finished the calamari, and only after asking of if it was coming. It would have been nice to enjoy the calamari with the other plates we had ordered.
When the steak came out I mentioned that it was going to be sliced as we were sharing it. The door staff flicked her wrist and said "it is sliced". It's not what you say, it's how you say it and I don't appreciate attitude when all I can see from across the table is a full steak (it was sliced but all squished together so looked whole) and after we waited a very long time for it.
We ordered the kids meal for my son and he did not receive the dessert despite the fact his food came out with the calamari.

Fresh, fresh and more fresh. Food is amazing and location is spectacular.
Our main course arrived undercooked for both of us, but there was no hesitation by the staff in taking it back and cooking to our liking. My husband was also given a complimentary glass of wine. We had the mot delightful waitress who really made the evening special.
Loved the new menu. Service great. Only downside was my meal wasnt very hot when it arrived. Something to work on as the new menu beds down. But it didnt put me off coming again.

It was both my daughters birthday and I prepaid for a chocolate birthday cake - what came out was a wedding cake - completely ruined the event
To make it worse a waiter quickly grabbed the remainder of the cake and said ‘thank god you hardly ate any of it!! I was then fuming that the wedding party was far more important than our birthday gathering - really awful never going back!

It was very hot in the pavilion which distracted from the experience. It would be good to get some kind of cooling system for the futre. The meal was good value. Particularly enjoyed the duck liver pate and the Pinot Grigio.
We went for my husband’s birthday our waitress was lovely and looked after us very well lovely experience. Will be back
Busy Saturday lunchtime but the service was faultless. Our interstate visitors were very impressed with the local produce.
Food and Service were good , ordered from the estate menu $55 per head , some sides eg vegetables included in the main menu would have been appreciated , other than that was a pleasant outing.

Entree served at 2.15 and main at 3.15
Manager and staff did apologise for delay and a Manager offered comp bottle of wine .
Do understand being under presssure however time delay not acceptable
Service was phenomenal! Tia was our waitress and she was brilliant. Our kids were allowed to roam free and play and food was only served when we asked for it! Could not have asked for a better birthday celebration’
We really enjoyed the food but were not impressed with waiting nearly 1 hour for our first drink that went with the estate menu even though we asked why and they said due to corporate function in Garden pavilion
Our lovely waitress Lucy was very good but she was put in an awkward position when items were not ready
Maybe some bread or nibbles if you make people wait this long
This is an attractive venue with great service and menu options. We shared the beef brisket, which was delicious but a large serving and really should be shared by more than two people.

We had a wonderful lunch. It has a relaxed vibe with excellent food and service. The bubbles and wine were very pleasing.
Predictably good food as expected but the service was outstanding - especially as they had a very large number of groups, high teas , brunches , etc to deal with . Our interstate guests were very impressed and they are hard markers usually .
The food was to die for. The charcuterie board was delicious, paired with a salad and some chips it was the perfect amount of food. The Prosecco was gorgeous and the service was great. We will definitely be back.
The building is beautiful and the staff are helpful without being intrusive. The atmosphere is excellent and other diners seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. We loved the lamb shoulder and berry crumble in particular. Personal attention from chef Darren Perryman made it extra special.
