Phil's Main Street Grille
This was my husband and my first time trying Phil’s for dinner (we’ve been for their always excellent breakfast many times). We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We decided on the meat pizza and the poutine to share. The poutine had sausage gravy and bacon, garnished with scallions over excellent French fries. Delicious, though a drizzle of melted cheese would have been a great addition to add to the “poutine-ness”! The pizza was excellent with a thin, crispy crust under a wonderful sweetish red sauce and smothered in a variety of meats and plenty of cheese-y goodness. Great food and plenty of it. Definitely on our short list of very good, casual places to enjoy!
Nice place, food was delicious. Would go back again.
I didn’t know what to expect when we walked in. It was a little drab on the inside so I expected a mediocre meal. The service was eh, until the later shift server came on and took our bill. The food however, was OUTSTANDING! My partner got the barbecue pulled pork platter and ate literally every bite. I ordered the tuna club with fries and it was crazy good. The fries are phenomenal. I’m not a big potato person but these fries were addictive. My 2.5 year old loved her grilled cheese and ate every last fry on her plate. I would definitely come back again when in the area. I just think our server could have been better. We had to ask for silverware and she never came to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything. The second shift server was great though. She seemed very attentive with her tables and she was very friendly.
First time and it was a great little joint with good friendly service, good food and great prices. Will definitely go back!
Food was delicious, service was excellent.
This place wasn’t a grille... it was Phil’s Pizza/Diner... although the food was good, it wasn’t anything I expected. I booked this reservation, not knowing anything about the area, for my daughters birthday dinner as she is away at college and we wanted to surprise her with this dinner. This place looked nothing like the pictures listed on the website. Will not be a returning customer.
Service was amazing.
Greasy spoon type place. You can get breakfast all day!
Unfortunately, I can't explain my recent dining experience in enough detail to convey how marginal the progressed. Being a small restaurant I assumed it would be somewhat cozy and inviting, which was not the case. It was more like an outdated restaurant waiting for Gordon Ramsay.
While I can be comfortable anywhere I do expect the food, even in an outdated restaurant, to be good. This was not the case with undercooked pasta, mac and cheese, and coleslaw that was inedible. The BBQ platter arrived with overcooked dry chicken wings. Maybe breakfast is the meal to have at Phil’s?
The overall service was pleasant and welcoming.
Fun, enjoyable, casual meal. Beer and wine available. Local place.
A good breakfast at a reasonable price. Great Service.
The new upgrades to the building are great, last lunch with my college boys before they headed back never disappoints.
Classic breakfast that is affordable and delicious.
Love phils. Friendly service. Foood comes out fast hot & delucious.
The pizza was absolutely delicious. We had a picky eater at our table and she said her pizza was exactly to her specification and delicious!
Always excellent! Great drinks and view from sitting atop the roof. Food never disappoints either.
The food and drinks were amazing! Will be coming back soon - everyone was so pleased with everything :)
We are from out of state we’ve been coming to your establishment for 30 some years and it’s always been great and will hope to see you soon thank you
Great deck for eating outside and enjoying drinks!
Waitress was good to seat us. Other than that I feel she had more important things to do.
Asked for a round of water to start. Skips that and forgets we even asked, but has no problem bringing out the cocktails. $$
Food came out cold. Music was 90’s blink 182 crap blaring in our ears on the rooftop. After finishing the appetizers, we must of waited 12-15 min for her to come back. When she finally did, we had empty drinks and no napkins with plates all over the table.
Asked for napkins and wet wipes twice. She finally gets reminded (twice now), and comes back with one wet wipe. No napkins.
At that point, we had decided to go elsewhere. Otherwise would have taken another 30 minutes to get our cold food and napkins.
Thanks but never again.
Really pleasant rooftop space and lunch was good too
Whenever we stay in South County, we stop at Phils
I ordered baked scrod and it was so dry I started coughing! My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan and the chicken was very rubbery almost like a frozen patty. Salad wasn’t included in the meal. Overall very disappointed.
Looking for a change of pace. Food was good and would go back again.
Had the pulled pork sliders with waffle cut sweet potato fries. Excellent! Will be back for more!
Service was a bit disjointed, between the server/bar tender and the “runner”- difficult at times to get their attention. They were very nice, polite.
It was windy on the roof and the propane heater was kind of rattling around- we were a little fearful that it might fall on us. Food was good.
Great drinks and calzones while listening to live music under the tent!
The wood fired pizza is delicious! The outdoor roof deck is provides wonderful ambience and plenty of social distancing!
A breakfast date! Very good breakfast and love the bloody Mary’s! They’re made perfectly!
Great breakfast. Service was speedy and friendly. Will definitely be back!
The outdoor rooftop deck is lovely!! Staff is friendly and follows all safety guidelines. The pizza was absolutely delicious!!
Good spot for breakfast and lunch!
Always enjoy our visit to Phil’s.
Dined outdoors on the deck for late breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient with all safety precautions in place. Food was excellent, as were the drinks!
Clam pizza and fish/cod bites are a must!
The personal pizzas were excellent. I found I liked Guinness. The price was right and the weather was right. Can't wait to go back.
You know it’s not good when the kids don’t like their pancakes. Disappointing food and atmosphere.
Pleasant evening on the roof deck. Service was good. Covid precautions very good.
Great Sunday brunch!
Family vacation. 10 people. My first meal in a restaurant in 4 months. We picked a winner. Roof top. Plenty of social distance. Waitress very aware.
Service great. Food great and plenty to eat.
So glad we discovered you. Certainly will come back.
