Philippe Chow - Uptown
We really enjoyed our dinner. One of the best Peking ducks I have ever had. Adam our waiter was great. We are definitely going to go again next time we are in NYC.
The Green Prawn dish was not prepared correctly. unfortunately we ordered it for two so both entrees were a problem. we’ve had the dish before, and requested it be made again and waiter did not budge. he offered to bring seasoning instead. i’ve never had something so strange happen. ended up getting an additional portion of the 3rd dish, not what we went for. big disappointment.
Philippe Chow was a great experience! Loved the ambience. It was a little noisy so we weren't really able to hear our waiter. Other than that the food and the experience was a success. I would definitely go again.
The food is delicious! My party ordered different appetizers which included dumplings, chicken satay, ribs, and pork fried rice. The service was great! We were seated in the wine cellar which was great! Can’t wait to go back!
Great food and service
NOISY but the food is so good I wonder if the noise is from everyone complimenting the staff.
The staff was phenomenal, and the food and drinks were delicious!
A perfect place for us celebrating my son 10th birthday, the smile on his face was priceless, he enjoyed the food and most importantly the Cotton candy moment was amazing. Thank you guys for the wonderful service.
The good waa amazing it was my birthday and I totally was in my glory
The food is good and vaguely chinese. We experienced the lunch specials which were all rather sweet, as many American Chinese restaraunts prepare their food. Nothing out standing about the food. The service and ambience were excellent, aside from a matrie dame who does not look customers in the eye. Last, the restaraunt is expensive, in line with most of the other restaraunts in the area.
Food was amazing. Great place to go for my wife’s birthday.
Modern chinese food and fine dining go well together!
Had the Peking Duck. Best in NYC.
Great food. Fun atmosphere
The night was spectacular! Eddie is such a gentleman and Nick our waiter is a gem! The food was so delicious and the ambiance was perfect! We cannot wait to come again! Thank you!
I received an email were you told me: “We missed you at Philippe Chow - Uptown”. This is false. I attended the reservation at 2 pm, with my wife and daughter. We choose 3 fixed menu. Was a splendid time with the family.
I imagine the atmosphere is catered to dining time. Wonderful food and caring staff.
Excellent dining experience all around from the friendly and attentive staff to the wonderful food served family style for everyone to taste. I loved it thank you. We celebrated a birthday there with the Cotten candy baked Alaska flambay highly recommended.
It was just as I remembered! The food was delicious. Our waiter Amir was really nice and attentive. I enjoyed my dining experience at Phillipe’s! I will be back!
Aleays love Phillipe!!!
Excellent food and awesome service as usual! Much better table this time around!
Food was lukewarm and service was mediocre. I had very high hope for Philippe Chow during my stay in New York.
The food was very good. Something did aggravate me, however. My guest and I ordered iced tea. It was a tiny glass of tea, mostly ice. We both asked for a refill and was charged $5.00 for each glass. $20.00 for watered down iced tea is horrible.
They did not respect our reservation. We arrived ainda said we have a reservation, the girl ego was hosted looked her book To confirm, coube our nane and reservation and said we have To watt for the table. Afete 45 minutes of waiting we assédio about our table and she said we do not have a reservation. Só we complain, showed her our reservation and asked To talk To the manager. The manager solved the trouble but it was not a good experience.
The food and the service are impeccable! Friendly staff and amazin food! Great for any event!
Always nice to visit Philippe Chow.Food is consistently good. So glad we can hear each other's conversations. Staff is always friendly. It was particularly nice that our birthday guest was served desert with a sparkling torch candle that delighted all of us.
Had to wait 40 minutes for the table (with reservation), music in the lobby/bar area was very loud, not much quieter in the dining area (couldn't hear the waiter the first time he spoke). But the food was delicious! We had green prawns, Beijing chicken and apple/almond tart with Ice cream. Cocktails were tasty as well. Fortunately we went there at the later hour (reservation was for 9pm), don't know how noisy/busy it's earlier in the evening.
Excellent food and service! I cant wait to go back.
Spare ribs were excellent. Vegetable lo Mein was too salty to eat. Fried duck salad had too much vinegar dressing. Service was very good.
The food was incredible. We got the salt and pepper lobster that was amazing, chicken satay, soup dumplings, lo mein and bok Choy. Would probably not return due to the terrible service, attitudes of the staff, inattentiveness of the waiters. For such a high priced/quality restaurant, the service should reflect. Very disappointed.
Absolutely delicious !!!
The food is beyond awesome. Many compliments to the chefs and staff. Always exquisite. Service impeccable from hostesses to waitresses to busing staff. Everyone is warm and accommodating. My one and only complaint is that the tables in the first dining room downstairs (across from the bar area but down the steps) are entirely TOO CLOSE together. When dining at a fine restaurant I shouldn’t have to hear the entire conversation of the patrons dining next to me and the table next to theirs and the table next to theirs and so on. I also shouldn’t have to experience the gluteus maximus of the patron dining next to me directly in my face when they get up - while I’m eating. It
was not romantic at our anniversary dinner... actually offensive and Phillipes should seriously consider reconfiguring the seating so that restaurant patrons can move freely between tables. It’s awkward and very uncomfortable with the few inches that currently exist. I’m not overweight at all and I had to squeeze to get out to go to the restroom (which is too dark - another issue- I can’t fix my makeup if I can’t see my reflection) and as I maneuvered to get out, I was frighteningly close to making something spill off of my table or my neighbors. Please think about taking out a table or two to make more room and lessen the decibel in the dining room. Other than that, I’m in love.
Our first time visiting and it exceeded all expectations. Server was awesome and the food incredible. Definitely on my return list when I visit again.
The food was so so. My chicken broccoli had good flavor but the chicken seemed mushy.
My lunch meeting was flawless. The food was perfect and the lunch time service was efficient.
Outstanding as always. This place is a must stop every time we come to NYC!
Don’t miss the Peking duck!
Fantastic experience! Can’t wait to go back on my next visit to NYC
High end Asian, always excellent. Can’t beat the cute panda chopstick holders. Love the satay, spring rolls, crispy duck salad, and a terrific prix fixe. Never disappoints.
Service and drinks were great, food was ok
Philippe was better than ever. The prix fixed lunch has always been wonderful, but the seasoning was the best it has been. The brownie with coconut sorbet and whipped cream was delicious.
