Lovely food and good service. Quiet night, and staff were in good humour given conditions.
Staff were very conscious of current environment - all wore gloves and patrons were seated apart. Also, hand sanitizer at entry.
Persone is a beautiful restaurant. The menu is really great and surprisingly reasonable considering how nice it is. The food is always great as is the service. Will continue to come back again and again.

Had a most enjoyable evening entertaining guests at Persone. The restaurant was a hive of activity but we were still able to enjoy flowing conversation without too much interruption. The food and service were of an extremely high standard and the views are beautiful over the river across to QPAC and the Wheel of Brisbane. Would definitely recommend and look forward to dining at Persone again.
We had a date night at persone and firstly cannot believe how well priced the menu is. Service was top notch with very friendly and helpful waiters that knew the menu well. It got quite busy but the staff seemed to be there when you needed them. My wife loved the bomboloni dessert. Wine list could have a few more natural wines but that’s just my taste. We really could not have asked for a better night out
The food was lovely. However, given the site has such a prime view, it was unfortunate to be seated behind the large structure in the middle of the restaurant, with no view at all. The service was off on the night, which didn’t help the experience.
Wait staff didn't communicate with each other and we got read out the menu and the specials twice. They kept on interrupting us how the drinks and food are going every five minutes by three different staff. It seemed quiet for a Friday night but they should just keep to the assigned tables if they have any and John was almost pestering us coming to us so frequently.
Papadelle was undercooked, chewy and floury. When mentioned the dish was taken back and got a replacement serving but it was way too salty.
We had better pasta served at a franchise.
It was a great atmosphere with good views of Southbank. The food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty, I would definitely recommend this place and we’ll be coming back.

Good night out just a little bit disappointed with the service as no ice bucket came with the wine nor more water and the salad greens were just kale but otherwise food was awesome

On New Years Eve I enjoyed the best food and most wonderful service at Persone. I could not wait to return on Valentines Day with a very special lady in my life and impress her.
Simply stated the food was atrocious, saved only by the dessert.
The service was a mix of being ignored and frantic. Only one young lady made the effort to provide some qualitative service and for that I am grateful she allowed me to salvage some value from the. Persone experience.
As far as ambiance is concerned Persone need to seek some professional advice, they have missed a sense of ambiance by miles.
What was wonderful about the evening was that the Lady I was with still appreciated our time shared - it would have been better if I could have shared with her the food and service that I experienced in my previous visits to Persone
Overall we had a negative experience at Persone. We went for a valentines meal. Food was average. We paid and left. When we had left we checked our bank account to notice we had been charged for the meal twice. We went back and the manager said this is probably an error and you shouldnt have been charged twice, she passed her number in case the money hasn’t cleared and appeared in our account by next day (Saturday). We checked the bank the next day and we saw the money was still not in our bank and we had still been charged double the amount. We reached out to the manager to inform her of this. To which we got a call later in the day asking us to wait until Monday to see if it was back in our account. The meal wasn’t cheap and cost us around $230, so it has really cost us $460. We hope to have this money back ASAP. But I am not happy with the time this is taking to resolve. For a restaurant who only takes card, you would think they would have better facilities!
The French Maître de was fabulous. Warm and welcoming so set the tone to be a relaxed and enjoyable evening. How far from the truth this was. We were a party of 4 who had hoped to have a unique dining experience on a Friday evening. Yes it was Valentine’s Day. Yes there were couples all around. However that only added to the presumed enjoyment. How wrong we were....
Our waiter John was timid, spoke so quietly that after two of us repeatedly said, “sorry what was the special?” and “what was the market fish?”, that both our husbands chose to sit back and tune out till John left the table so they could then ask us what he is said. Neither of us could confirm it either. Drinks took forever to come and when we did manage to pin down the sommelier she was helpful and did pick a lovely red, however the onus was on us to refill our glasses as well wave madly for attention for other drinks for our husbands. With regards ambience, we could not have been seated in a worse position. Jammed into the corner, a view of nothing other than direct exit to outside veranda - so we not only endured the heat of the evening as the door remained open but also multiple staff walking repeatedly back and forth all night.
Entrees were oysters and stuffed zucchini flowers. Group gave the oysters 8/10 (there was no explanation from the waitress as to what the accompaniment was with them), and the zucchini was passable 6/10 (not as fresh or lightly tempura as I had in Melbourne at Grossi Florentino in December 2019.) One group member is GF, and our waiter struggled to be convincing as to the ability of the kitchen to provide GF. Since the lighting was so dim it was difficult to see “GF” on the menu however I assured her there would have to be options since a girlfriend of mine had eaten there and she is GF. Mains were Fish, steak, pappardelle and GF seafood pasta. None were standouts to be honest and I had so been looking forward to eating the ragout which left me disappointed. 3/10
When we arrived we were seated outside, with the sun beating down on us. Peak hour traffic hummed in the background. Summer afternoons in QLD are hot, especially in direct sunlight. There was no mention of this when booking. We asked to be moved inside but to no avail. We ordered crumbed veal that was inconsistently cooked, and quite fatty for veal. Service was ok but I had to pour my last glass of wine. Definitely better italian options around Brisbane.
Bit stale and clinical. Wine list was disappointing, not enough Italian reds by the glass and bottle prices too high.
It was really bad experience i have ever had before in fine dining in brisbane. Food was served with cold condition and taking more than 1 hour. Server was no care with empty drinks, however, manager dealt with our complain with good manner and giving other options since we mentioned. Im the one who enjoys experiencing fine dining every weekends but i will not recommend this place to go for special day.

This is my favourite restaurant and it didn't disappoint. I went with my family to celebrate my birthday and everyone commented on the superb the food, service and ambiance! Highly recommend.

Food was amazing especially the ragu and scallops - the presentation and taste was beautiful fine dining compliments to the chef. However the service, presentation and atmosphere let you down :(
I would like to suggest white table clothes and candles instead of placemats and bright lighting. Esp in the five star W hotel building.
We were served by many different waiters, which is ok but not ideal if they don't communicate with each other, and we were served from the left, right, middle no consistency but the restaurant was busy.
Lastly there was wine from Clare on the wine list that was from the Barossa which was misleading.
Our table was booked for 8.15pm and had a drink in the bar first. Had to remind staff re our booking. Orders were taken promptly but had to wait for 50 minutes for our meals during which time we were offered bread while we waited. Food when arrived was first class and our waiter John, very attentive. Desserts arrived quickly. We told front of house staff 4 times that there was no toilet paper in ladies loos but nothing was done.
The decor and set-up of the restaurant was lovely. The ambiance was very welcoming and warm. The service of staff was great, it took about 10 mins to get our drinks list but that is only a very minor negative otherwise the rest of my experience was great!
'Persone' met all my expectations. Immediately when arriving at the restaurant I was blown away with the ambience and style. My partner and I were seated overlooking the most beautiful view of North Quay, Brisbane! The waitress was polite, on the ball and prompt. I would like to make a special mention to Claudia! I only briefly mentioned that it was my 21st and she made the night really special. I also loved her personality and bubbliness! Highly recommend the oysters! Most beautiful tasting and impeccable flavor (with the extras!!)… our main course meals were full of flavor and met all expectations. To top it off... the desserts!! I had a little extra message on mine in chocolate stating HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Big thank-you. Oh and also! The price points were terrific - definitely worth every cent.

Located in the new Brisbane Quarter, Perone is a great venue for a business or small group lunch or dinner. Service was efficient and pleasant with just the right time allowed between seating and serving of beverages and food. Menu is typical good quality authentic Italian cuisine with generous servings for main course in particular. Ambience is quite lovely with an outlook over the Brisbane River. Restaurant was quite busy however the layout is excellent with nice spaces between other diners so that it still feels quite intimate. Would highly recommend.
Lovely ambience but the menu didn't really enthuse me, fairly standard options. Good wine list by the glass and good knowledge of team for recommendations.
