We arrive at the Hilton and the male concierge was wlvery friendly very polite and very professional so i immediately thought , yes , this will be great

The filipino women serving us was atrocious

And that is being rude to macdonald's because they have a standard and all are usually very lovely
The filipinos's are especially great!!!
But this women was terrible

I have now problem paying good money for good food and good service

Unfortunately, we were terribly disappointed with the service. We had to wait nearly and hour and a half for our meal. It was Mother’s Day and it should have been a special day. The place was full of parents and families and it looked like everybody had the same problem as several people complained about waiting for their meal. One lady sitting next to us who was staying at the hotel had to leave before her meal came as her bus came. She had been waiting nearly the same time as we had.
I had eaten there twice before and had no complaints before. Their excuse was everybody came in the same time. That was not true. It looked as if you had only one chef on and that they turned up late for work. We had to order a drink when we ordered our food as nobody has taken our drink order.
I have very high standards and I have worked in the industry and it is not the way to run a restaurant.
As I said I was terribly disappointed as my husband works away from home is only home every 3rd week for a few days so I was looking forward to going out for a special lunch. It was one that I will not forget but all for the wrong reasons.
We had a booking for 8pm and despite this we were not seated until 8:30. The service staff didn’t know much regarding the menu. The entrees were tasty but overpriced. Our mains took an hour to come out, the steak was not cooked well and the cut was not great quality. We were very disappointed with our dining experience and will not be visiting again.
Booked a table for 7:30pm in the restaurant and was asked to wait in the bar, waited for just over 30mins to be seated only to be seated in the bar area and not the restaurant, even thought there were empty tables for two in the restaurant area. Once seated the waitstaff asked if we would like water for the table, which we did and then waited 20mins for water. We ended up walking out, and went somewhere else for dinner.
Delicious food and wonderful range to choose from. Staff were amazing and could not do enough to make our night perfect. Fairly noisy in the restaurant.

evening was spoilt by the meal,I had ordered “medium”cooked fillet steak and it arrived “blue”(seared very lightly and very raw).My grandaughter ordered “medium rare”and hers was also “blue”
The standard of the room was not acceptable either,there was wallpaper peeling away,mould around the air con vent and hair and dust on the bathroom floor,we had also booked and paid for three adults and was given a room with two double beds when I enquired I was politely told we could have a fold up bed but it wouldnt leave
much room to move around, my grandaughter did not stay.
Food was shockingly basic and very poorly presented. The entree of the squid was fishy. Caesar salad was chunks of Cos thrown in a bowl with 1 boiled egg halved and a pile of bacon bits from coles deli with a blob of anchovy in the middle. Cauliflower main dish at $32 was a paste base that was flavourless and clag consistency, and a whole cauliflower divided into 3 and sprinkled with paprika. YUCK.
Risotto was flavourless, no taste at all. Barramundi was a boiled overcooked and slopped onto a plate with boiled veges. This is the Hilton!!!! Well I’ve eaten better in a public hospital. Staff were clearly embarrassed and very attentive. Staff were also very friendly.

Great to be able to have a conversation without shouting & having a dress code. Although was annoyed to see a couple of people in thongs. If you can afford to eat out, buy some shoes & leave the thongs for the beach or the pub
The food was OK. Average fair at best. We had the scallops for entre - these were quite poorly prepared, small and over done. The grilled squid entre was a good size, but possibly a little underdone, just OK.
The fish portion for the main was small and very thin for a Barramundi fillet which again meant it was overcooked. The beef cheeks were the highlight of our meal. Good size and cooked well.
Wait staff were attentive and well presented.
With some more care and better treatment of the ingredients, this could be better.
Despite receiving many confirmations of my booking, the staff initially claimed to have no reservation for me. When I told them my reservation was through Open Table, they went looking for the booking and found it. It seems that Open Table is not the way to make bookings at this establishment. The menu was quite limited but even more so after the staff informed us that 3 of the dishes on it were unavailable. Having made our choices from what was left, the staff member then came back to tell us that one of the dishes we selected was also unavailable. The staff did not communicate well with each other and we found that messages given to one were not relayed to the others. Altogether, a very ordinary lunch experience.
A lovely menu with lots of options and food was to a high standard. The service was amazing and we had a great dinner at PepperBerry. Would definitely return.
The staff were so friendly! Entrée and mains were superb! We had the Scallops and roasted pumpkin for entrée and the beef cheeks and porterhouse with extra prawns for mains. The 2 desserts we had (Chocolate sin and the burnt cheesecake) were a bit of a let down, there was nothing special about them.
Food was great . Had great wine selection. Venue very nice and clean.
Steak was a little overcooked, considering the price this was a little disappointing. Staff were fantastic though, so easily forgotten.
First time at Pepperberry. The service was fantastic. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was quick and delicious. Will definitely be returning and recommending.
Quiet environment, food and service was fantastic
Food was exquisite as was the service. But sometimes I just wish the mains were a decent meal size. The pork was cooked to perfection as were the poached pears side, but just needed a bit more and I'm not a big eater. The service was first class. It was a pleasure to eat there.
Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and the the steak was the best I’ve had in some time. We will be back
For an apparent 5 star restaurant, we were left very very disappointed. It all started off well then went down hill from there. They got busy and I understand that, and I thought we were very patient, however once we got our food (which was very average at best) we were never attended to again. We wanted a drink but it was impossible to flag down a waiter, when we finished dinner we waited patiently for 30 minutes for someone to take our plates away and to offer dessert. But no, again it was impossible to get any service. After 45 minutes we decided to get up go elsewhere for dessert. Of course we had to go to the counter and wait to pay the bill. Only excuse we received at the counter, was sorry we are busy. Well sorry that’s not good enough, don’t claim to be a 5 star restaurant and offer this kind of service. We had the seafood platter for 2 and well let’s just say we were extremely disappointed. Not what we expected for $129
Food not the best but not shabby either.
Scallop entree was well prepared. Steak was done to ‘medium’ perfection.
Pasta was not quite al dente yet but Barra was a hit with the 8 year old in our party of 9.
Desserts were a tad disappointing.

The venue was very nice and the service was very good. Wine options were also very good. Absolutely nothing wrong with the food but was probably expecting just a little more considering where the restaurant is located.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. I told them I don’t drink wine ( NT voucher) so they gave me a glass of soft drink instead.
The Service was not very good we had to wait a long time to order for both drinks and food. The food was definitely not worth the money that was spent. Will not be going back anytime soon
The service was not what I would expect to be forcing dining i.e waiter learning across the table to deliver food, also our meal order incorrect and I had taken a bite from the meal before it was taken away. Meals took a long time to come out. And staff had limited knowledge of the drinks menu
Oysters weren't fresh, pork belly skin was gelatinous rather than crispy, soup was lukewarm, steak was overcooked, etc. Only good thing that came out of the kitchen was the squid (entree).
Tandoori Jew fish was over cooked. Steak was very undercooked we ordered medium rare. Chocolate desert was not great. The best thing was the cheese platter. Will I go again.............no. So disappointed 😞

Our first impressions when we walked in were " OK, not what we were expecting. Not really suited for special occasions, more for a casual get together". Staff were very friendly and attentive. Drink service a bit slow - but it was a busy night! Quite noisy too, which was a bit disappointing. Tables for 2 were set up right next to larger family tables. Food was delicious and not oversized. Plenty of side dish options were offered.

Ordered a seafood platter. Fresh oysters and King Prawns were warm - room temperature. Prawns undercooked. Highly priced menu for poor food.
Food was very very ordinary the two dishes I ordered was nothing like it read in the menu!
Chicken they used for the salad was a processed chicken meat from a packet and the poke dish was unappealing no Carmel sauce as written I got honey instead!

What a treat in Darwin. Newly renovated Pepperberry is stylish, classy and the food is superb. The service was really attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. I was surprised by the reasonable bill at the end of the evening. Would love to return before we depart next month to head down South.
