No words - amazing. From the moment you are greeted at the door by Theresa your fab night begins. Choose a bar seat and watch the master in action - Barrett. The service is always amazing, and the food is exquisite at a great price point. Always my favourite place to go in Melbourne when I’m there.

Two issues stand out and put the restaurant in a bad light: 1) the review request implies a cost of $250 whereas it was $440, and 2) the experience was purchased at $350 but, at above, we were charged $440. A couple of the dishes were good, though all very small, the wine was fine, and as indicated the ambience and service were good. Deceit is not good!

Hi Pamela, We have looked at your bill from the evening. You ordered 2x Pearl Experience Set Menu at $125pp, ($250) as well as the matching wine pairing at $95pp ($190). This total comes to $440. All prices were listed on the menu when you made your selection, as well as printed on your bill at the end of your reservation. I am not sure why you believed your bill should have been $350, but we have most certainly done nothing deceitful, and we resent your accusation. Your review is slanderous and untrue. A beautiful and unique experience! I highly recommend doing the tasting menu with matching wines. Service was great, I could not fault any of the dishes. A hidden gem for sure!

Melbourne is full of great restaurants but unfortunately this is not one of them First it is impossible to find. It’s upstairs and there is no sign at street level. I guess you should somehow intuit where it is. They specialize of course in oysters and Chablis. Sadly the oysters were mediocre at best. They should have been better chilled and and they could have had better taste. The rest of the menu is rediculously small as are the portions. 3 bites maybe of very forgettable food with full price tags. But how bout the service? Indifferent at best. How this place stays in business is a mystery

A chic, cosy intimate place to enjoy some excellent food and wines. Informative and helpful staff. One of the best gastronomical experiences I have had in a while.

If you like Chablis, this for you. Intimate French bar setting with very engaging staff. The wine flight was exceptional. Food perfectly matches and the oysters are fresh and supper flavoursome. Well done

Fabulous night out. From the unexpected location and the amazing fit out through to friendly staff and a few laughs. Matteo guided us through the experience menu and the sommelier was fabulous in explaining the wine pairing with each course. Wonderful experience - food was delicious, complex and beautifully presented . wine was delicious too. We will be back.
