The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Amber could answer all our questions without hesitation and was a tremendous help in helping us to match the wines to the meal.
The food was excellent and the balance in each element of each dish was superb. The steak tartare and the kingfish an absolute standout.
I would highly recommend Peacock and Jones. it was an outstanding evening.

Fourth visit over past two years simply outstanding food and great location
A fabulous dining experience - beautiful setting with a quiet yet interesting ambience. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Surrounded by history yet comfortable in a relaxed and luxurious setting. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Excellent food and the service and staff were very professional and friendly.
I went to Peacock and Jones, the same time last year and had a fantastic experience.
So I decided to go again this year. Food was delicious, but the wait staff were overwhelmed and inexperienced which was a let down.

Our waitress was fabulous and very enthusiastic for the menu and the chef and was very knowledgeable about the options. We were also very impressed that there was a separate vegetarian menu. The ambience was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
We had a really lovely meal with great service original menu that was super tasty and a good wine list. We will come again when next in Tasmania

Brilliant food, complex and imaginative menu options. All serving staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wines. The venue has great ambiance and was not noisy, we would recommend it to anyone wanting a very special dinning experience.

Negatives: Three boiled potatoes as a $17 entree was hard to understand. Lack of description on menus seemed unnecessarily pretentious and unhelpful. Dessert unremarkable.
Positives: Staff were friendly, good atmosphere, wine good, convenient location, and our mains were delicious.
Excellent food. The best I’ve eaten in quite some time. Every mouthful was exquisite. The soft chocolate dessert just topped it off. This restaurant is now on my “whenever I have a celebration” list.

Great food and great service.
Limited menu, slow service and noisy. Wine very expensive.

We sat in the bar area had to wait 25 minutes before we spoke up and complained .

Whilst we enjoyed our meal, for us it didn’t have the ‘wow’ factor. Service, whilst friendly, was hit and miss . We had to ask to have wine glasses refilled etc (wine was kept away from the table) and staff weren’t very engaging .

The food and setting / location are excellent. The service lacked the attention to detail that you might expect from such a restaurant, we waited a long time between courses and we felt like we had been forgotten.

Beautiful food! Great friendly staff and great service quality food and wine celebrating Tassie’s produce.
We came because the restaurant states it has a vegetarian menu on their website but when we got there, the options were really poor. Macaroni and cheese or a plate of Roasted Pumpkin, unimaginative and disappointing. We were going to leave to go somewhere else but after talking to the lovely wait staff, we decided to stay. My entree was a savoury bean pancake with goats curd which was balanced and delicious but my main was the macaroni and cheese, which was ok but a but I have had better for cheaper. I was surprised to see mac and cheese in a fine dining restaurant. To justify the price, it really had to be something sensational and unfortunately it fell flat. My partner enjoyed his meat dishes and finished off my main for me, he agreed it was a bit starchy and bland.

Delicious food indeed, would return on next trip to Tas.
Service was good, food was good but super slow. We waited for a very long time for our meals.
We enjoyed our dinner at Peacock & Jones. Food was good and service top notch.
Google maps shows it as more or less waterfront venue, so we were a bit disappointed to find out there are actually no views. We were travelling and had not been to the area before, asked for harbour/water views specifically at time of reservation. No one came back to us to say that was not an option.
On a family holiday
The venue honours its Jam Factory Heritage in style and presents a cosy and intimate dining experience. The food served was absolutely amazing and on that basis alone, we will visit every time we come to Hobart. All credit to the chef, the food was faultless. The servers are delightful, We constantly had to ask for out wine (they keep the bottle at the serving station) , forgot our bread request, serving station was overflowing with dirty glasses, lots of confusion over other guests booking and seating......... it seemed the kitchen has it nailed, the venue is gorgeous and the front of house team are willing

Food was great and setting was beautiful. For the price the mains were very small and similar in sizing to their entrees which is unfortunate but otherwise very delicious.

Last minute booking turned into an amazing night. Had 4 entrees and 1 main between us. Asked the waitress to surprise us with her selecting it. She chose the duck for us, perfect choice. Could not fault Peacock and Jones in any way. Will definitely visit next time we are in Hobart
