Our Italian Chefs craft their dishes from scratch, with emphasis on locally grown produce, much of which is grown in Samford. Fresh, simple, quality ingredients are masterfully plated with European flair, complemented by a generous wine list with both Australian and International offerings.
We love entertaining groups (especially Birthdays!), and have a large Deck overlooking the Valley that can accomodate groups up to 24. We can cater for up to 90 guests dining, or 125 "cocktail" service with small plates and canapés.
We are perhaps best known for our 7-8 course "Leave it to Chef" degustation, which parades 5 courses of food from our current menu across your table. It's a special experience, and highly recommended.

We decided to go with the Chef's choice and were impressed with the quality, variety and freshness of all the courses. There was sufficient time between courses for conversation and to appreciate the local produce that was next on the menu. We loved that the chef used local Millen farm produce and explained each of the courses. We would definitely recommend the upstairs deck dining experience.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was presented beautifully and my tastebuds were not disappointed. The staff were so helpful and lovely. It was a pleasure to dine here and will be returning. Thank you to the staff and compliments to the chef.
Excellent food, great ambiance.
Lucas served us & had outstanding knowledge of each course. We were placed next to enclosed fireplace hence even though we were outside we were kept warm& comfortable at all times.

Good food - two of us had the barramundi and two had the aged rib steak; both meals cooked perfectly and were tasty. Friendly service and pretty good except that wine was never refilled from the bottles we had purchased. The chairs were quite uncomfortable though. It was difficult to lean against the back rest without feeling too far back. We ended up with a sore neck/back by the end of the night because we couldn't relax into the chair. We were sitting at the high tables. Maybe the low tables would have been better as the chairs are different.
Appreciate the feedback David. When booking, please let us know if you would prefer to be at the lower tables. Many guests prefer the higher chairs as the tables are a bit smaller, and they can "crowd in"...a bit more intimate. Next time you are here, simply let us know if you are uncomfortable, we'd be happy to accomodate you at another table. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

An incredible, creative menu, and outstanding wine list. We "left it to the chef" and were not disappointed - we were delighted. Wonderful, warm service. Ambience was only let down because we were celebrating our anniversary which fell on a Tuesday so other than ourselves the place was empty. Will definitely be back on a busy night as I am sure this place will be warm and inviting with the buzz of many diners.

We loved the 5 star degustation dinner we had the other night. The food was amazing and extremely large serves, fantastic wine suggestions, we had a wonderful waiter and even though it's outdoors, we were kept comfortably warm with heaters and blankets. We will definitely go back again!!

Pause is a wonderful culinary experience. You feel as though you have visited another culture without leaving Australia. I believe because the owners invest time and engage with their guests, that this filters down to the staff who are also perform his or her role with excellence.
What can you say about the tastes that melt in your mouth. The presentation alone invites you to eat in what turns out to be a unbelievable; as you indulge in food you would not be able to prepare yourself without the knowledge that obviously goes into the preparation of each dish.
Experience Pause once and I guarantee you will return just as we do.
Second time there to celebrate my birthday-did not disappoint, everyone walked away new customers.

Fabulous set menu for Anzac Day. Exceeded expectations with dishes given for $. Steak for Main was incredible! We are Never disappointed at Pause.
Pause is in a great location and the food and wait staff are consistently excellent.

We partook in another of Pause's "Italy comes to Samford" nights. This time the region was Taranto in Puglia on the heel of the boot of Italy.
A fabulous five course meal with accompanying wines, live entertainment and informative descriptions of the wines by the new sommelier, Luca, combined for a very enjoyable evening out.
