Food was excellent, service attentive without being overbearing.
We made a reservation so we were seated immediately. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Our food was delicious and the manager came by to check on us and to acknowledge our anniversary. Will definitely come back!
Recommend it highly. Delightful service and food is delicious.
Great food, service, selection
I made a reservation earlier in the week for the patio at 5:30 PM. We were told that we could have our spot until 7m as they had another reservation coming in. Really? That doesn’t seem quite right...🤔
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The cedar planked salmon entree was cooked to perfection. It was well season, the salmon was moist and the spinach and mushrooms were a good accompaniment. Overall great dish. I am planning to return and hope to leave room for the butter cake dessert.
The service was beyond excellent. Very attentive (and it was busy) and when my daughter's steak came out cold and she didn't want to eat it, they comped it. And asked her if she wanted something else on them. That's service. Everything else came out the right temperature and was delicious.
Paul Martin's is a family favorite (especially Happy Hour). We enjoyed another fabulous dinner with some friends who had never been there before!!
From the moment we entered we were welcomed and greeted. We got seated and out waiter was right with us getting out drink ordered and asking if we had any questions about the menu! Dinner was excellent! Just wish we’d had room for dessert!
They were more than accommodating when I requested we move our reservation to earlier than I had originally made. The food was good, and the service was great. I have dined here several times, and never been disappointed. Always a nice ambiance!
My wife and I went there for our anniversary. Our service was excellent, our waiter was both knowledgeable and very friendly. We very much enjoyed our dining experience.
Our first time at PM Grill. Loved everything! Service was great! We’re were there for happy hour which went until 7 - nice! Our waiter said if we ordered one of the burgers or HH wine was included in the price! That was nice but we ended up with pear and prosciutto ham flatbread, salmon with bread, olive tapenade and short ribs! Wonderful!
We went for lunch and had a great hamburger!! Service was excellent and we were seated right away! Will definitely be back!
Muy mal los términos de cocción de la carne. No pidieron sacar un rib eye termino medio en 2 ocasiones.
Everything about Paul Martin's is impeccable! The atmosphere, the service, and of course the food was flawless!!!
The staff at Paul Martin's in Pasadena was outstanding! All staff from hostess, waiter and management staff were very accommodating and in a service frame of mind. Our food was amazing! We drove an hour to have a special dinner for my daughter's 22nd birthday. Thanks to all! We will be back again!
Our food server was extremely friendly and very helpful with them any suggestions however the music was a bit loud and it was hard to talk
Both the food and service at Paul Martin's American Grill are uniformly good. Salads are especially interesting here. Nice comfortable seating, too.
Met my friend for lunch and it was excellent!! We were seated immediately and our server was right there. This was the second time I have been there and it did nit disappoint we split two different sandwiches. The French dip and the vege burger one with fries and the other with the green salad. One sandwich would have been enough!! They r very generous! W highly recommend.
Great for my wife’s birthday.
Our server, Lisa, was exceptional! Her recommendations were spot on for us.
Our server was good. She was friendly and efficient. Food was good and it was a good deal. However, we had a bad experience with the host/hostess that seated us to our table. We were greeted by three different staff after we walked in to the restaurant. We had a reservation, but all three staff seemed confused as to where to seat us. Finally, a hostess lead us to our table. We were seated but was not given any menus. After sitting there for 5 minutes, I flagged down a waitress and told her that we need menus. After receiving our menus, the rest of the evening went well. I don't understand why the host/hostess were so confused where to seat us and why we were not given menus as soon as we were seated. Seems to me that the host/hostess staff need better training. Other than the confusion at the beginning, we were happy with the rest of the evening. Food was good.
Took visitors to Paul Martin's because it was close and food always good. My friends appreciated the varied menu and the wine choices. We all agreed we had an enjoyable meal.
Great food as usual.
The food and service were excellent. We had the skirt steak and buttermilk fried chicken, both was better than good. The best was peach cobbler!!
Steak was rare then redone over cooked, but the manager and Bar staff was fantastic
Let bed the casual atmosphere of this place and the kind and smiley waitress. The good was great since the ingredients are different.
Service was sub par. We were seated at at table for six when we had 3 in our party. The occasion was my husband’s birthday but I was preoccupied that our daughter was feeling ill. So it was more apparent when we realize how slowww the service was. The food was definitely not up to the prices. The halibut was okay so for $34, it was a disappointment. Desert was wonderful. Trying to find the valet attendant to leave was another task. Not impressed one bit even if our daughter was feeling 100%.
Excellent place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Our server, Amber, was attentive, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Manager came over to check on us during the meal as well. Classy establishment without being pretentious. Highly recommend.
The Paul Martin's at Pasadena is a nice place for a business meeting with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is near a public parking plaza which is convenient. I recommend this restaurant.
The food, service and ambience are always great. Food is fresh, good quality and prepared tastefully.
The servers are just so nice and eager to please. The food is creative and excellent! We especially appreciated Lisa’s knowledge of the wine list and food preparation. Besides, Lisa is fun!
First of all, let me say our server was excellent. The food on the other hand not so good. I have been to Paul Martins over a dozen times and usually order the ribs which are usually meaty and very tasty however on this visit I found them to be lacking flavor. They looked like a pile of mush on the plate and not meaty at all. Additionally, they were room temperature and not hot. We also each ordered a wedge salad, mine came without bacon and had to be sent back. There is lots of competition for eateries along Lake Avenue, Paul Martins needs to up its game.
I've been here five times and recommended it often. Best fish tacos. Wonderful brown butter cake. This last time wasn't so good. Had to wait at the door while people tried to figure out my open table reservation. Once seated had to wait for the menu. Then we had to wait to order. Then we had to wait for the bread service. Watched our server wipe his face with his bare hand several times. Not appetizing. Perhaps he had too many tables but the other wait-staff didn't seems so frenzied. Fried chicken just okay. Disappointed.
We skipped this restaurant for the last 3 months after a bad meal- bad service and horrible wait for our drinks that were wrong-
HOWEVER- WE JAD A GREAT MEAL THIS TIME WITH GREAT SERVICE FROM JIMMY AND GREAT DRINKS AND MINIMAL WAIT!!!
THE DIRTY MARTINIS W/BLUE CHEESE OLIVES WERE GREAT ALTHOUGH I DO PREFER A TRADITIONAL MARTINI GLASS- BUT A WELL MADE DRINK. THE TINA TARTARE APPETIZER WAS NICELY COLD AND GREAT SPICE, THECSALT/PEPPER SHRIMP APPETIZER WAS ALSO HOT AND TENDER SHRIMP W/ AIOLI SAUCE. THE WEDGE WAS CRUNCHY FRESH . WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
We always have a good time and good food when going to Paul Martin's. We chose 3 appetizers for a group of 5--nice generous servings of calamari and sauces were delicious, artichoke/spinach dip delicious, and fried shrimp scrumptious! 2 of us shared a salad--very generous servings. Someone had brick chicken that he loved, especially with the mashed potatoes! I had shrimp linguine, that was delicious--large sweet shrimp and sauce was delicious. Our problem was the halibut that was recommended. Not sure if it was overcooked or had been prepared too early but it was so hard and tough on outside that you needed a knife to cut through fish! I sure hope it wasn't something that had been rewarmed and then overcooked. Very disappointed and first time something hasn't been prepared properly. Everyone else's entree was great and we shared a banana cream pie slice that was out of this world.
Excellent service, delicious food and perfect ambiance. Our server, Derek, was personable, efficient and attentive.
So far not a bad experience in the times we've been here. Friendly staff and good menu selections, not overwhelming, priced fairly.
Everything was excellent, it was my birthday and it was an excellent experience to go to Paul Martin’s. The service was very good the food was very good the ambience was very good and I had a great evening of good memories
