Founder, Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station
From rail side snacks, such as ‘girlfriend chaat,’ cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, ‘rare ghost,’ cooked on board.

We took friends who couldn’t have been more impressed to have such a fab restaurant on our doorstep
Some of the food was excellent! In my opinion the food served here should be shared as many dishes are just not up to a main course by themselves but are too large for sides.
We had a lot left over and asked if it could be packaged separately as I’m a vegetarian. Unfortunately all of the veg dishes that I’d ordered were packed in with the meat dishes. Two containers both with meat and veg, how silly and lack of thought..
Good quality food, great ambience and service. They even accommodated special requests on account of dietary restrictions for two of my guests. Many thanks!
An interesting and unusual menu, very good food, quite spicy, excellent service. Would definitely return.
Great food and quick service and pretty good value . Table for two was very small for when you are trying to get a number of dishes and drinks but it was manageable
Lovely food and relaxed atmosphere
We had a lovely time! Would strongly suggest people visit..food and people were great!
Great as always...
Different Indian with great quality food and our toddler was delighted with his children’s Tahli.
Fabulous food innovative and unusual and great service. Canteen like tables and chairs though so whilst great for the youngsters us oldies need a bit more padding! Expensive but worth the splurge.
Really enjoyed my night here. Loved the chilled vibe and the unusual menu. Service was really good and the food came at a good pace. The small plates were really delicious but I was a bit let down by the mains. Would def go again though!
I was really cold in the restaurant please could this be addressed
Food was average but hugely overpriced. We visited Patri for street food but it’s not street food. Just another Indian restaurant. Service was good.
Food was outstanding and the service exemplary , everything we wanted especially as a party of 10.
Wonderful and varied modern Indian dishes full of interesting flavours. There were lots of items on the menu I will try the next time we go. Honest wine list as well which is always a nice surprise.
Great food, drink and atmosphere
Excellent food! Definetly going again ASAP! I have recommended to all my friends and family!
Amazing as always. One of my favourites that I will keep coming back to!
Lovely, fragrant dishes, nicely presented and above all very tasty!
Delicious food and great service. The food is unusual and freshly prepared. Not at all the normal Indian restaurant.
Having read about this on social media and it local enough we decided to come here for a Sunday family dinner. The food was nice and the presentation was good. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The children's Tali was a bit dry (naan, rice, dry chicken and sweet potatoes fries) there was some yogurt but it was very sweet so my niece didn't want to eat it. The larger serving of the dhal looked to be a decent portion but there was a false base to it so it wasn't as much as you expect we easily corrected this by ordering more. I would come here again and order differently having been here once before.
Very nice food, especially the meat dishes! Good choice of beer too!
We've had 2 experiences at Patri; the first, on a week night - which was much better than the second, on a Saturday night. We arrived to chaos - it was hard to find a host to proceed with our reservation; once seated, it took 4 attempts and 20 minutes to catch the attention of someone to order at least a drink - and food.
One of the starters we selected was cold - due to the amount of time it had taken to get a waiter we decided to plough on with it. Mains were delicious, though came almost as soon as the starter plates had been taken away (in between was another wait for a drink). We were rushed through service then once we had food - no doubt as they needed the table back. The bill also had additional items on that we hadn't had - so that then needed to be dealt with too.
They have also slotted a table in right by the door and then one on the way to the loo - for 2 people too - which frankly isn't ideal and I have to say, I would't be sitting at either of them if offered.
All in all - not a great experience on the Saturday night - it didn't seem as though anyone was in charge; one of the waiter didn't know any of the dishes he was bringing out - which caused more confusion all round.
If we go again - it'll be on a week night, not a Saturday - far too chaotic an experience to justify a bill of £80 for 2 people.
Dear Claire, Thanks for taking the time for leaving us a review. and apologies service was not up to your expectations, we are investigating your complaint seriously as we had 2 managers, one assistant manager, and 4 waiting staff on Saturday. In case you do try us again we would suggest: 1. Please use the dingly bells as we offer service on demand only 2. Please ask the waiter for a break between starters and mains 3. Please ask for the service charge to be removed and ask for a manager
Fabulous restaurant! Such lovely staff. So helpful when choosing from the menu. We love it!
Good was great. There’s a lot of choice which seems overwhelming but I don’t think there’s a bad choice on the menu.
Fantastic restaurant, friendly service. Great tasting food, made using fresh spices and cooked to perfection. Go to local Indian restaurant. A+++
Amazing food, service and environment! Congratulations on a great restaurant
We felt very rushed when dining overall. There no gap between our starter and main. As soon as we finished our starter, the main arrived. Probably the quickest we’ve ever eaten.
The waiting staff kept turning people away who didn’t have a booking. Was strange as most of the place was empty.
Food was okay.
I think they have gone for a fun, funky vibe and is better then some curry houses, but overall not really worth a visit.
Dear Poki, Apologies if you felt rushed this is certainly not our intention. Our food comes as when it's ready just like the street of India. We are not a traditional restaurant, our food is served freshly cooked and within minutes Most customers request a break when ordering or simply ask us to hold mains back and we are happy to accommodate. The staff kept turning customers away as we were fully booked which is why our cafe was specially opened at night to accommodate extra walk in's.
The food was tasty and there were interesting things on offer, but it was expensive for what it was.
Warm and welcoming hospitality. Food is very tasty, need refinement on the details e.g. too much raw onion and longer cooking on the lamb shank... still recommend a visit.
Nice Déco. Nice staff.
Unfortunately I really disliked the food. It didn't feel fresh, not sure about the quality of the ingredients, 2 different starters were very similar (same topping and sauce), too expensive for the quality. I would rather have smaller portion better quality. Also not enough vegetarian options, some dishes were tricky to eat because of the type of plate used. Guideline to ordering needs to be reconsidered as starters are too big so a lot of food was leftover.
But hey that's just my opinion, other people seem to enjoy the food!
I have eaten here several time’s now and loved it every single time. Delicious unusual Indian food served in a great venue. I LOVE IT. A fantastic attribute to our area.... I’ll be back!!! (Again!!)
I really like what they’re trying to do and the staff are very nice and helpful, but the menu is too busy and not particularly easy to fathom, so needs a bit of a rethink in terms of format and layout. The food is always very tasty but never particularly hot (temperature wise). The lamb curry can be a bit grissley and they’ve changed the chicken curry to thigh bone, so not as nice or easy to eat.
It reminds me a bit of masala zone - started out great back in the day but over time became too expensive and too restaurant-like in order to compete and remain profitable.
For these reasons I give it three stars overall as I don’t feel it gives that good value for money compared to a regular takeaway.
Amazing stand-out Indian restaurant with high quality food, perfect service (you can ring a bell when you need the waiter/waitress) and a nice background story to it. Celebrated my birthday here and would definitely recommend!
We have been to Patri about 6 times and have always been really impressed. We have recommended it to lots of people and we have taken different groups of friends. My one small complaint is that the two curries we ordered had a very small amount of meat and lots of sauce. This is not usual and was a bit disappointing.
Totally amazing as always!!
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is out of this world!
Really nice food and a good lively ambience, the only downside for me is that some of the genuine street food they used to do has fallen off the menu and its a little more generic now.
Best place I have eaten in for a while ! Everything we ordered was a feast for the eyes & tastebuds.
The menu was really interesting - full of things I had never had before despite living in London. A great selection of vegetarian & vegan.
Service was friendly & attentive. Very well informed & passionate about the food.
Really looking forward to coming again.
Wonderful atmosphere with amazing food. I took a friend for dinner and she was completely bowled over. The food here is utterly delicious and can compare to eating at my mum's house ( yes I am Indian!) . The food is authentic tasting and the staff know about the food and can guide you if you are not sure what to eat. Of you want food that tastes like your local curry house don't go to Patri. If you want to eat tasty Indian food that is cooked in the authentic way with fabulous ingredients then definitely go to Patri...
Fantastic Resturant and food really nice food. shame the Malbec red wine ran out. We have been here before and it’s better than the last time and the menu has just been revised.
