Launched in 2016 with a social media explosion that was the invention of the FreakShake…Patissez, based in the heart of Manuka, Canberra has become so much more. We are obsessed with amazing fresh food, done right and brought to you with out any of the modern day fancy nonsense. We serve what we love, from our special brunch menu, to tacos that you won’t find anywhere else in Australia, to a range of hand made desserts and bespoke French Toast menu. Our full menu runs all day and thanks to COVID19 we have the most incredible takeaway brunch menu EVER! We offer full table dining as well as our amazing take away menu - either way TEXT IS BEST! Want to eat in? Bookings are ideal although essential for weekends, just send us a text with the date, name & preferred time & we’ll get back to you ASAP. I love this breaky place and the food is always amazing! Unfortunately, on Sunday we just had some mix ups with our booking. The girl who was working didn’t really know how to fix it and wasn’t overly helpful. In saying that, the food was amazing as usual and we’ll happily return for the meals!

Have had great experiences previously here over a year ago but today the highlight was the coffee, the lowlights were the service and food. Staff seemed confused about the reservation system even though more than one table was free and we had booked and confirmed, and unfortunately my friend’s taco had pockets of extreme saltiness.

Honestly the best food ! So happy my partner and I found this place, he got the pulled pork eggs Benny, which was probably the best eggs Benny I’ve had in a very long time 😍 also I highly recommend the chilli scramble if you like a bit of spice !!

The food was good however service was pretty abysmal. Made a reservation but had no table reserved, was lucky enough to get a table however was placed near the register so was a constant back and forth of butts in my face. Took a long time to get acknowledged by staff for any kind of service and everything took a very long time to come out.

The food here is always very good, and the service was polite and warm. We only had a slight frustration at making a booking at 11am but not being seated for over fifteen minutes. Once we’re seated food was very prompt and they thanked us for our patience, I do think though perhaps that if a booking is expected then equally the customers punctuality should also be respected.

Breakfast/brunch is my favourite meal of the day. I like trying out new places for new dishes and takes on tried & tested dishes. Patissez is without question the best place I have eaten. I would (actually, wish I could) happily eat her every day for a fortnight, trying a new dish every day their selection is so enticing. Thank you team at Patissez. See you tomorrow before regretfully having to head back to Orange:)

Can’t rate the food as my husband didn’t even get his meal. I had finished mine and my husband was still waiting. 30minutes. We heard a waitress tell someone they were out of French toast what my husband ordered and then I told the waitress that’s what we ordered too. Not apologetic and bad communication and service. By 10 am they were out of so many items and when we were leaving they were only writing it down on a little window. Bad service, bad communication from kitchen to service and bad communication and service with the customers. We are all the way from Sydney and was recommended this cafe and went out of our way to visit and booked weeks in advance. Disappointed is an understatement. Angry and hungry too. Still confused how you run out of French toast when it’s basically bread, egg and milk. Unless it’s prepared earlier and that’s even worse. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone.

Staff preparing food while not wearing masks during the mask mandate. Took 45 mins to get a bacon and egg roll. Milkshake was no good. ‘Crispy bacon’ wasn’t crispy. Wouldn’t go back.

The freak shakes aren’t as spectacular as they use to be. Service was fast and the food was hot and fresh. Didn’t feel overly clean and we had to return the cutlery and a cup to be replaced due to being dirty.

Always good food. Bit strange at the start, told the service staff I had a booking and they said they would clear a table for us...went to get my group and then someone else was sitting at the table they had said was ours. We were seated outside and it was freezing. Other then that was fine.
