We always enjoy having dinner at Patara Hampstead High Street. However, it appears that the menu recently changed replacing scallops with prawns in Patara Platter. Please bring back scallops!
Consistently good Thai restaurant with a choice of good value set lunches or a la carte. Excellent service.
Food was absolutely delicious. Authentic Thai food with a modern twist. Thoroughly enjoyable. My only complaint would be a slight slowness in service. We waited half an hour tor our order to be taken, and then subsequently did not get our main course for nearly an hour and a half. Very friendly staff but a little disorganised. If that could be sorted out it will be an amazing all round restaurant to visit.
beautifully prepared authentic thai food- extensive and varied menu and good wine list. the black cod is sensational
We had a really lovely evening at Patara on Saturday - the food was different and just delicious and the service was very attentive. We would definitely go back !
Good Thai food in pleasant surroundings
Very good food, excellent service, guy on next table was VERY noisy but left before the end of our meal, pretty expensive, but would definitely go back !
Very good service. Excellent cuisine. Will be booking again.
Food was delicious however the service was not great. The waitress struggled to understand us which could also be due to the high noise level. After being presented the dessert menu the waitress failed to come back to take our order and we had to call her back. When our desserts came the waiter keep taking it to the table next to us. They did run out of the beef cheek Pennang curry which was my first choice and we were seated at 8pm which was disappointing
Positively, the scallops in the mixed starter platter was delicious cooked perfectly.
Delicious well presented food in very pleasant environment. Service wasn’t perfect, we had to ask again for water. On the pricy side. On our list for special occasions.
Delicious, well presented and well flavored/spiced food and drinks
Variable service depends on which member of staff. Misled ad board for set lunch price. Didn’t mind at all as the food was fab, but felt a little cheated when walking in. Overall, the food and service had made up
Never experienced such slow and poor service, why would you serve three out of five people their meals and make the last two wait 20mins
Drinks took a while to arrive and they messed up a friends vegetarian order. The wild ginger beef was excellent though.
Patara serves Thai dishes of an extraordinarily high quality. The ambience of their restaurants and the service is always reliably charming.
Lovely food and great service
Ordered a salad as a starter and informed the staff that my husbsnd was vegan only to find dried shrimp in the salad. They gave 20 percent off the bill but add 12.5 percent service charge!! Does this make up for a vegan eating shrimp!!!!
We love Thai food and decided to try The restaurant for my wife’s birthday. Excellent in every way!
We had the buffet and although it demonstrated a good introduction to Thai food I thought the vfm at 40/head was questionable
Always good for lunch - excellent value set menus. Food consistently good.
Poor veggie food - ordered the chili and basil noodles and it was more similar to tomato pasta. No chilli or basil in it
a very good Thai dining experience with an excellent selection of food, wine and cocktails. Highly recommend
Excellent service and food...would definitely recommend and come again!
The food was nice but overall pricey. The staff are friendly but I think the kids menu needs to be on plates not plastic
Tasty vegetarian food & friendly service!
Amazing starters! My wife ordered sprite but was given a lemonade instead which wasnt what she ordered or informed about. My chicken pad thai was filled with tofu and had no peanuts.
Huge disappointment but starters were very, very good!
Beyond disappointing all round! Service average and food cold not flavoured as described. They just were not bothered when we explained the issues
Super slow service
Good local restaurant- very good value lunch menu with lots of choice. Friendly service.
Perfect as usual, better chef here than in Maddox street, the Spring menu was superb, especially the starter, please keep it on permanently.
The restaurant has a lovely modern decor, classy but not flashy. More comfortable and roomy than we expected for Hampstead (some of its restaurants are quite poky). Food was delicious, service was attentive and price was no higher than is expected for a nice evening out in London.
Delicious authentic Thai food in charming surroundings with fantastic service and a welcoming ambience - highly recommended.
Fantastic food. Nice environment. A little expensive. A place to go as a treat
Beef cheeks curry dish very disappointing. Fatty and chewy. Service great and attentive.
Amazing food and decent portions
Mother’s Day celebration
Food is outstanding! It's relatively pricey but, in comparison to other places in the area, we'll worth the money.
Their was food all over the floors and under the table. Took 15 minutes to get a drink. Our food was sent to two different tables before ours. I had to wait another 5 minutes more to get my green chicken curry and by the time it arrived my rice was cold. Disappointing and won’t go back now.
This was our 4th visit to Patara and I am sad to say, I don't think we will be returning in a hurry.
The food is very tasty but the service has declined so much that it made our visit quite unpleasant. When we told the waitress that we were disappointed she told us that it can only be expected on a Saturday night as it is always busier!! We waited 15 minutes from ordering for our drinks tom arrive, the starters came, but they forgot my soup, and when the mains came most of them were cold. The manager took them away and they returned to our table having been reheated in the microwave and so the sauces were all congealed and the prawns like bullets.
When the bill came the desserts were on the house but the waitress had also double charged us for a main. For the prices and location, Patara really need to relook at the quality of their service otherwise they will become yet another chain to come and go on Hampstead High street.
