Park Street Pasta & Wine
We are located at 268 Park Street on the Corner of Park & Perrins St, just down from the iconic South Melbourne Town Hall.
Our philosophy pays homage to the Italian traditions of 'fatto a mano,' OR, 'made by hand,' referring to the craftsmanship that translates through our seasonal menu.
Our kitchen is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 12 noon and 6pm respectively.
Food, wine and service was first class. Can't wait to go back
Food, wine & service were exceptional as always. Thank you.
Thank you for amazing food and gorgeous wine. Will be back.
The waitress service was poor; lack of patience when we asked her to explained the menu
The steak is served as cold and over cook
All the pasta was great; the texture was amazing
As always great food and service
A sensational meal with quality ingredients carefully prepared in an inspiring way. A terrific wine list and friendly and professional service. We will be back!
The food was different....fresh ingredients cooked with flair and served with knowledge. Wine list was interesting though quite expensive
Love it - slowly making my way through the entire menu.
Fantastic food, fantastic service. It never disappoints!
Loved the food we ate - Agnolotti and Pappardelle were both dishes to come back for - though I'd be keen to try their Cacio d pepe! Pasta had a nice bite but did not leave us feeling heavy, and portion sizes were on the money.
Never disappoints. Always great quality food and great service. Pumpkin tortellini special was incredible!
Food and service where great. Booked on Tuesday for Wednesday night and extended table by 1 before arrival. Wine advice was also good.
Great spot for a date. The mozzarella eggplant entree was excellent
A fabulous place with fantastic food, delicious wine and amazing service. I'll definitely be coming back.
Excellent evening. First class food and wine in a homely, warm and inviting atmosphere
Excellent all round. Fun too.
Great little restuarant with such a good vibe, excellent service and outstanding food and wine.
A fabulous little hole in the wall - delicious food and great atmosphere!
Such a lovely meal, the food was so delicious, lots of flavour and good size. We enjoyed it all. The wine we ordered was a lovely accompaniment to our meal. Service was efficient and with a smile. She understood when to approach the table to take orders. We were upstairs and it was a little noisy to have a conversation when a larger table were making so much noise, but once they left it was definitely easier to hear our friends.
Friendly and helpful staff with great food
Brought my mom for Mother’s Day and we had a wonderful meal! It’s my second time here and I would definitely recommend it to other people :)
Most authentic pasta I have had in melbourne. Flavours are amazing. Recommended wine was 10/10 also. Well done David and team
After reading lots of positive reviews we were really looking forward to this place. However one of the pastas was cold and the other ones (we ordered 4 pastas for 4 people) were very mildly warm. On the plus, the Brussel sprouts and pannacotta were delicious! Ambience was lovely.
Would absolutely recommend Park Street Pasta and Wine Bar.
Excellent simple Italian food. The way it should be.
Great service. Great venue.
The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the agnolotti for a main and the pork meatballs with pesto for an entree. At the same time our group had 5 different entrees and shared them and they were all just as good. If they offer up some more bread take it, it is so fresh and tasty and great for soaking up any just juices from the sauces on the pasta. Don’t let any of it go to waste! Staff are very friendly l, helpful and very knowledgeable and have some good recommendations from the wine list. Will be going back next time I am in Melbourne.
Service somewhat haphazard. Some food did not taste freshly cooked. The bread provided was skimpy and overworked. Why not provide good-quality plain bread like a real Italian restaurant?
After the Age review our expectations were high. Service was good but food disappointing. Starter of burrata with eggplant and tomato was ok but a large piece of burrata and the accompanying sauce not particularly tasty. The deep fried brussel sprouts were the standout dish of the evening coming with pancetta and excellent flavour. Went for cacio e pepe and a pasta special of puttanesca and both were disappointing. Puttanesca didn't have much flavour and an unusual salt/fishy taste and the cacio was over peppered and lacked any subtlety. Waitress took the puttanesca off the bill but overall the package would probably not attract us back.
Having been favorably reviewed in Tuesday’s Age , the restaurant was full and I thought the staff struggled with that
Whilst our waiter was very friendly his lack of fulfilling basic duties
( lengthy wait to deliver salt, wine and water ) let the restaurant down
Food beautifully presented and excellent flavours
Wine by the glass was underwhelming and quite expensive
No de cafe 😢
The food was AMAZING! Sooo good. I can’t wait to go again. I have told about 20 people about this hidden gem
Prompt & friendly service.
We had the fried pork for entree , the meat was moist and very tasty.
The charred broccoli sitting on a bed of parsnip purée was absolutely yummy.
Excellent local authentic Italian wine & pasta bar. Loved it & will be back.
Park Street Pasta cauliflower with vincotto, muscatels and pine nut butter was incredible. Pasta mains are the house specialty and don't disappoint - my special of spaghetti with pesto was fragrant and tasty without being stodgy (a challenge with pesto).
Wine list is strong with lots of local and Italian drops.
The service is friendly and efficient although they can get a bit busy which meant I had to get the pepper grinder myself for example.
The room on the night we went was noisy and overheated. When we went in winter last year, it was so dark we could hardly read the menu. These are minor quibbles though given the extraordinary food.
The pasta at Park St has got to be up there with the best in Melbourne, you can taste how much love is put into it! The staff were lovely and friendly, extremely professional and knew their stuff! We dined on a Tuesday lunch and by 1pm the downstairs area was packed... Hurry in here! (The cappelletti with leek and hazelnut butter is a must). Not to mention the restaurant nails it from a design apsect, what a beautiful space!
Very disappointing! This was our third visit and on the previous occasions the pasta was excellent. But this time two of the three dishes were frankly substandard.
Great and simple menu, brilliant pasta, great service, but please let us have tea........I'm Italian and love coffee but not everyone likes to take coffee at night.
We had a great dinner at Park St, the pasta - delicious! Great service and ambience. We'll be back.
Definitely the best pasta in Melbourne and we eat at a lot of Italian restaurants.
Also an amazing Negroni and bomboloni to cap it off!
Terrific little local. Best to book because it’s busy. Delicious food. We had great oysters and octopus to start. My main was prawn pasta. It was the most expensive pasta on the menu, but was a very small serve like a small entree. There was no discernible prawn meat in the dish although it was tasty.
Lovely food and great staff.
We were ushered to our table with the drinks list, and then ignored. We waited between 5 and 10 minutes; not asked whether we'd like a drink, nor offered a menu.
Got up and left but no-one noticed. To be fair, the manager, Alex, did call to ask why we were no longer at the table, so I explained the above.
