Park Street Pasta & Wine
We are located at 268 Park Street on the Corner of Park & Perrins St, just down from the iconic South Melbourne Town Hall.
Our philosophy pays homage to the Italian traditions of 'fatto a mano,' OR, 'made by hand,' referring to the craftsmanship that translates through our seasonal menu.
Our kitchen is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 12 noon and 6pm respectively.
Maybe it was because we arrived with kids (foodies in the making) but the experience was underwhelming. Wonky table in the corner near the service area, minimal engagement from the front of house staff, menu not explained and specials explained as an after thought. Food thrown down on the table by kitchen delivery person. with 0 engagement and no care. Mains just OK (adults didn't have pasta), very salty sauce, fish just OK and unopened clam not picked up by the chef. A little disappointing for my husband's birthday.
Just superb food and great selection of wines with attentive and discrete service. Hopefully they won't get a lot of attention from this review and I will still find it easy to get a table
Love this place! Awesome home made pasta, great wines
The pasta was really good and quite authentic. Nice to see handmade, fresh pasta and generous size serves.
A very good neighbourhood spot with excellent food, service and wine selection. Good for romantic dinner or a small group. We has pasta dishes and both were excellent, as well as grilled asparagus and broccolini. Happy with all our choices.
Delicious pasta in a great location. I don't normally venture to this side of town and so had help from Dr Google in finding a good pasta restaurant. Park Street Pasta and Wine did not disappoint. We ate at the early sitting. Service was brisk but friendly. The pasta was fantastic and there was a good choice of wines to match. Dessert and cheese were all terrific.
The place is just fabulous relaxing and delicious food no words to describe the food. Brilliant chef 👏
Beautiful food and lovely service
We really enjoyed the authentic Italian food and glad we gave the restaurant another try as we didn’t really enjoy our first visit.
Will definitely go again and recommend to friends.
Freshly made italian pasta. great wine list. a fav of ours
Great service, great food. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.
Great, different dishes, the sides are superb too, brussel sprouts are like eating chocolate and good italian wines on menu
You can’t buy knowledge staff who care about the restaurant they work in. They have it in spades.
Best pasta in Melbourne. Delicious and local produce, with servings that are of a great amount. The staff are always incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you for creating such an inviting, and never disappointing, experience.
Never disappoints- octopus, brussel sprouts & mushroom tortellini are highlights. Not to mention the cannoli
The oysters were fine, not the best but fine. The ragu pasta was bland and had one tiny piece of meat in it. The truffle pasta didn't taste much of truffle even though i could see the bits of truffle on there. Overall pretty flavourless.
Overall the food was disappointing but the service and ambiance was great.
Very enjoyable meal, a little noisy which makes it difficult to hear wait staff explaining food. Would definitely return.
Such a lovely restaurant. Service was amazing as was the food. Will defiantly be back.
Mouth watering experience authentic Italian at its best highly recommended.
staff very helpful highly knowledgeable about food and wine friendly.
Service was fast and professional.
very relaxed romantic atmosphere tables are little to close together if your a bigger person little uncomfortable but other then that perfect amazing selection of wine 🍷
Best pasta and wines in Melbourne!
Great as a casual meal or special occasion.
Most enjoyable night. Food was mouthwatering, will definitely work my way through the menu. Professional and very friendly, accommodating service. Elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. Loved it!
Fabulous food and an amazing wine list!
Great food, very enjoyable evening.
Now having been there recommend asking for down stairs and regular seating
Upstairs if not full could feel a little isolated and the high chairs bar type seating would not suit me.
Sign of a great restaurant is when it’s busy on a Sunday night. This was no exception. Interesting, creative menu prepared expertly. Friendly, attentive service with busy bustling atmosphere. Loved it
Have been here a number of times and I always look forward to going back.
Excellent food. Starters were delicious had the cauliflower and eggplant. Everyone enjoyed their mains. Pasta excellent. Only complaint was the serving size of the special that one guest had was very small. Dessert delicious. We will be back
Wonderful experience, we felt like we were in a real Italian cafe. Can’t wait to go back soon.
Perfectly suited to a long week end lunch. Well looked after and the food really flavoursome.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner for two. The food was fresh, well-balanced, extremely tasty and satisfying. Wonderful service. We will be going back for more. Yum!!
Superb food. Service not quite as good. Unfilled water glasses, longish wait for a wine order, despite not being very busy at the time. But the food is superb, so all is forgiven!
Cute cosy corner for rustic Italian food, perfect for a mid week date night!
Have been here several times now and it has never, never let us down. It is REALLY good ingredients, put together REALLY well, with REALLY great service. Love it!
Everything here is good for a local, casual dinner with friends. No fuss and good fresh food without pretence.
Amazing pasta and pannacotta was delicious. We will be back
Fabulous a deep selection of starters, mains, wine and other drinks. Food was outstanding. Service was a bit slow but our booking was at 7 and at the height of the dinner rush. I highly recommend this place - so far my best meal in Melbourne!
Amazing pasta dish loads of flavour. Would definitely go back again.
This is the best Italian food in Melbourne and their wine selection is amazing. We’ve been to Italy and didn’t eat this well.
Luca and the team were amazing. So incredibly accommodating and what amazing food! I'll be back!!
Meal was fine. The issue here is the rather rude system for insisting on two sittings a night - so in by 6.30 and out by 8.15, with the constant feel that you are not here to enjoy yourself, you are here to get on with it. It means very few get to eat in comfort at the time they want.
This place is fairly pretentious but it does live up to its pretension - of the dozen or so red wines (and same for white), one is Australian and the rest Italian. That's fine, this is an Italian place (with many genuine Italian ingredients like the Norcia salami that was particularly good). But I would argue about the pricing of the wines. In Norcia, where we have just been you can eat in a Michelin starred place and pay not much more than bottle shop prices for your wine. This Australian habit of selling current releases for three times the bottle shop price is an unacceptable trend. And when we ask for a range of prices on the wine-list, we mean not just $65 (or whatever it was) to a couple of hundred. We mean $25 and up. Having said all that the service was good and the food excellent.
Why we have to have the speakers thump thumping in the background I have no idea. It adds nothing in my view, to the ambience. No doubt others love it.
