We love Pamplona! We have gone there for brunch the last 4 Sundays and Pamplona never disappoints! We love the Serrano benedict, the chicken & waffles and, of course, the mimosas. Not only is the food terrific but so is the service. Sarah has been our server for the last 4 weeks and she is wonderful. Thank you, Pamplona and Sarah, we will be back!
Great food and service, and a great time hanging out with friends!
Nice ambiance, excellent customer service. The food was ready pretty quickly and very tasty.
In this new era of eating out, there was apprehension at the outset. We were one of two tables outside, so there was no concern with social distancing. The food was decent, but not overwhelmingly fabulous. One notable exception was the churro sundae, which was amazing. The sangria was also very tasty. We had to ask her waitress to remake a drink because it was served without gloves. I think that’s mostly restaurants just trying to get used to gloves and masks.
This was my first experience back inside Pamplona since reopening from the pandemic. It was safely social distanced, extremely clean, and the staff was highly conscientious about how to balance good service AND limited contact. My guest and I were never waiting. I was so happy to find the food was just as amazing as before & somehow the drinks feel stronger! Ha!
Wonderful dinner! We were celebrating a special occasion and one of the managers arranged for me and my friends to get a free round of celebratory champagne! It was so nice and thoughtful!
Service was good. Food wasn’t the greatest but I have high standards so that’s probably it. What really annoyed me was having drinks served in plastic cups, that’s just not ok for a restaurant when I’m sitting inside.
thank your for your review, we switched to plastic as we felt it was safer then glass during these times. Thank you for your feedback and we will go over with our team when we feel that it's best to switch to glassware that is normally used pre pandemic.
We had a great experience. Seafood paella and sangria flight was wonderful. The music was fun and the service was attentive. They also have a patio.
Had a great brunch experience. Socially distanced stables felt safe and the restaurant has hand sanitizers everywhere. Staff also followed strict rules.
This spot is such a good deal for bottomless brunch. The mimosas could be a bit stronger, but could'nt they always! Food comes out quickly and they bus the tables quickly, which i appreciate.
A little freaked out about all the people...but had fun!😷🍷
You pay a lot for very little food/drink
Sat outside. Service, food and atmosphere were all perfect!
Well done Pamplona! Great food and drink selections, comfortable surroundings and VERY CLEAN. Thank you!
Phase 1 pandemic
We went for our anniversary dinner! The $35 all you can eat small plates was a fantastic deal, and going on a Tuesday we received half price wine as well. And the server very sweetly brought us out celebratory Prosecco!!
Fantastic brunch. Highly recommend the hash. Sooo good!
$37.95 bottomless mimosas and tapas were amazing
Had a great time at our first dinner out in the re-opening. We were very impressed by the care and consideration Pamplona and their staff put into it. Everything felt extremely clean, properly spaced out, carefully handled. We'll absolutely be back!!
First experience with pandemic patio dining was really good. They have the tables well spaced and they have a full 30 minutes between seatings to fully sanitize the entire patio. Food and service were both excellent. Highly recommend Pamplona with their patio seating option! If you go for bottomless brunch, don’t miss the chorizo hash.
First night out after outdoor eating in restaurants open in northern Virginia.
Honestly the worst sangria I’ve ever had. Hard to enjoy the food when you’re so disappointed by the drinks. Food was just good, not great, especially if you’re familiar with great tapas.
I will say that I have been to Pamplona every Sunday in Feb and first two Sundays in March for Brunch celebrating Birthdays! I love to suggest Pamplona and it never disappoints. On Saturday March.14, 2020 we went there for brunch for my nieces 26 birthday a party of six including my mom that traveled from nyc to attend. Reservations 1pm, we Gad trouble finding omg parking so we arrived 1:10pm knowing we have a 15 min grace period. The hostess was very rude and short with me when I arrived I said I know we are ten min late for our 1pm reservation the hostess replied your table has been given away!!! Oh ok please give us another table as you are suppose to honor the 15 min grace period! You give the table away at 1:15pm not before that!!! She said I don’t have another table and you are gonna have to wait!! Very abruptly no eye contact just very rude. I suggested maybe you can set us up at the bar! She just said sure and pointed over like yes go ahead not knowing that there was a st pattys day party that had reserved the bar!! So we are just standing around wondering what to do when the bartender came over I believe her name was Alexandria and asked us if we had been helped. I explained we Had 1pm reservation arrived 1:10pm and the hostess said to late your table is given to another group! She kindly stepped away and spoke to the hostess I don’t know what was said but the hostess approached us with the rudest face someone can have slammed the menus on the table and said we can sit in booth by the bar!!! I have worked customer service for 25 years and if I behaved like she did I would be written up!! Or fired!! The bartender came over and cheered us up with some birthday shots and then our waitress Miriam greeted us and was so nice that we forgot the entire hostess drama!
People have to appreciate their jobs and do them well these days! Do the best you can and don’t let your emotions take over!
Excellent service. Our server Ever was very attentive, friendly and professional. Also a good wine list. Some dishes impressive. The rice and cheese balls unfortunately were bland and the hummus and fried calamari boring....but the kale salad, beet salad, brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower and duck and vegetable paella excellent! The grilled cheese with truffle honey to die for... who needs dessert, unless it’s the chocolate bread pudding. Would recommend as a fun night out with friends for tapas and drinks!
The cocktails were innovative and balanced while the food was fun and refreshing. Service was attentive as well. Located right in Clarendon but semi hidden. We didn’t realize they had been open for three years. A great neighborhood find.
We did the taste of Spain. So we were able to try a lot of the tapas on the menu. Everything was delicious.
We went there for brunch on a Saturday. The service was poor. The food was poor. The ambiance was poor. We had a high table in the bar area near the door. When someone entered, the wind would whip the heavy curtain behind me against me, the table, and the food on the table. Upon leaving I reported this problem to the person at the door and got the distinct impression she did not care. When we ordered several plates at first, the waitress kept forgetting what we ordered and asked us to repeat our orders instead of writing it down. At the outset we ordered pan con tomate which did not arrive until we were ready to leave and then only after reminding three different wait persons of the order. It was prepared with a flimsy bread, barely toasted, and the tomato mixture was cold. The side of bacon consisted of two very thin strips. The migas was unpalatable with a very strong lamb taste.
Excellent time I brought my parents there for brunch and the food was outstanding I highly recommend!
Great food and drink! Caitlin was awesome as our server! We will be back!
The service was awful. Half of what we ordered we had to order twice because he never put it in, then half of that still never came out! He was so slow and inattentive.
The food was great and so was the service. I love the taste of Spain option. Great way to try all small plates.
Awesome, ask for Alex, she’s super
Clarendon needed some better food options and not just bars happy to see this place doing well
Food wasn't that great. And people kept screaming at the bar. Made it to difficult to have a conversation
The taste of Spain is a outstanding deal. Will be back !
Been here about half a dozen times, every time it's amazing. I went last Sunday with two other people and we weren't served food for a complete hour. Yet, we were able to finish two pitchers of mimosas (yikes). We called over a manager, as we saw our server with a 20+ person party, a 12 person party, and then our party of three. The manager apologized and we assured him it wasn't our server's fault. We told him we come here often and love it here, but totally understand that some days are busier than others. Our meal was completely comped and we tipped our server greatly. Great food, drinks, customer service and atmosphere!
The food was amazing. Favorite dessert was breading pudding. There were number of menu items I enjoyed: arugula salad, steak and eggs, grilled cheese, chorizo hash and waffle to name a few. Only bad thing, they didn't keep the bottomless mimosa filled. We had to ask several times for two pitchers to be filled with a table of 10.
The service was excellent but the food was not very good.
Sweet little spot and great for tapas. We have the pork belly. Cooked perfectly.
Not a lot of brunch options but the food was great
