Great new spring menu the tuna and octopus were great. Half price wine night with a good wine list is always appreciated. Large patio for outdoor seating will be back
Ordered the all you can eat option. They only brought out half the food. Waiter was annoyed if you ordered more. When food arrived, they only brought enough for 2 bites. There were 4 people in our party. It was my mom’s birthday. Terrible experience.
Woman bathroom does not have baby changing. It is not family friendly or?
Was a Great experience with my family on Mothers day. I will diffenitly recommend this place to my friends!!!
Food was good. Service was okay. It was mother day. So I understand. Place was small not to big. Food was decent would go again. But not a must have go.
Fun times with friends! Loved the small plates and sharing!
The poor service experience began from the minute we walked through the door. Upon inquiring if we could get a seat on the patio, the host (who we later found out to be the GM) informed us there was a 40 minute wait for those tables, despite us directly seeing multiple tables unused. Alas, after accepting the fact we'd need to dine inside, we inquired if we could get a table along one of the walls -- a bit away from the more crowded, center of the restaurant where he was seeking to seat us. The host/GM again informed us that a special reservation needed to be made for one of those tables and we should have done so through the OpenTable app when booking the reservation. However, no option was ever available to do this -- and we even verified this fact immediately by opening up the app to doublecheck. Seeing as we'd get nowhere fast with the host/GM we sat down at our assigned table.
From there, nearly 10 minutes passed before a server even came over to greet us. Thereafter to our surprise, the server, apparently ignoring the customary protocol of taking a drink order first, asked for both our drink and food orders at the same time. (We successfully resisted this -- seeking to extend our dinner beyond a 15 minute stay!) From that point forward the service could at best be described as mildly attentive.
In terms of the food, it was firmly mediocre and something I could have easily prepared on my own. Portion sizes also WAY smaller than our last visit to the restaurant. For example, paying $8 for 3 pieces of asparagus doesn't really scream value.
Our departure from the restaurant was more of the same. Upon paying the bill, we learned the credit card machine was down and our card number had been hastily scribbled on a paper ticket to be processed later. (Not wanting to leave this sitting unattended on the table, I walked this over to hand to a bartender.) And, as we walked out we saw those same patio tables, which we were denied earlier, sitting completely empty.
Surprisingly busy for a Monday, we had a quick bite in the dining room. Service was quick and Chad and Ed were great, we ended up ordering a small squid ink paella and it was fantastic.
I wasn’t impress with the paella. This was the meal I was looking forward to. The small plates were not too bad. Sangria was pretty good too. But we had fun and our server, Eber, was great ☺️
Just tried their new spring menu and it didn't disappoint. Instead of going to the traditional tapas route we opted to order some small plates to start and one large main dish to split. We started with the seared tuna and calamari both were excellent. We then ordered the tomahawk steak and this was BETTER than any steakhouse downtown it was finished with truffle butter ordered with asparagus and mac and cheese and to complete our meal. We will be back!
We were lucky to get our favorite booth by the bar, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We opted for large plates instead of the tapas and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Cant wait to go back for half price wine night on Tuesdays they seem to have a great selection
I did let the desk staff know this before we left - our server was disinterested in providing attention to our table. The runners were great, but even before the restaurant started to fill up our waiter would disappear from sight for long stretches. Sunday’s bottomless brunch does require a different level of attention than a la carte: he didn’t seem to have mastered that difference. Nor did he once ask whether we were enjoying our meal - the runners did.
We went for Brunch with friend visiting from NYC and everyone really enjoyed Pamploma. The service was great and the food came out quickly. There was a great selection of food options and the Chorizo Hash was amazing.
Great food and great options. Service was excellent
First let me say I love the DECOR its beautiful inside. We did the taste of Spain for the unlimited small plates it was great. Service was friendly and prompt
I frequent Pamplona a lot and the service and food are always amazing and delicious! I turn so many friends on to this restaurant and they are hooked! 😊😊
Good experience overall very similar to other tapas style unlimited brunches in the area. Service was curteous but nothing special. The best dish was the bread pudding .
Our favorite thing about Pamplona was the sangria sampler and the unlimited tapas! We loved all (but one) dish. The toffee cake dessert was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Definitely going back soon!
I have had several great meals here from the service to the drinks just a great local spot. A must try in Clarendon.
The food is always incredible! The service was okay, it’s tapas style so it’s understood they come out at varying time- but the waiter forgot two dishes completely. It is a bit pricey for some of the portion sizes (they have definitely scaled down on size in the past year) but some of the small plates are great for price- salads, Brussels, potatoes. The pulpo was excellent as was the salads and croquettes. Overall enjoy Pamplona’s food and atmosphere but could have been better service this time!
Excellent options on the small plate menu and was pleasantly surprised with the seasonal sangria. It was a nice evening so we got to enjoy the large patio. Will def be coming back to try the large plates!
I love Pamplona. I have been there multiple times and never had an issue. However, this weekend I wasn’t as lucky. We got there around noon and order some tapas soon after, however, we got the food that we ordered only an hour after. Same was for the second order. So for 2 hours is being there, we almost didn’t eat anything. The server was great, but kitchen was definitely didn’t work right that day. Disappointed!
Among the tapas dishes, there was no steak. I’ve never seen that in the several tapas places I’ve patronized, and it was a real disappointment. (There was a steak entree option.) They also were “out” of red sangria, which is unacceptable for a tapas place. Other than those moderately important shortcomings, though, the food and service were good.
Excellent food and service I try to dine here as often as Possible because there food is excellent drinks are strong and service is always perfect. I highly recommend!
Loved doing the ‘Taste of Spain’ and trying almost every small plate they had to offer. Our waiter was great! Especially loved the salmon, ceviche, Brussels sprouts and albondigas!
What a great find, saw the special on Open Table for half price wine night on Tuesdays. It was a great deal, the food came out prompt and the service was friendly
Amazing experience; cheese croquet's are a must try
Food was great. We ate at the bar so we could watch the NCAA basketball tournament. The bartender was awesome.
Great service. Decent food. great drinks! The noise is a bit much.
service was top notch for a casual Clarendon restaurant. the food was great as well and the menu had enough items to please everyone at the table. I will definitely be coming back.
Stopped by this neighborhood gem, on a weekday. We tried the lamb chops they were cooked percetly and my wife had the scallops and she said they were the best she has ever had. The sangria was great as well and the staff was friendly.
Great dinner with family of five adults. Wait staff was attentive and patient with our orders. We got our orders quickly. Will definitely come back!
the food was great, i noticed they had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit cold out. the sangria is on tap here which is unique, overall good food and good drink
Food was delicious and the service was fantastic!!!
Highly recommend this place.
Disappointing brunch with terrible service. Our server, Gabby, was terrible and seemed totally spaced out. I asked for recommendations and she struggled to provide any. I asked for coffee no fewer than four times. Eventually after already eating most of the food, another server brought it. The food was mediocre (potatoes were okay along with Spanish omelette). The dishes cane out very quickly, which I appreciated. The server, however, killed the experience.
Great time with my family! Service was accommodating as always. I love their duck paella and we tried the lobster paella for the first time. Definitely recommend the bourbon maracuya!
Arrived at happy hour, so most of the crowd was outside. We sat inside. Took far too long for anyone to notice us. Finally waiter arrived with no apology for the wait. This started things off on the wrong foot. Food was very good, especially loved the Spanish Tortilla and the Brussells Sprouts. Cost a bit off: asparagus appetizer (about $7) was literally THREE asparagus spears on a plate - ridiculous. Drinks okay, but sangria by the glass was small pour for the price. Vibe was more happy hour, even inside without the crowds. Wouldn't go again since we are Gen-Xers and prefer a quieter place with a lower-key atmosphere.
It was amazing ambiance and owner is very nice.
Monday is burger night which was a steal, the staff was attentive and professional food was great on a quiet Monday night. Great neighborhood spot.
I had another fantastic experience at Pamplona. The food was impeccable, the paella was sumptious and the red sangria was refreshing yet very well prepared and I felt almost sadness having to finish it. The experience was capped off by our server, Dia, who knew the best foods to recommend for dinner as well as took the time to walk through the menu. I can say for certain I will be returning to Pamplona and hope they continue to deliver on food, drinks, value and impeccable service.
The music at the end of the night was a bit loud for my taste but I understand fully there's a nightlife component at the tailend of the dinner hours. All the same, fantastic time.
