Disappointing brunch with terrible service. Our server, Gabby, was terrible and seemed totally spaced out. I asked for recommendations and she struggled to provide any. I asked for coffee no fewer than four times. Eventually after already eating most of the food, another server brought it. The food was mediocre (potatoes were okay along with Spanish omelette). The dishes cane out very quickly, which I appreciated. The server, however, killed the experience.
Great time with my family! Service was accommodating as always. I love their duck paella and we tried the lobster paella for the first time. Definitely recommend the bourbon maracuya!
Arrived at happy hour, so most of the crowd was outside. We sat inside. Took far too long for anyone to notice us. Finally waiter arrived with no apology for the wait. This started things off on the wrong foot. Food was very good, especially loved the Spanish Tortilla and the Brussells Sprouts. Cost a bit off: asparagus appetizer (about $7) was literally THREE asparagus spears on a plate - ridiculous. Drinks okay, but sangria by the glass was small pour for the price. Vibe was more happy hour, even inside without the crowds. Wouldn't go again since we are Gen-Xers and prefer a quieter place with a lower-key atmosphere.
It was amazing ambiance and owner is very nice.
Monday is burger night which was a steal, the staff was attentive and professional food was great on a quiet Monday night. Great neighborhood spot.
I had another fantastic experience at Pamplona. The food was impeccable, the paella was sumptious and the red sangria was refreshing yet very well prepared and I felt almost sadness having to finish it. The experience was capped off by our server, Dia, who knew the best foods to recommend for dinner as well as took the time to walk through the menu. I can say for certain I will be returning to Pamplona and hope they continue to deliver on food, drinks, value and impeccable service.
The music at the end of the night was a bit loud for my taste but I understand fully there's a nightlife component at the tailend of the dinner hours. All the same, fantastic time.
Fun place, good food! Service was good - knowledgeable server who checked on things she didn't know.
Small plates were scrumptious! The all-you-can-eat special, despite the negative connotation, was definitely worth the price and allowed us sample a little of everything, without overdoing it. The table service was great once we got past the less-than- accommodating host.
While our waiter, Collin, was a delight and very helpful with navigating the menu, the food at Pamplona is underwhelming. Many dishes were covered in the same aioli, which showed a lack of creativity, and it all had a slightly burnt taste. Honestly, I’ve never come across a calamari dish I didn’t like, and theirs was dry and close to inedible. Based on what they were serving, $35 a person seemed steep to me; my friends and I won’t be back to Pamplona.
Great place for brunch!
Love the food!
I have dined here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The bartender was really knowledgeable and did a great job explaining all of the food and drinks.
I really enjoyed my fresh tasting and flavorful food. I loved the rose sangria too. My only complaint is the lack of iced tea. What is the deal with that? This restaurant has an excellent chef and great table service. Very big menu with delightful choices!
Wonderful find in Clarendon! Delicious food and sangria. Looking forward to returning with friends!
had another great meal here, service was great place was packed, highly recommend a reservation. they had a special running and it was outstanding
Had a great meal at Pamplona! The prix-fixe Valentine's Day menu was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try the $35 all-you-can-eat bottomless brunch.
Excellent food - but definitely would've like to have tried your normal menu instead of the Valentine's Prix Fixe.
We went for Valentines Day and were disappointed that they didn’t have the regular menu available. I wanted to take my husband out for paella, but we ended up with a filet mignon and squash ravioli. They were fine but not great. It was almost empty too, but we went early. The staff was nice and attentive.
This is our go to neighborhood restaurant. It was busy in there for a Tuesday (half price wine night) we always go with the Taste of Spain which is $35 all you can eat small plates. Service was great and food was as well.
This was the first experience in the many times that we have dined at Pamplona that our waitress came to our table and told us that in 45 minutes someone had our table...and we had just ordered more food and wine. I realize that Saturday night is busy, however we were ordering many plates of food and were not just sitting idly by chatting and taking up a table. Needless to say, I am NOT impressed with the waitstaff
Great spot, amazing food and stellar service! I wish I remembered my waiters name (had him 3 times now..I should know 🤦🏽♂️☺️). I’ll definitely be back many more times. The bottomless brunch is fantastic!!!
Server was slow and seemed frustrated. We were on the last slip our mimosas and he came over to rush out of the table yet after not seeing for 40 minutes i had to get up and go find him to ask for a refill on mimosas. The chicken and waffles was served raw but our server never asked if something was wrong just took the whole plate away.
Great food, good ambience, and excellent service! Highly recommend.
We tried both paella and tapas, and all the dishes were excellent, and staff generally friendly. The negative was when the table right next to us was rudely asked to move to the bar because they had exceeded 2 hours at the table - it was handled very poorly and made for an uncomfortable end to the evening.
The food was great, service friendly and quick. The noise level is awful....we had to scream at eachother.
And on a very cold night, the temperature was on the cool, not cozy side
The chicken and waffle was delicious but my salad was a tiny less than handful. For five bucks. At sweetgreen i could get a bucket of lettuce for that price.
Great service and above average food. There is a bar on both sides of the restaurant area so it is pretty loud
Good Sunday brunch with a nice variety of dishes, definitely busy and vibrant, reasonable prices, too.
The food was ok but pricey for average tasting tapas. Cocktails tasted watered down and with non-quality ingredients, so way overpriced. I did have a brute rosé that was excellent but they just had to pour that out of the bottle... service was quick and friendly though. Overall, I wouldn’t go back due to high prices for meh food and cocktails.
We celebrated my husbands Birthday with the family and had the Taste of Spain option. unlimited tapas for $35. We thought the food was on the whole excellent with some outstanding dishes. Our kids loved the experience. The staff was great and kept the food coming. We thought the food better than Jaleo although some might like more meat dishes on the menu. Would go again and will recommend to friends.
Demi (spelling is wrong) the server was amazing!
Went to Pamplona to celebrate an anniversary with my fiancé. Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Hostess sat us in a great booth, our server (Chad) was super friendly (very inportant) and we were impressed as he was very knowledgeable about Spanish wine/cuisine. He led us to the tasting menu and we tried almost all the small plates. They even sent out a little sparkling wine toast which wasn't necessary but appreciated. We'll be back to try the brunch! The tapas were on par with other Spanish restaurants in the DC area - but the staff really makes this place shine.
Very good option for Sundy night girlola night!
My family and I frequent Pamplona 1-2 times a month. We really enjoy their brunch and their yummy sangria! This past experience wasn’t great, I had to constantly remind our server which plates we were waiting on, as well as a simple drink order. Hopefully this was an isolated event and maybe the server was inexperienced.
Birthday Brunch with 10 guests. Great service, food, and drinks. Everyone agreed, well worth doing the "All You Can Eat" Brunch.
Everything was really good but the Pasta could be better. I appreciate the Manager checking in with us about our feedback and actually not charging us for is.
Amazing tapas especially for vegetarians that is why my husband and I returned with friends. The red sangria is so good, unfortunately they were out of it the second time I was there. Hopefully next time! :)
The food is excellent, but the portions are very small. Go with the all you can eat option.
Mediocre all around. Food was quite tasteless. The prices were quite high. The wines were the only bright spot in an otherwise run-of-the mill Clarendon establishment geared to serve millennials. Not returning
Celebrated a bday dinner here with friends, tried the cioppino and it was great. Great service and a hidden gem in the heart of Clarendon. The metro is about a block away which is convenient.
