   Went this this hotel for mothers. Didn't have our table ready. The sevice was horriblehad to walk around and look for peoole. Had to ask to have the table cleared. The food was nice. We wouldnt recommend this place for mothers day..

   Having dined at the Palmwoods Hotel on many occasions and generally enjoyed the food, we were unfortunately disappointed with our meals on Saturday. We ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, which came with an additional $6 charge. However, the portion of chicken was very underwhelming—just two small slices of chicken breast placed on top of the salad. When a staff member checked in and asked if everything was okay, I mentioned the lack of chicken. While they acknowledged the feedback, nothing further came of it, which was disappointing. We also ordered the seared duck breast, which sounded fantastic on the menu: “tender duck breast, lightly grilled and sliced, served over a spiced pumpkin mash with blistered cherry tomatoes, snow peas, and caramelized pearl onions, finished with a rich blackberry reduction.” While the duck itself was beautifully cooked and full of flavour, the rest of the dish was a letdown. The vegetables were overcooked and unrecognisable—it was difficult to tell the blistered tomatoes from the caramelized onions—and there were definitely no snow peas on the plate. The pumpkin mash was also overdone. It wasn't until I re-read the menu description later that I realised how much of the advertised dish was missing or poorly executed. We've always enjoyed our meals here in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Hopefully, this was just an off night in the kitchen.

   Love My Local. Always feel happy and welcome. The Autumn menu has some tasty additions as well as the weekly specials! Many thanks to the staff who make it special, they know who they are!!👍🥳🤗

   There were 10 people in our group, all with different tastes including vegan. Everyone loved their meal and the portions were very generous.

   There was a crowd and I expected a reasonable wait time for our pizza's however the promptly arrived cooked to perfection and they tasted great. I certainly recommend the Palmwoods Hotel. Cheers to all.

   After being seated and getting drinks from the bar we were waiting at least 15 minutes for menus and cutlery. I then had to get menus myself. Service was non existent. It was not busy by any standard, just seemed to be nobody around to serve. Our meals were terrible, 6 mains and not 1 meal finished. Steaks were all either undercooked or overcooked. $400 for a family celebration and I doubt we will return the experience was so bad.
