Loved it.......so welcoming and tasty food. Would really recommend it .
My fav place to go for a romantic treat or a classy high tea experience with the girls
Food was absolutely delicious and worth the price. The staff were tentative and the dry ice + birthday plate was a nice touch for our birthday celebration. Thank you!
The food was good, loved the dessert bar. Service was poor, took too long to have tea order taken then an even longer time for food & tea to arrive. I also disliked the waitress outlining the high tea options based on price - asking us which price point we wanted , not which the name - very tacky and could be done in a far more polished way. Not up to the standard I expect at The Langham. We are regulars to their High Tea’s - always go to the special Easter & Christmas ones, this was a bit disappointing. Also don’t think the seating area is as nice & welcoming as it used to be. It’s now very much like any other restaurant- not special which is a real shame.
Lovely afternoon. Food was tasty and fresh. Very happy.
We had to pass the cereal on our way in, brought the ambience down a lot!
The food was very basic, flavors not balanced well, stale bread. Very large group has just finished as we arrived, all tables had food and scrapes everywhere. The floor was filthy. Beautiful building and on a good day it may have been a better experience. Better value for money elsewhere would recommend trying somewhere else.
Lovely looking hotel but unfortunately not great food - stale bread for sandwiches, lacked flavour in the savouries and disappointing sweets. Scones were ok but never seen them cooked in a muffin tin before! On the plus side lovely champagne but with four of us eating it would have worked out cheaper to have no alcoholic drink with our tea and paid for a bottle separately. Paying $30 more than the average high tea in Sydney I'm sorry to say it wasn't worth it.
Having visited The Langham before for high tea, this time we were disappointed. We hated having to go up to get our desserts from the same bar as the lunch buffet people. Too many kids digging into the food, was off putting. We would prefer to just have the tradition high tea stand on the table.
THe Langham is a lovely hotel, always calm and classic. Found that the high tea while pleasant was not outstanding, and in fact some of the food items felt a little ‘tired’. There were a couple of outstanding items - the macaron (raspberry) was delicious, and the small quiche tasty. Did not try the scones, they were large and looked more like muffins than delicate English scones. It is Christmas time and so the piped music was more of the usual suspects we are all subject to at this time of the year! Service was good and attentive, although we were a little surprised to be told that we were ‘allowed to have one tea and one coffee’ as part of the package we had chosen...seemed a little churlish for the $70 price tag.
We started our Honeymoon with High Tea at the Langham Sydney and it was amazing! The food the service and the overall experience was great! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Some of the savoury food was cold despite eating it first. And the scones were a tad dry other than that it was an amazing experience and the Iced teas were amazing! The noise was loud from lunch but by 4 it was fine
Very disappointing, not 5 star venue. Cleaning cart in middle of room, carpet vacuumed as we sat at table, incredibly poor! Would not return,.
service was a great experience, we enjoyed the food and tea! was a great way to celebrate our friends 21st birthday
Second time there- had changed but enjoyed dessert buffet where you picked what you wanted. High standard of food and service. My guest enjoyed herself. Lovely afternoon there.
The service was amazing the F&B attendants did a fantastic job. However, the food was a terribly disappointment. The bread was stale and all the desserts did not taste fresh. Taste as though it was prepared days before serving. The only good food was the crepe bar. If the service wasn’t as good as it was I wouldn’t have left as happy as I did. Disappointed considering how nice I heard the high tea was. At the very least the restaurant is very aesthetic.
Delightful atmosphere to celebrate a special birthday. Exceptional service and delicious food - extensive selection of beautifully presented items on High Tea stand and Dessert Buffett. Easy to chat and hear each other as no noise - so perfect place to meet family and friends.
We had a great experience at the Langham High Tea, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a relaxed and luxurious afternoon setting in the heart of Sydney. Pros include the excellent customer service and attention to detail, beautiful decor, broad variety of food available, and the attentiveness of the Langham staff. Cons include a minor mishap regarding a food allergy however this was rectified with an additional glass of sparkling wine per person free of charge, and the strict time slot for arrival and departure when considering the price per head for the high tea. We felt slightly rushed towards the end and were asked to leave with a 20 minute notice. The scones and macaroons were absolutely delicious and of an extremely high quality. All other food options were of good to high quality. Unfortunately the white bread used for the cut sandwiches was slightly stale however it didn’t negatively impact our experience. All things considered, I would encourage others to book a high tea at the Langham and I hope to visit again soon.
Exceptional food. Attentive service. Good price. Excellent alternative offered if unable to eat seafood.
Good service. The high tea catering space is shared with the hotel's buffet lunch, so if you go before 3pm you get to enjoy the delicious joint dessert buffet. However because of this, the area becomes a little busy - not as relaxing for a high tea. Savoury options are average as well.
Amazing experience and one that really signified such a special occasion. The care of the staff, particularly I believe her name was Mina and the Chef/Management was exceptional. My niece has severe and life threatening allergies and I'm very grateful not only for their care, but making her feel so included and special.
A very nice afternoon tea. Could choose both hot Tea and Iced Tea. The scones, sandwiches and sweets were Delicious. A little to noisy, would prefer a cozier environment for afternoon Tea.
I was very disappointed ☹️ I have been going for high tea there over the last couple of years and you have changed everything this time it felt very bland and catered for tourist. Your room was so underwhelming do not know why you changed the decor or the way you do High Tea but I and I will tell my friends not to come there anymore
Enjoyed every aspect of afternoon tea! Tables a little too close together so had to giggle at young ones next to us taking a shot of every mouthful to post onto their insta and snap feeds.
Would definitely recommend!
This is 1st time I took my mum to the high tea. Searching on the net, The Langham was recommended as 1 one the best high tea in Sydney. I trust and give it a go.
Firstly, the high tea is not great as what I expected as well the money I paid for it. $80/ person ( minimum option) so 2 person cost $160. Honestly, I do not mind about money but expect the quality of the food did not satisfy me and mum at all. It is not worth it to pay that much to get this high tea. The view is not beautiful if comparing with Park Hyatt. I can not believe it the food we had was from 5 star hotel.. scone is so hard. I love scone so much and try scone everywhere but so far Park Hyatt has scone much much better
I will definitely not recommend The Langham for high tea for anyone. You will waist your time and money
Slow service and didn't think it was value for money. 20 minutes to wait for a pot of tea was unacceptable considering its afternoon tea!
My friend and I enjoyed our High Tea to celebrate my friend’s upcoming wedding. She thoroughly enjoyed the special catch-up in a special place.
The service was warm and friendly. The team who looked after us were very attentive and attended to all of our requests very quickly and always with a smile on their face. We felt very well looked after :)
It was to be a special event for my grandson and I to go to as we were on a trip to Sydney together and he had never had a high tea before. Unfortunately it felt anything but special. The table was quite wobbly and would have looked so much better with a nice tablecloth on it, maybe one to match the crockery would have been nice. The service was nothing to get excited about. The tea came out at least 10 to 15 minutes before the food, which we had to drink as it was getting cold, which meant we then had nothing to have with the food when it arrived. It would have been better to have it all served together. We then had no sugar so then had to wait to catch a waitresses eye to ask for the sugar.
The food was nice though and the scones really delicious.
All in all, for cost of $115.00 it was very disappointing. I don't mind spending that money if you are getting something really special but we certainly did not. I would not recommend the Langham high tea to anyone.
I really love my experience at The Langham Sydney that’s why I keep returning. I have come to enjoy my spa treatments so much that I book an afternoon tea afterwards. The staff are attentive from the spa through to the observatory bar, I highly recommend!
I really loved the afternoon tea in the observatory bar. The food was lovely although personally I would have preferred a few more savoury bites as the whole thing was very 'sweet'. My personal preference is for more savoury bites but everything was fresh and tasty and perfectly presented.
The scones were more of a muffin and a little tough instead of being rustic and crumbly, and the champagne was $$ at $20 per glass but hey, it was worth the splurge.
Would go again.
Birthday Ruined!! It was my birthday and we had booked a high tea at 3pm. I had organized for my mother in law to join us. She had driven for over an hour to be there with us. When we turned up to the restaurant all excited they had apologized and said they had overbooked. And that they had set the 5 of us up in a tiny table in the bar. I asked to sit in the main dining room but they just said sorry we have overbooked you. I even confirmed the booking the day prior. They ruined my birthday and really didn't care. My kids and husband were all upset. The manager offered a free high tea for all of us and took my number but i have not received a phone call or a formal apology . Very disappointed. I do not recommend this high tea. Further as it was 3pm i had no booking elsewhere and simply returned home. They ruined my day. This is not 5 star service. I have never been treated so poorly.
Perfection! My second time having high tea at The Langham did not disappoint. I cannot wait to go again and will recommend others do too. Only problem was difficulty understanding the server who brought our high tea, we didn’t know what we were eating but it didn’t matter, it was pretty to look at and gorgeous to taste.
Service was great, staff very helpful, explaining the menu.
Great service and high tea experience, there was plenty of yummy food. The Langham hotel offers a great leaders day out
We had the afternoon tea was terrific. A loud group of people walked in and we complained to the manager and he handled the situation with them very well. Many thanks. Lovely place will return
Beautiful high tea, phenomenal service. Even though we were early, they were set up and ready for us and happy to meet our dietary requirements. Would go again.
Classical setting for high tea. Impeccable and friendly service. Playful sweet treats based around mid winter Christmas on the top plate (e.g. pistachio maccaron Christmas trees, raspberry and coconut Santa hats). Traditional and contemporary savouries. Excellent scones to round off the three plates. Don’t be tempted by the alcoholic, stick to the lovely range of teas. G&T later!
great service, lovely atmosphere. highly recommend
I love the staff so much.. Only because of wonderful service and good ambience I would highly recommend the langham. Thank you so much for making my day and mums a memorable evening.
