Pacifico - New Haven, CT
Great Restaurant- looking forward to going back soon.
Sat at a high top in the bar area with friends. Had some wonderful tapas and conversation. All staff was really nice. We will be back!
I was really looking forward to dinner here for New Year’s Eve. The decor and ambiance is really good, and I felt at ease upon entering. Unfortunately, the food could be better. It is very hit and miss, and the flavor for much of the dishes we ordered was lacking. A bit overpriced for what you are getting in terms of portions and quality. We waited over 20 minutes for our dessert, and sort of wished we had left instead. Our server was very nice and my margarita was very good - definitely the high point of our experience (along with the chili dipping sauce.) Ultimately, the food needs more flavor and character to be memorable. The vegetable risotto was absolutely without flavor, unfortunately. I wish I could say I will return, but honestly can’t see myself doing so. A good place for getting drinks, though.
Been there before.. was disappointed that with a reservation, we were in what we called "the island of misfit tables" - an area where there really should not be tables.. where two tables were placed near bathroom in the middle of couches.
The food was alright. My salmon was delicious. The vegetable risotta was flavorless. Kale Salad was very good. It was new Years eve, so they had a paired down menu that wasnt that imaginative. I think it would be good non-holiday.. but Open Table did ask for my opinion.
Great place, good food, friendly staff. Took us quickly.
Really cool vibe, great food. We had some tapas, garlic shrimp were outstanding. Next time we will try paella. The bartender made us a special mojito, which was perfect. Great staff, wonderful food.
Pacifico never disappoints. We were seated, as requested, on the first floor. The service was attentive from the moment we entered. The menu and specials were appealing to every palate and preference.
Portions are generous without being overwhelming. We shared a delightful evening with friends, enhanced by the setting and the staff.
The service was fantastically
Not a great night. Food was alright. Not a special night in any way though.
Pacifico was definitely an amazing dining experience. The food is amazing and the service was very attentive. They have a great selection of dishes, drinks, and desserts. The music pairs well with the environment. I will definitely be visiting this place again! This a great spot for a date or special occasion!
Fabulous as always! Delicious tapas and yummy sangrias!
Very welcoming atmosphere. Reasonable pricing. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff. I would definitely go back again. There is an upstairs as well as main level, so lots of seating.
I am here at New Haven for a Medicine Physicians conference and I had the opportunity to visit this amazing place. Excellent food and service. The staff was friendly and did a wonderful job. Walter the manager, did an excellent job and he was very nice. I absolutely recommend this place.
Great food! Awesome staff! Beautiful restaurant! Definitely a place I enjoy coming to.
Loved this place the staff were kind and professional. Only bad thing was that the upstairs wad cold. Other than that the food was great.
Great atmosphere. You can sit inside, at the bar or second floor. Very calm and lay back location. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
Dear god this food was delicious. Beautiful place in a casual setting with absolutely amazing food. The shrimp pineapple mango ceviche was so incredibly good. Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks were amazing and service excellent. We definitely plan on going back!
Super friendly staff! Delicious cocktails. Food came quickly despite the place being jam packed.
Good casual spot
Food is excellent but unfortunately the service was very poor. We had a reservation yet waited 30 minutes for our table. Waited a long time for drinks and for our order to be taken. Waited forever for the food to arrive. It was a busy Saturday night however we had a similar experience the last time we were there. It’s too bad because the food is great but due to the poor service, we will not return.
Been here a couple of times. The place is lively but not so noisy you can't carry on a conversation. The food is absolutely excellent.
We had delicious food and were able to try several items. The portions were smaller because some of the items are tapa style. Overall a lovely dinner with amazing food.
This place is a gem. Amazing food and unique setting. Drinks are also great. Half price bottles of wine on Mondays!
The food is excellent!! Doesn't seem to matter what dish you order because I've tried several and they have all been delicious. Even the Cuban sandwiches are great. The service is always prompt and friendly. The drinks are always well made and strong.
Pacifico is such a good restaurant. The attention was good and food was amazing, I totally recommend this place. I loved it !!!
Absolutely phenomenal. Several stand out dishes and a great dessert. We enjoyed the pork belly, gambas, and sea bass the best. Great wine selection and staff is friendly and very helpful! Will definitely eat at Pacifico again.
The atmosphere was quiet and intimate and was great for relaxing conversation. Each course was not only presented well, but the servers knew all the answers to any questions. The ambiance is nice and the food is super good. Professional place!
Easily one of the coolest atmospheres for any restaurant downtown! Excellent service! Very cool dining room with high ceilings and the prices for the food (also excellent ) was very reasonable! I'll be back for sure
Love this place! The vibe is so unique like you entered Brazil or some colorful country in South America. The food and drinks are amazing and service is exceptional.
Love the food! Its always delicious. I prefer to go for a mid to late lunch. Great wine list and excellent service. The fajita salad bowl is super super yummy and the gambas al ajillo is always perfect. Start your meal with a ceviche and you'll roll yourself out the door happy.
I travel a lot for work all over the world. This place tanks in my top 5 meals of the last 6 years. I had the amazing Sea bass. Next time, I hope to try the seafood paella. Outstanding service.
After coming here several times I have to say it's becoming a favorite spot of mine! The staff is friendly, and their food is great! All of their small plates and entrees are incredibly flavorful. Prices are moderate ($19-30) for entrees, but I haven't been disappointed a single time coming here. Will be visiting again soon.
So glad we came here for a late dinner. We were absolutely famished when we arrived, probably ordered too much food and completely stuffed ourselves, and the food was so good that we finished everything and there wasn't a single bad dish.
Cranberry salad had mesclun greens, cranberries, cheese😂, A light vinaigrette was present but not overwhelming the salad. A nice healthy balance to our meal.
Seafood paella had a lot of seafood, saffron rice topped with red onions, cilantro and tomato. Incredibly delicious.
The ceviche was excellent.
The manager recommend us a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon was remarkable too. It was full and dry to taste. The acidity was there but not overpowering because the wine's dryness was present. It was just not acidic in the bad way. Also, it was smooth and went down easily. Just as he described!
Service was good and our server had a tendency to encourage us to order more dishes.
Overall a great experience at Pacifico.
Incredibly rude server and management. We had a larger group that they acted extremely put out about accommodating us, despite having made a reservation and calling that day to confirm. They also refused to validate parking because we didn’t order dinner (just $200+ in appetizers/drinks). The food/drinks were fine, but would not recommend this restaurant based on the horrible service alone.
Food & service was very good as usual.
Noise level was a bit high upstairs though.
The wait was super long and the food was tasteless.
Overall we enjoyed our meal. We were disappointed because we unknowingly came during restaurant week and we were forced to order from their prefixed menu. The drinks were a bit too pricey and not strong enough. I wouldn’t order cocktails, if we go again.
It was New Haven Restaurant Week so we decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised with food and service. Everything was delicious
Portion sizes were small, flavors were cluttered. In the space of two minutes, three different staff asked if we wanted a second glass of wine. Presentation, professionalism, and cleanliness were excellent!
Great food and great service!!
