   Pretty good and cute decor. Wooden stools aren’t kind to bony bums though, so an hour stay sitting on one of them is more than enough. Some of the fusion sashimi and carpaccio dishes are quite interesting and ingredients are good quality and fresh. Some other dishes don’t quite work and can be overpoweringly salty or sweet (such as the beef ribs). The Hojicha smoked duck was interesting but what’s with the mountain of finely chopped raw shallot served with it? Service is very good and attentive. It’s a small venue and tables are quite close to each other so if you are looking for a private conversation with your dining companion, not the venue for you. Has a limited sake menu but lots of other creative beverages including cocktails and wine. Music was good - vintage torch singer jazz.

   Great food! Outstanding service! Fantastic atmosphere! A cosy, intimate space humming with chatter and jazz. Every mouthful of every dish was an umami bomb. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and it was one of the best meals we have ever had. I’ll be looking for any and every excuse to find myself back here.

   We have been twice now and love the atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks. It's a fantastic little hidden gem. I can't wait to go back and sample some more.

   Lovely food, great ambience and they played Ella and Louis all night which, for romance, more than compensated for the excruciating first date at the table next to ours. The owner seems like a he loves what he does. Recommend the Karage Tuna special, the miso eggplant, and the very subtle martini with a dash of sake from their cocktails menu.

   Such a great place! Cosy, authentic Japanese restaurant/bar. It's very Japanese but at the same time not trying too hard. Exccletic decoration, great ambiance with a jazzy music background. The food is very good quality and well presented. Pricing is reasonable.

    The ramen and the beef ribs were pretty great. The sashimi was a bit overpriced for the small amounts of food but the presentation was nice. The duck was the most disappointing. Servers spilled food and drinks on us because of the Sat rush so that was the biggest negative. All in all though would go back again for the beef ribs. An extra bonus for the gf selection. Would have loved to have tried the items we saw on the website menu but they weren't available the night we went.
