    The staff was actually quite nice and polite, and I appreciated that. My friend and I tried to order two different set menus, but one of the staff members mentioned we could only order the same set. So, we decided to order the same dinner, but then she asked how many people we wanted to order for. I was confused because how does a single-person set menu work? If it does work, why couldn’t we order two different set menus? Additionally, once the first meal was served, it took more than 30 minutes for the other dishes to arrive after we finished the food. Overall, it took us three hours to finish dinner. I mentioned it was a birthday dinner when I made the reservation, and I noticed at least two other tables having birthday cakes, which was disappointing because no one offered us one.

    The service was ok, the atmosphere was that of a funeral and the food, except for the fried chicken which was wonderful, was TERRIBLE. When you advertise Wagyu, it needs to be Wagyu, a grad should be applied, 3-7, but this was not Wagyu, this was a cross, probably with Angus. The online menu, google pics and OpenTable menu, were NOT , what is offered. The menu has changed and I believe the management too, having read the reviews. To be Frank, I could have done better myself in the kitchen and I’m an amateur cook. We won’t be back, won’t recommend and suggest if you want to continue with this restaurant that you pay attention to the reviews and the food.

    Got the wagyu feast ($25pp for 3 share dishes) with wine pairing added on. Food was decent but on the smaller side. Felt a little pricey but it was wagyu so guess that justifies the higher price. Wine pairing was so-so. First wine was nice but the other two weren't so good and they didn't pair it with the food, just served when they had time. Overall ok experience but probably won't be back unless there's other deals.

    We had the set menu and was very sad to say the food was bland and tasteless. There were none of those usual strong Asian flavours of garlic or ginger for example, it’s was very bland. We sadly left food in the dishes, not finishing our meal and we never do that. It was disappointing as the insta reviews were great and the venue looked amazing. I wouldn’t go back.

    We had the $88 menu between five of us. Ototto accommodated the uneven numbers well. The dishes were delicious and nicely presented. Our drinks were also good and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. Overall it was a good experience. We were the last too leave so the seating, and environment was comfortable and we felt relaxed. Overall a very good experience.
