Excellent service, great authentic Italian food, nice wine list
Delicious food, the pre theatre menu is good value, nice location.
Lovely place off the beatin track. Really nice staff made us feel very welcome. Service was quick, ery easy to book a table and modify if needed. Will definitely be back
Excellent pizza, however the size of the starters was disappointing, you should not write “arancini” on the menu which is plural if you are serving only one small piece. That is misleading. Table beside was also very loud.
We had a wonderful meal celebrating a friend’s birthday - the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thanks to Camilla and Jennifer in particular for ensuring we had a great evening.
Good food in rely nice place with amazing service.
As always we had a really fab night here. Staff were super attentitive and helpful with the menu. My sister is a veggie and they worked with her to create a bespoke pasta dish to suit her tastes as the menu that night was a little limited for her. Great bar staff who engaged with our table while making our cocktails. We had to reduce our numbers last minute and management worked with us to find a more suitable table an hour before we arrived. You really can't ask for anything better!
Our booking was for 8.30 pm but we arrived at 8 pm and were taken to our table straight away which was great.
My pork chop was delicious, with the salad. The sparking water bottle was very small, I would have preferred a larger bottle.
Dessert and coffee delicious.
Beautiful setting - excellent service, great food. Will definitely return.
Food and service were excellent. Dessert in particular was great.
Nice restaurant with great food. Definitely worth visiting when you are in Dublin!
A friend recommended me this place for a nice meal with the family, and I was very surprised by how bad the food was. My parents' dishes were no better (we each ordered something different). The wine and the deserts were good, but not enough to cover for the awful taste of the entrees.
I am not going back there, and I recommend that if you are in for quality Italian cuisine, pass on this place too.
The environment and decoration were spot on. The service was brilliant with attentive staff and friendly. The food was excellent specially the pasta from the chef taste menu. It was an amazing experience for us.
The service is always perfect, and the food is absolutely delicious!
Also have to note they have best Polenta Fries in Dublin!
Felt the food was great, the service was good, however there wasn't much enthusiasm from the waiter serving us.
Very nice Italian food - excellent service -however whilst I have dined in the “ cavern “ area of the restaurant before - the overhead rumble of the train was never a problem- in fact it’s a kind of a feature of the place - but a combination of that with a very loud table of Americans made it virtually impossible to have an ordinary conversation in that area ! You should measure the decibel level of that area when you have large group tables there !
I’d return but to a quieter table at the front of the restaurant!
We had the tasting men and it was perfect. Not too big, not too small, perfect sharing plates. Loved the way the waitress offered to leave us pour our own wine. Hate some restaurants that pour it for you when not required or not ready and you drink quicker than you would like or it gets warm in the glass. We were left to our own devices and then she also offered us breaks between our courses. Excellent attention to the customer and hugely appreciated in particular given there was a lot of plates and it could have been too much if brought out too quickly. But instead it was perfectly paced.
I think the food was very average, not a place to come back.
Have a wonderful evening here last Saturday. Great buzz, fantastic service (Robert the Manager is incredibly attentive to everyone). Will definitely return
Great food; fantastic service & lovely ambiance.
Thank you to Sabi ( I am sorry I have no idea how to spell his name but he was a Polish waiter with cool glasses) for being amazing!
We had a great night :)
Lovely food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back.
A great place, warm, interesting, friendly. I especially liked the open, wood-fired pizza oven on view behind the bar.
The food was fabulous - at least what I ordered (beetroot salad, bruschetta, pizza), though I didn't like so much like the look of my some of my co-diners' choices (eg chicken breast on beans).
I went there for a lunch with other men. I now look forward to bringing my wife there - and, based on what I told her, so does she!
One suggestion - please stock a good IPA beer in the fridge!
Hands down favorite spot for a business lunch around Grand Canal Dock. Consistent, predictable, high quality food and service. Able to get in and out quickly.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, food and wine very good, our waitress was excellent.
This place is gorgeous, really buzzy atmosphere on a Sunday early evening. We had some small plates to start and then a pizza, all excellent. The service is really good and attentive. The food comes out well presented, hot and on time - all served with a smile. Loved it and will definitely go back.
Excellent food, great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience start to finish. Staff where really friendly and helpful. Food was really tasty and presentation was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Really nice food and the atmosphere was lovely. Good location for the Bord Gais Theatre also.
Excellent food, very friendly service and good ambiance made for a really enjoyable family celebration. Have eaten here several times and will be back again.
Great ambiance. Would be a great place for a date
Quality food and service. As close to real italian experience you can expect outside of Italy. Highly recommend. High seating leaves you in a more open part of the restaurant, while low tables have you sitting in the tunnel area under the railway line. Choose your seats depending on the night you're going after!
Good food, a little pricey? Service was good and just what we needed as we were going to a show so time was tight.
Pizza was horrid, no flavor no sauce didn’t even have herbs.
Room is noisy dufficult to converse if group is large. Food was average , my pasta tasted nice and was well cooked but was cold when it arrived at the table.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. The steak tagliatta was to die for. And the Tiramsu baked to perfection!
Beef was perfect
Fabulous meal. Wonderful food. Great service. Can’t wait to go back. Will be recommending Osteria Lucio to everyone
Overall was a very good experience. The starters and desserts were very good, main courses were over salted, especially the lamb. Ambiance was good, waiting staff were great.
It was for my boyfriend's birthday. He has been living in Dublin for the past 3 years and has said it's the best meal he has had in the city to date! Excellent place. Loved it.
