Osteria La Spiga
You'll love our atmosphere as much as the food! We are located in the artfully renovated Piston & Ring building; its rustic-elegant design is warm enough for family, yet cool enough for a date. We hope you'll join us soon for a tantalizing taste of Italy in our warm, inviting space.
Large, comfy booths. Soft lighting and a great happy hour.
Another terrific meal at La Spiga. The atmosphere has a nice low-key swanky energy to it, and the service is always impeccable. The appetizers are always interesting, the Frito Misto has a nice array of seafood, and the burrata, grilled peach, and prosciutto appetizer was our favorite. The highlight of the pasta's we tried was the cuttlefish ink pasta with a seafood ragu, if you are a seafood lover it is a terrific entree.
Very good food and service. We were celebrating my boyfriend's 40th birthday and our waitress really went out of her way to make it special.
We wanted to try something new and the reviews on Open Table were positive. We found all the pasta dishes including gnocchi and seafood pasta to be very marginal. Calamari as an appetizer was heavily breaded. The server was not super friendly. The wait-staff wanted the plates cleared quickly even though there was still food on them. This restaurant was a huge disappointment.
Lots of flies.
The waiter was incredibly condescending and made the experience awful. Good food, bad overall experience
We had a wonderful server in a beautiful space. The cocktails were delicious, as was the homemade pasta.
This is often our first stop each time we visit Seattle. The Tagliatelle al Burro di Tartufo is consistently delicious
This is probably our favorite restaurant in Seattle. Excellent food, knowledgeable staff and a great bar!
Amazong food and amazing ambiance 10 stars out of 5
The food was excellent, fresh, and creative, but what would bring me back most was the service. All of the staff members were unusually friendly, kind, and attentive.
Food was delicious! Wine excellent! Service was outstanding! We will be back next time we are in Seattle.
The dinner was awkward. It took a long time between the salad/potatoes and the entrees. The roasted potatoes, while delicious, had absolutely no rosemary flavor. Not sure why our server had tables spread out all over the huge space...rendering him unable to fully service any from what I saw. The entrees were good, the lasagna a bit too soft but flavorful. I wish there was a button to select "Recommend with hesitancy"
Sat outside, no one else outside. It was a perfect evening. Food very good. Great wine list by regions of Italy.
Really liked the tagliatelle with truffle butter (even better paired with a glass of Bianco)! Aside from that really enjoyed the happy hour items - would definitely come back for happy hour.
I love this restaurant. All of the food is absolutely delicious and it is an amazing space. I only wish the portions for the pasta were a bit bigger, but it’s absolutely amazing food
They seemed to be out of many things
The homemade pastas are delicious! Service was great and every dish we ordered was wonderful!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Wonderful place!
The service is appallingly bad and the food quality has dropped quite significantly. This isn’t the place it once was. First time we went, the food was great and the service was appalling- our waitress literally went missing half way through our meal and we were left to flag down a bus boy for drinks, dessert, etc.. This time, everything was a disaster. We had to pry info from the server re specials and she never returned after we ordered, didn’t offer us drinks, bread, etc AND forgot our salads - which were plopped down 15 minutes after our entree was served by a bus person and with no apology. Server’s only concern seemed to be ungracefully clearing our plates mid bite- really rather bizarre. Re the food, the panzanella salad was especially bad - piled high with diced canned peaches — but no cubed bread?! The ravioli were also incompetently prepared and basically mush and oddly sweet. Lastly, the cheese board was an overpriced joke for 3 bites of mediocre, at best, cheese. Too many great restaurants in town to make this mistake again!
Food was great! Service was good but a bit on the slow end. We wanted to get dessert but unfortunately ran out of time be
Pasta was very good but the salad was basically a bunch of frisbee and weak flavorless dressing. very disappointing .
Good food. Great service!
Meh. Service was terrific. Food unremarkable.
Best Monday happy hour! We had the best meal and sat out on the charming patio. Lovely summer evening. Don’t miss the gnocchi, lasagna or truffle tagliatelle!
Bella provided excellent service. We shared the Insalata Mista, the Tortelli with chard, pine nuts and raisins in a butter sauce, and finished with the sausage and chicken with peppers. She timed each course perfectly. The food was delicious as always.
Bonus was a piano and bass duo playing jazz standards.
The short ribs came out dry, but otherwise it was delicious.
Amazing truffle pasta.
5 Stars - Love this place, the servers, the owner and food! Couldn't be better!!!
A small note - I will need to remember when the piano player is there to sit a bit away from them. Although nice, it makes is a little hard for us to easily hear each other.
Thanks for a wonderful experience, as always!!!! -Patty
Dined with two others. We all enjoyed our meal. Only quibble is charging $3 for bread when we're ordering the Caprese. The lasagna and gnocchi were very good but the tagliatelle with truffle was outstanding. It's a quaint and friendly neighborhood restaurant. We all enjoyed it very much.
Loved the ambiance! It's so nice to be able to sit down, eat, and hear your conversation without scooching closer and asking, "what?!" all the time.
Food was good and not terribly priced. Portions are the size we should be eating, not what we want to see for the price.
Happy hour was amazingly priced and love that they had fun drinks that I may not have tried if there were more options.
Decent restaurant. We enjoyed our meal - food was flavorful. Nothing exceptional, however, the meal was absolutely enjoyable.
The food was really salty the wine was corked and the server said not wasn’t
I drink a lot of wine and I know if it’s corked she brought me a different glass of wine it was ok.
The menu was limited not a US wine on there list
We sat on the deck outside it was super noisy
I would no recommend this restaurant t
This had great atmosphere and the staff was amazing. Will definitely come back next time Im in Seattle.
Food, cocktail and experience were great, although pretty spendy.
Only issue was with the gluten-free menu. It is a little inconsistent in that, while they have GF bred, friend polenta, etc, that are gluten-free, they typically fry it on the regular grill making it NOT GF for those who really need it. They were great about doing as much as they could to compensate for this and really, the food was really good! We really enjoyed it overall, just too bad that they try hard to have GF options that end up not always being real options...
We'll go back!
Loved this restaurant! Actually walked into an amazing wine tasting of Italian wines! One carnivore and two vegans, and everyone walked out smiling!
Great food, great service...love the booths. Overall a great dining experience.
Happy hour all day on Monday!
We always get a good consistent meal at La Spiga. We will always continue to dine there.
Yes - love the atmosphere but I wouldn't come too hungry. Small proportions sizes and the plates are expensive, but very tasty. Great wine.
