Beautiful gem hidden away in Enmore. Food and service outstanding. We did the Va Bene 5 course menu and it was very well executed with good input from the staff on the options and wine. Some of the courses are a little too small but I admit I have a big appetite and just want more of the lovely food!
Always a terrific authentic italian meal with great hospitality
Food is consistently good. Has not disappointed us yet. Thank you for the lovely birthday orangecello and homemade cookies with Nutella.
Love this restaurant, cozy space, amazing service and innovative menu. We hadn’t been for 2 years, but always talked about going back and finally did. We had the chefs 5 course menu with a couple of extras and everything was outstanding and extremely good value. Highlights were: Cauliflower risotto, the lamb and the rhubarb semifreddo.
Great food, ambience and service. But best of all Will BYO a special bottle of wine. My mates and I loved it
Great food and matching wines. Not too rich, just right. One of the best meals I have had for a long time
Fantastic food and a wonderful wine list. I had the best dinner here and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves their food!!
Once me and my wife walked in we loved every bit of it a lovely old style Italian restaurant we will be back 100%
This is a true find and especially in our area. The service was very good indeed. The food was generally very good, the main dish of lamb was a bit disappointing in that it seemed to lack flavour. We did the 5 plate degustation menu and there was no lack of food.
It is also BYO and for people like us with good wine to drink this is a real plus. I could never afford to purchase the wine I bring even if they had it on the list
We will make it a much more regular venue
We had a wonderful birthday dinner here for my husband. Mark was so accommodating with our reservation, the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I can't recommend this special restaurant enough!
Perfectly portioned degustation menu which leaves you feeling well satisfied, but not over-full with three courses to still to come!
Sensational, interesting food in an old Italian style. Excellent.
The service was amazing and timely but the food was abysmal. I don’t recommend this place for food and value at all.
Food has gone down hill since the previous head chef left.
5 courses with matching wines was great! Loved the oxtail. Staff are very nice.
Cold entree of sardines very disappointing as was the tiny ‘main’ gnocchi. Delicious but overpriced and the size of an entree. Didn’t stay for desserts, went across the road instead
"Share plates" shouldn't have been advertised as such, portions were inadequate- when paying over $300 I don't expect to have to fill up on bread! Food was cold and the market fish had no flavour. On top of that, it felt like we were being rushed out.. the waiter took our plates away before we even got to finish our meals several times. Very disappointed.
Delicious sharing plates with fine ingredients. Gnocchi was lovely, Zucchini Flowers and Artichokes were great. Service was relaxed and very friendly. Share plates were on the small side , but quite rich so we were adequately full. Nice ambience, not too loud.
Pasta was overpriced and one dish was simply not hot enough. Service was prompt but would not rush back unfortunately
Elegant room, excellent & informed service, beautiful & interesting food. Lovely experience.
Maybe we ‘ordered badly’ or the chef had a bad night but at a restaurant with a reputation to live up to, that shouldn’t be a thing.
5 courses at $60 pp I thought would feel like a bargain but when 2 of those dishes were inedible, I felt ripped off. Food was generally cold, market fish tasted like an aromatherapy candle, seafood ravioli was bad pasta sitting in a sauce on the turn.
I’m not a traditionalist but there were some failed experiments on that menu at the cost of well-paired flavours. I’m not a food waster either so when I say inedible, I mean I couldn’t even shove that stuff down in the spirit of making the most of it.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal served by very professional and attentive staff.
Extraordinary food. Exceptional service. Outstanding evening. I'll be back.
We very much enjoyed our dinner and would def come back again- the food was exceptional
Very friendly service too
Had the “va bene” selection and the team at the restaurant catered to my friends vegan dietary requirements. Great service. Recommend the zucchini flower dish as well as the funghi dish.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere - I would highly recommend! One of the best meals I've had in a long time
Great meal with an interesting twist on traditional Italian. Loved it!
Being our 4th experience with R&R, I should say this was the one that left us least impressed.
We always opt for the 5-course menu and let it to the Chef's criteria, and I believe that is why the food did not meet our expectations.
Everything was executed correctly, but that was it. None of the dishes on this new menu was actually memorable and we finished the night under the impression that the old menu was more daring, flavoursome and generous (portion wise).
The highlight of the night was the cocktails (try the one with chinotto - it is great!) and the dessert with dulce the leche.
Service is always spectacular. You can not fault that team.
We are willing to give a new chance to R&R based on the good old times, but the next time, we are definitely picking the meals ourselves.
Fantastic as always. Service is genuine and friendly and nothing is ever a problem.
We had such a lovely dining experience - amazing food, we have been recommending to everyone! Do yourself a favour and book NOW!
Dismissive service and inaccurate advice on how many meals to order. Waitress advised on 1 entree and 2 mains for 4 people as they were large serves. I wouldn't say 7 pieces of gnocchi a large serve nor a palm size piece of oxtail large enough for 4. We ordered an additional 2 mains. Very strange you offer no salads or vegetable side dishes.
Excellent, excellent, true Italian dishes, unique, knowledgeable service. Worth a hat, hands down.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance. Great place to let your tastebuds run free. Flavours are not your typical Italian staples. Menu pushes the boundaries with triumph. We will be definitely returning to enjoy the remaining dishes we didn't get to try. Love the place, the food, the staff. Great night out (that felt like a great night in). Cheers, Kim.
Great seasonal and interesting food, delicious and affordable wines and great service in an unpretentious setting - a winner!
Had a lovely evening taking my boyfriend out for his birthday.
Great food and great ambience.
Definitely go there again.
Great food - interesting ingredients and combinations, but great flavours, very tasty and satisfying. Excellent attentive and friendly service, with a very strong knowledge of the menu. The restaurant is relatively small with a cosy feel and was pleasantly quiet when we were there, allowing comfortable conversation. Servings aren't large, but this lets you sample more of the menu, and we were certainly satisfied when we left. Delicious cocktails and house-made sodas. Not cheap, but worth it for good food.
I love the wonderful balance of old-world, family restaurant feeling combined with the modern, sophisticated and accessible menu and wine list. The family-style degustation option with wine paring is an especially wonderful way to enjoy all that Russo has to offer. They are also incredibly customer-focused and make you feel like an old friend even if it's your first visit. A gem of a place.
Booking was easy and we enjoyed a thoroughly warm welcome from the staff. Service was prompt and attentive without being cloying. Menu was easy, choices delicious and the cheft's tasting menu – five dishes to share at $60 a head was an excellent way to sample the choicest house dishes. Only slight fault was the temperature grew a little cold as the evening wore on, but otherwise, terrific all round. Would thoroughly recommend.
Wow - what an amazing meal. We did the 7 course trust the chef menu and each course was so tasty and delightful. Highly recommend!
This restaurant never disappoints. They have a brief but impressive menu and the service is always exceptional. I would highly recommend a visit.
