OSTERIA 106, AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN DINING SPACE IN MANHATTAN'S UPPER WEST SIDE.
OUR HOPE IS TO BRING A RELAXED, COMFORTABLE & TRULY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE TO OUR GUESTS, PRESENTING A FRESH APPROACH TO THE
FAMILIAR LANDSCAPE OF ITALIAN CUISINE.
We've been there several times. This time was a little busier than it sometimes is. It seemed like they were understaffed. The waitresses spent most of their time running. Service was definitely scattered. Our waitress made a few mistakes, or the kitchen made a few mistakes. If they had one more server, it would have been fine. I've never been there when they've had more than two, so it might be something they should think about. These two were perfectly fine and on a slightly slower night would have been great. That night both of them were struggling.
As always the food was excellent.
I won't hold this one less than perfect night against them, and I'll definitely go back.
Great Italian restaurant. Wonderful brunch menu and delicious dinner options.
My eggs Benedict with mortadella were perfect for me- crunchy thin English muffin, fried mortadella, just runny poached eggs with just a reasonable amount of hollandaise. Cappuccino also well done. Attentive, pleasant service. Very reasonable price exceptional value.
Super affordable & tasty brunch! Also my server was SO nice (notably so). My friend was running extremely late, and my server was extremely kind about it.
The place is kinda noisy but the overall ambience was good. The food was mediocre - particularly the Pollo which was dry and lacked flavor.
Wonderful Northern Italian and Roman cuisine in an incredibly friendly, chill neighborhood atmosphere
I hope no one reads this, because , I want to be able to get a reservation in the future. The food was lovely , the Burrata and Prosciutto classic, but wonderful ingredients. The Octopus , so very tender and well seasoned. The Snow Peas, Mint & Pecorino Romano salad , fresh and just about perfect.. We were there early on a Sunday , and had reservations, the restaurant filled up very quickly . Looking forward to returning.
I wonderful find. Located a bit out of the way but ambiance was great and service was superb. Food was amazinh
Genuine Italian food and service. Started out quiet at 6:30 but was pretty animated by 7:30. Lots of nice vegetarian options and all dishes were well made and generous in size. Interesting wine list throughout the range of prices.
My favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Never disappoints
Very quaint resto in Manhattan NYC.
Was lucky to get a last minute reservation and we were so happy too!
The welcome was warm and pleasant and everyone was so nice.
Food was delicious and we highly recommend!!
This was our first time at Osteria 106, although we were familiar with the venue from visits to the previous restaurant in the same space. What a difference! We went on a Friday night, and the place was hopping, with people waiting to get in. Food was excellent and we very much enjoyed the evening. It's not quite 5 stars yet (I was unimpressed by the lump of steamed spinach that accompanied my veal piccatta), but the veal was very good, albeit not the pounded thin presentation that I have come to expect. My wife loved the butternut squash ravioli. Available wines were more than adequate. Our server was new (first night) but she did a fine job, even though she was not yet an expert on the menu.
We loved it and so did our friend who joined us. Wonderful food and great service.
Osteria 106 was an all-around excellent experience. I appreciated the attentive service, the cozy ambiance, as well as the diverse menu options (including multiple daily specials). The salmon, with mustard sauce, was prepared and seasoned perfectly, as were the vegetables. I ordered the cheesecake (made in house with ricotta) for dessert, which was also fantastic. Overall, the quality-to-price ratio makes Osteria 106 an exceptional value. I would highly recommend.
A True Neighborhood Gem. I think one of the Best Italian Restaurants in the Area. I Only wish they would have cushions on there seats.
Yes reluctantly,as I don’t want so popular you can never get a table.
We go there often and love it.
The food was very good. We just returned from Italy from a three week trip touring the country. The food at Osteria 106 was very authentic!
Amazing food and service. Extremely happy with the portions. Such a great place to dine intimately with friends or a loved one. Definitely, top on the list of great UWS restaurants.
We had brunch there. My panino was ok, not great. I think my friend’s egg Benedict with smoked salmon was a better choice. Cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had in the city. Generous mimosas; reasonably priced. Would like to try the dinner menu. Very nice co-owner, Melissa.
Osteria 106 is a wonderful neighborhood family run restaurant. There are so few of these gems left and I plan to eat there many more times. The service, food, wine was superb!
Hidden gem. People should head north for a great experience and great food.
Authentic Italian gem in an out of the way neighborhood. Worth the trip. Will be back & bring friends. The owner was very friendly! Wine only- no cocktails.
Great neighborhood resturant, always a full house, reservations recommended.
The most amazing hidden gem - I eat here all the time and am always impressed by the incredible food, great service, and overall experience. If you’ve never been, go!
Best Italian restaurant in the city. Best value in the city. Best service in the city.
Wonderful Italian food. Delicious, charming, inviting neighborhood feel!
Osteria 106 is an authentic italian restaurant. They have amazing specials daily. I got the tortellini - which was amazing. The bruschetta is also top notch. Perfect place for two or a small group.
A great hole in the wall Italian place! The menu is a little limited, but everything on it is delicious, and it’s never too crowded
Cute little place. It was Sunday brunch so the menu was pretty limited. It was a good place to get out of the rain and talk. Everything was ok but nothing a wow.
Amazing dinner and THE BEST BRUNCH!
Our second visit and we weren’t disappointed. There’s obviously a lot of Italian food in New York. Osteria 106 manages to simplify it and make it more authentic. This really is a little piece of Italy, and I can’t recommend it enough
Everything ~ the food, the service, a nice quiet room ~ just outstanding!
Everything was perfect. One of the best restaurants in New York!!
The staff is extremely snooty, and unfriendly. The food was mediocre and extremely over priced. It was beyond noisy! Definitely not worth the money- there are hundreds of better restaurants on the upper west side! I would not recommend Osteria 106 to anyone!!
I stumbled on Osteria 106 shortly after it opened two years ago, and it was a find. The menu is imaginative (not the same old Italian standards), the food is really first rate (love the shredded snow pea salad!), it's cozy, and the service is excellent. The wine offerings are very good and very well priced. I've recommended it to many friends in the area and taken out-of-town visitors there. Everyone has loved it.
This charming neighborhood restaurant has delicious food (order the snow pea salad!) and a community feel. I've now tried pastas, chicken, fish... all wonderful. The staff is great but be warned that some nights of the week can be extremely busy. My last visit on a Tuesday night was perfect. The wine list is lovely. The restaurant is on 106th and easy to access from the B/C/ and 1 lines. A great find!
Everything Was Fantastic
From The Entrance To The Food
The Service Was Excellent
The Food Even Better!
My neighborhood restaurant! As a single woman who occasionally dines alone I find Osteria106 a delight. The staff are lovely and very helpful in selecting an agreeable wine and the ambience is perfect. The food never disappoints and the recent bronzini fish i dined on was scrumptious!
This is the best Restaurant in the area, by far. Really great food, Italian with a flair, and great space, cozy and stylish. This was a repeat performance of out standing quality!
