                                                                                                    Been here a few times. What strikes you first is the warm welcome. The staff really are delightful. They are attentive and solicitous throughout the meal. In the past I’ve been with groups and left the ordering to them. This time my partner and I agreed that we would just have to choose something. And that isn’t easy. The menu is expertly presented, with helpful pics positioned throughout. In addition there’s a daily specials board with tempting options. So in the end we just made a choice. Marie had the pork belly, which was soft without being glutinous, and flavorsome but not overpowering. We shared the sukiyaki, which was presented with its own charcoal bricks and remained hot. Meat, vegetables, noodles, mushrooms and tofu all in a sweet, soup like broth that you just had to guzzle. I also ordered some sashimi of salmon, tuna and kingfish. Again, perfectly presented, plenty of wasabi, and succulent. We were lost with the sake selection, but the waiter understood and brought a hot one, which went perfectly with the food. This place is not cheap. The bill was a bit over $100. But it seemed like great value and I was happy to pay.
