We visit OSA often. Excellent food and service.
Very cool vibe and delicious food. I ordered the white pasta but tasted the steak and scallops- all were wonderful. The bread and the wine list were also outstanding. Best place I have eaten in Middletown.
Great food and awesome staff!
Fantastic food and service
I love this restaurant. It’s always creative, and it just has great vibes!! The people who work here really enjoy what they are doing. And what they are doing, is making great food with local ingredients. What more could you ask for.
I don’t normally write reviews but I will make an exception. We had dinner there this past Saturday after getting engaged. I had let the restaurant know about this and they went above and beyond to make this special day better than we could have hoped. The food which is always great was amazing and took into consideration our various allergies. The service and ambience were incredible (we sat at a corner table by the window). There are many great restaurants but only a few that go above and beyond for their customers. Can’t say how much I appreciate these people.
Osa’s farm to table selections were excellent. The burger was very good as was the steak. Also, try the octopus appetizer and seafood dip if it’s on the menu. All was very good. I look forward to going back next time!
Service was great, the whole team was attentive and no empty plates sat for long. Food was very good, well prepared and seasoned, every dish! The only complaint I have is the server had BO. If you're working in a restaurant serving food this good you should used deodorant.
Great food and service, awesome style. Would return and I want to try their other restaurants.
Delicious burgers. We went on a Wednesday and had two burgers and a beer for $20. A wonderful apple said topped off the meal. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and service.
What a great find!! With so many restaurants to choose from in Middletown, this one definitely rises to the top!! Food, service and ambiance is perfect for date night!! Can’t wait to go back again!!
The food at Osa is truly PHENOMENAL! Kudos to the chef for the creative combination of tastes and textures that just brings all their dishes to life.
Great locally sourced food well prepared. Good mix of fancier food for more adventurous eaters in our party, and basic burger for our comfort food fan. Good value for quality of food. Wine list was reasonable but also had some less common options. "Counter" seating was really a communal table, with plenty of room.
Excellent overall. Noise bounces off the walls and my date is hard of hearing, which made communication difficult. Otherwise top notch!
The food was awesome! I was originally concerned with the limited main meal menu (6 Items) however there were great choices and the food was great
The food was creative and delicious. Wood seating could be a bit more comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!
It's what you want: great ingredients, excellent dishes and warm service.
So, so good. Really everything was outstanding. Lots of meat, but the vegetarian pasta was also out of this world. Service was genuine and un-hovery. Prices are good for fine dining, which it is. Don't overdo on the awesome bread because there's so much more good to some. Save some bread for the great sauces. The steak dish was a standout. Owner super available and friendly - very nicely comped us a dessert with a candle for my daughter's 19th birthday, and came over to say hi. Do not miss this Middletown gem.
Loved my kale and peanut sald dish. The atmosphere was so dreamy. I can't wait to share with my friends and go back!
Young, hip, exciting noisy restaurant. The menu was extremely limited. The food was satisfactory, but not great. There were lots of servers, but it was hard to get their attention.
This is my favorite resturant in CT. They have nice wines, excellent cocktails, and a good whiskey selection. The flavors are multilayered and delicious especially on vegetarian appetizers.
Five stars all around. I’ve made a point to visit each week for the last few weeks- Superb
If you can deal with a noisy environment this restaurant is a must. All small plates were just fantastic, and the pan seared scallops were among the best I’ve ever had. Will go back there again soon!
Whenever my husband and I get a date night, we head to Osa. From the very start we knew it was special - and with an ever-changing seasonal menu, it never feels like a repeat. Best bread in the world! Super nice staff. Food is beyond.
The rustic atmosphere was cozy and warm. The food was fresh and delicious. Not a lot of choices though. I had the chicken saltimbocca and it was great. Light and crispy skin and moist inside. Wine was very good. I would recommend it if you’re open to farm to table dining.
There were four of us, and altogether we ordered 8-10 different menu items. Every one of them was spectacularly delicious and well served. The server was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful, giving us excellent advice when we asked for it. Ambiance warm and decor straightforward but very clean and attractive. We hadn’t expected this new place to be so far along in quality and performance, but it’s really great.
Great food, very fresh and unique twists even on the classics. Always good value and very friendly staff.
Good. Lovely atmosphere. Food was a little less than we hoped for.
Group of 5 went for a birthday dinner. The menu was very limited and it was difficult to find something appealing. Nevertheless the food we ultimately decided to order was very good. The summer spaghetti and the scallops were awesome. However, the meals were significantly more expensive than should be for the amount of food that was served. We were still hungry when we left. The nice thing is you can order tapas/family style, which I enjoy quite a bit. It took very long to receive our drinks, so if you are thirsty - order immediately. The dining room is small, but not overcrowded. They had outdoor seating which is essentially in an alley way between the next door building. I do not think I need to go back.
First time - good food, drinks and vibe. Would definitely return.
Osa is a GREAT place. Make the trip it's well worth it.
$29 for an open face cheese steak sandwich that didn't even come with a side?! I never felt so ripped off at a restaurant before.
Food is solid if unadventurous. Outside patio is drab. Menu is very limited.
Never disappointed!
Terrific! Delicious house-made bread, fresh ingredients. Johhnycake small plate was very tasty. Enjoyed scallops and wine too! Excellent service. We’ll be back!
Quiet, mildly eclectic, good value evening dining before the theater. We sat outside in the alley and it was quiet, a cooling breeze and away from the a/c of indoors. Great food and value...had the beer and burger special.
professional, courteous, intelligent owners, servers and kitchen staff- excellent all the way around!!!
Two meals were ordered. One was perfect, but the other had not been executed with a requested substitution of a vegetable in place of fried potatoes. Overall, the experience was positive. This was my second visit. The first time was really five star.
Would I recommend OSA to a friend? “I recommend OSA to everyone I meet.”
