The food was wonderful as always. Also it is nice that the host was already aware of my name from the reservation when we entered the restaurant. Our server became a bit less attentive as it became much busier and more crowded inside. but it is just a nitpick and not the level to bother us at all. In general, service was great and most of all the food is the best around.
Wanted to try a different Kevin and Teresa Davis restaurant (longtime fans of the Steelhead Diner), and this one didn’t disappoint. Tasty flatbread, wonderfully prepared pork chops over polenta, and outstanding service from start to finish. The next time we’re in Seattle, we’ll be back!
The pizza was wonderful with its charred crispy crust. The wood oven mussels were plump and sweet. My burger was rare , as I requested , with wonderful sauce, tomatoes/‘and bacon. Fries were hot and crisp. Yummy. Gracies pasta was perfect with the fresh fresh salad. Our. Cocktails were great. Service as always was friendly and efficient. Orfeo never disappoints. Love everything about it
We were treated especially well for our anniversary, but I’ve been treated well every time I’ve dined here. Everyone was warm, personable, and fun. The food is always fabulous, but Gracie’s Pasta and the polenta fritters are always my favorites.
Relaxing meal—if possible, ask for one of the upstairs booths, which are cozy, quiet and more private. The downstairs main dining area has more of the bustling urban vibe, if that’s what you prefer.
We visit Orfeo about once a week. In addition to the excellent food, value, and atmosphere, their happy hour is a real draw. The hearth bread is to die for, and really high quality house red wine for $5/glass or $20/bottle. The service is the best we have encountered in the Northwest.
Excellent food. Fresh made pasta was delicious. Carbonara and putanesca were great. Mussels were excellent too
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend if you looking for some delicious Italian cuisine.
Amazing service and amazing food. It's hard to say everything was great, but it was! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and prompt. For food, we got the hearth bread, oysters, NY steak, and carbonara pasta. The steak was perfectly cooked and the pasta was out of this world. We also ended with the tiramisu and it was a really nice texture. We will definitely be back!
Excellent seafood. Appetizer of the muscles was superior.
Wonderful melon gazpacho, mussels and roast chicken. Lovely meal with good service.
We were visiting Seattle for the week and went on a Gourmet Food Tour through Savor Seattle and received a discount card for several restaurants. Our guide recommended Orfeo and we’re glad we went! It was a wonderful dinner, we shared an appetizer of flat bread with small bowls of toppings - roasted garlic, olive tapenade, baba ganoosh & burrata (it’s better than it sounds)! I had the carbonara, hubby had the bone in pork chop, both excellent! Our service by Carrie was fabulous, she was very helpful, friendly and gracious. I highly recommend Orfeo!
Service was worst ever.. normally have great service. Ordered the oyster appetizer... both parties got sick. Since that the only common food we ate I concluded it was the oysters (plus one was spit out at table )
Always love the food and service! Was a bit noisy tonight but overall very good.
Went on a Tuesday night which was "Tango night" and there were free tango lessons. People seemed to be having fun. Food didn't take long to come out. We ordered pasta dishes and both were quite tasty.
The food was delicious. We will definitely visit when we next visit Seattle.
Excellent service and outstanding food in a modern, yet classy, atmosphere. I will be coming back for more soon!
This restaurant is consistently excellent by all accounts, including food, service, and ambiance. We especially enjoy the vegetarian options, including the happy hour menu.
A little expensive, and the food was not that great
One of our favorite restaurants. As we expected everything was great. So lovely to go to diner and have the food be prepared with care and have attentive service. Everything is always the bet quality from the anchovies on the delightful salad to the beef in the hamburger sliders to the oven roasted mussels. Yummy!!
Outstanding flavor combinations, very well prepared dishes. The restaurant manager was incredibly friendly and funny and quite helpful in choosing our wines.
This restaurant is in my neighborhood alas, it is not. The room is cavernous; in the middle of the room, tables; along a wall, semi-circular booths. The booths are the least bad of the two options. Specify a booth and you will avoid sitting with your date at an exposed, noisy table; instead sit in a booth staring at the exposed, noisy tables. Aesthetically, the room has a late eighties, early nineties feel: catsup colored accent wall, black laquer, curvy wood thing. Service was both indifferent and inattentive. A seemingly angry bald guy would stop by at our table looking annoyed; take an order; then disappear. When flagged down, he would bring some part of our order. Cocktails were horrible; but attractively described in the menu. The food was 'meh' to 'blech'. Do not get the Italian wedding soup; you'd do better to eat a divorce. It is watery and bland; in an attempt to salvage it, someone hurled a load of black pepper into it. The meatballs were dense; dry; gamey; rubbery, unpleasant and the best part of the soup. The Antipasto was uninspired toast, greasy salami, a sliver of parmigiana cheese (tasted like the same cheese that the waiter would grate on food) . Back to the cocktails, apparently the angry bald waiter is also bartender. He should not be.
We love this restaurant. They treat us as valued friends and customers. We have dined at Chef Kevin’s restaurants for many years. They never disappoint. The service is always exceptional The food,if it is not fresh and perfect, it is not on the menu This is true if all four chefs restaurants as well as Tempesta donuts. Tonight the pork chops with balsamic reduction and roasted fresh figs were the star. Such a lovely, delicious, relaxing Sunday evening.
Amazing food. Wonderful server! Octopus salad is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!
A good space and not too fussy; but thoughtful. I'm not a fan of the relatively open floor plan - it can be a bit noisy and non intimate feeling.
Delicious food. Octopus appetizer, 2 very wonderful pastas, with creme brulee for dessert. Great service. I appreciated their decent price for 1/2 wine bottle. Tuesday is Tango night whose music and dancers made it an extra fun evening to hear and observe the music and dancers.
Accommodating and attentive staff was the perfect compliment to our meal. The halibut and the mushroom pizza were both exquisite.
We had a party of 11, made a reservation, their wood fired method has some awesome flavor! Bolognese was amazing, as was the pizza - Thanks for a memorable meal!
we love this place. quiet for a conversation but lively. great service and amazingly food. we love the mussels. carmine pizza was delicious. my only hold back in recommending this establishment is that it will become so popular that we can not get a reservation for dinner.
We had a great evening. Great service, great food, great atmosphere.
Everyone was so friendly and fun. Enjoyed chatting with our waiter before the other guests arrived. The food was excellent - especially the octopus salad and the unique but delicious Carbonara.
Our waiter, Adam, was wonderful. The food was amazing! I said I wanted to taste my husbands and so Adam asked the chef to divide each plate so we got both. Very thoughtful!
Amazing !!!! Katy was awesome. Best Italian food iv EVER had.
Katie was great! She was fun and made sure we were well taken care if. My son had the pizza (loved it), I had the oyster and mussel appetizers for my meal and my husband had a pasta dish. We had tiramisu and strawberry creme brûlée for desert. All of the food was wonderful. Very enjoyable evening.
The service was rather usual. I had to get up to ask for pepper. Refills on beverages were not offered. If a 20% gratuity/service charge was not included I would’ve left 15%.
The upside is that we ordered from the happy hour menu and everything we tried was outstanding! The portions were very large for happy hour.
The ambiance was very good and we will return.
Great food and service. The decoration was a little bit sad.
Orfeo was a great find on open table. The service was friendly and helpful. It was a Monday night and relatively slow crowd but that just made them more attentive. We ordered the mussels which we fabulous and I got Gracie's pasta. The pasta was good although simple: it was essentially very fancy buttered noodles. Regardless, loved it. Would recommend to locals especially for happy hour!
Everything from the appetizers (smoked mussels), to the main course (Ling Cod) and finishing with the dessert (tiramisu) was fantastic. Everyone in our party was very impressed. The service was well beyond par, a true team effort. When back in Seattle, we will return. A very well balanced menu with changes often.
Went there for a first date and it was impressive. I got a second date with the help of the crew at Orfeo. Thanks and I will be back.
Delicious pizza. Very accommodating, friendly hostess and server.
