   I really like this place food is good but service always lets you down. Are your waiters training if so then that’s fine if not then service is quite bad. As example yesterday I received drinks I did not order, I was given sparkling water in plastic bottle and had to ask for a glass which should be standard for restaurant not to drink from a plastic bottle

   The food was fantastic, everything there. Staff were helpful, cleared dirty plates quickly and view is lovely. Will come again next year when footy is on.

   We had a very good lunch across four courses in a very leisurely manner. The food was of a very high standard with a large number of options for all courses. Although the restaurant was busy service was excellent with positive and obliging staff. We will definitely dine at the City View Cafe again

   The food was tasty, but could have done with a little extra seasoning. It might also be worthwhile checking to see that what is wriiten on the menu, is actually what is being served. I was looking first to eating asparagus with my garlic chicken, but received broccolini. Only a small fault, but it was a disappointment none the less. Can't fault the service which was speedy, abd all waitstaff were very helpful & friendly.

    The person who greeted us at the front counter was rude. It doesn’t hurt to be pleasant, even if it’s fake. Asked for the name the booking was under I gave her the name and my booking number she then proceeded to tell me quite rudely “I don’t need the number our system doesn’t run that way I just need your name” in a demeaning tone, no eye contact, too busy flicking her hair and walking around like royalty. Sarsha who served us was lovely and very cheerful. Food was okay.

    Nice to have an option of a sit down meal out of the rain and cold before the game and meal options better than fast food options at stadium. Staff were lovely but many were new so service a little slow but we didn't mind. Overall we'd definitely head there again!

    Perfect location for a pre match feed. A nice menu and good quality food however, the service staff need further training. We had incorrect drinks attempted to be delivered to our table multiple times and the waitress continued to talk us through the “complicated” steps required to put the order through the system. It took her a couple of goes to get our 2 items right. The restaurant manager recognised the poor quality of service received and apologised at the end of our meal which was appreciated.

    We had a pleasant lunch experience. Good food, not too crowded, courteous staff, nice view, good value, etc. The only slight negative point was that that not everyone got their meals at the same time. There were about 10 minutes time difference between the first person and the last person served. Perhaps there was a mix-up in the kitchen.

    Our booking was on a Dockers game day for 4pm. Wonderful window table to enjoy the Perth winter skyline. The café was rather busy. Our order was taken quickly. I ordered the fish and chips. Very good. Best chips. Nice side salad. The fish was excellent. I think the café has a new supplier of battered fish fillets. No longer does the fish have that overpowering ‘fishy’ taste. My partner ordered the daily special: slow braised beef cheek with mashed potato and green beans. My partner couldn’t and wouldn’t stop raving about how good it was. I tried a small sample off her plate and had to agree….melt in your mouth stuff. The only downer was the very slow service from the kitchen to our table. Normally, your food turns up very quick. I recommend you give the City View Café a go. Well worth it.

    Absolutely loved our time at City View Cafe. Great view, relaxed atmosphere and first class service and delicious food. Would highly recommend it and will most definitely be back.

    This is my favourite place to take friends. The main menu has only 2 gluten free options however. A wider choice would be an improvement for Coeliac people.

    This was a family lunch to celebrate my aunt's 60th birthday. We placed orders for the youngest nieces so they could start their meal ahead of the rest of us but after a long wait my sister approached the counter to find out why the children's orders had not yet arrived and was told the orders had been "lost". Although the remaining orders were placed together we were not served together so my other sister and her niece had almost finished eating by the time meals arrived for my husband and I. The redeeming factor was the amazing view.

    Pre-game Fremantle Dockers experience: This season, we have become regulars, four of us meeting in the cafe for a pre-match meal, but have often felt let down by poor service levels. However, introducing ordering at the table, instead of demanding patrons queue at the counter, is a massive improvement, as is the expanded menu. The cafe provides a genuinely good dining experience now, rather than the former take-or-leave-it cafeteria atmosphere. Any chance the advance booking system could be tweaked, to allow pre-game bookings for up to a fortnight before matches? Unfortunately, the booking service really needs improving.

    The restaurant wanted to charge us $6.50 per head to have our own birthday cake. Ridiculous. We wont be going there for a birthday celebration again

    Great lunch venue at a good price. Food has improved enormously and portions are just right. Only down side is price of glass of wine. Could be more in keeping with overall food prices and style of restaurant. But it’s one of our favourite lunch venues. Thanks.

    Enjoyed our luncheon with our two sons who are very fussy with eating they throughly enjoyed their burger and my husband and I had the fish and chips All served with no difficulty and enjoyed by all Impressed with the cleanliness of the cafe as well as they beautiful scenic location, staff friendly and efficient. Only surprised it was not as busy as we expected being the WA day holiday Nice to note that there was no public holiday surcharge which is good for our pockets but hopefully not detrimental for the business as coming from a hospitality background staff costs can be a problem and a fine balance between surviving as a business Very impressed with the manager she was particularly friendly and very professional We also left a review on Google which surprised us to see another most uncomplimentary review submitted earlier with people saying the service was slow and unfriendly We find it hard to believe this review is fair and doubt the sincerity of the reviewers as this establishment is world class and well above the general standard usually found in casual cafes around the Perth CBD People don’t understand that by giving low star reviews not only drags your rating as a business down drastically and I believe unfairly it personally causes great distress for the people who are working so hard to do a good job of servicing the business It can be very depressing and not constructive at all to help the business if there truely are problems that need to be addressed to improve a service rather than petty personal grievances aired in a non productive manner

    Beautiful views down the river and across to Perth. Lovely attentive staff. The breakfast options are varied and a reasonable price, though we all said they were a little cold, I think that was also partly our choice of avo on toast with eggs and sides. Definitely would go again and don’t forget to ask for a window seat when booking.

    Lovely ambience and great views of the City we had a great table near the windows. Only issue we had we wanted Orange Juice and staff said there was none on the menu and the table beside us had Juice strange !
