The service has been slipping recently. They used to have a maitre d' or similar who would seat people and seemed to generally keep things organised. They now have a sign telling you to select a non-reserved table. This is fine except when you have a booking. You either have to wait a few minutes for someone to come over or have them yell at you from the coffee machine. Once you get passed these initial stages, the service is also less than it was. There is still one great member of the waitstaff who has been there for a while, but many of the newer staff are dour at best. The service is not bad as such (especially by Perth's low standards), it is just a shame that they seem to be cutting costs without cutting the quite-high prices. The food, however, remains top-notch.

I absolutely love City View Cafe but today’s experience could have been better. The menu is getting smaller and even more expensive for what you get. Not much variety like there use to be. The most disappointing items on the menu are the deserts. $16.50 for a ‘lava cake’ was extortion. I know it’s the footy but…… Optus Stadium management needs to review the menu at City View Cafe and make some changes. The venue is superb and staff are excellent.

We arrived a half hour before Optus gates opened. There was no instruction from the restaurant that the gates were closed. After walking almost the perimeter we were advised that only Gate C was open early.. We are not young. Very hot weather. It would have been nice to have been given this information in advance.

Great game day experience before the game. Without doubt the best view over the Swan River to the City. Good food although now it’s starting to get a little pricey. Staff and service is first rate. Orders are delivered to your table quickly. Yes I do recommend City View Café.

I am extremely disappointed with the service during our recent visit. We arrived at 1:50 PM and did not receive our food until 2:40 PM—an unacceptable wait time. Despite following up and clearly stating that we had a game to attend at 3:10 PM, the delay meant we were unable to eat and reach our seats on time. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Not only did it ruin our dining experience, but it also disrupted our plans. I expect a response explaining how such delays are being addressed to prevent this from happening to other customers.

Great view from the restaurant. Menu not extensive but our fish and chip meals were very nice and quite large. Side salad was very fresh too. Meals served to tables around us looked delicious. Drinks menu was good. Very, very good service. We’ll try to make this our first stop before each game.

We had lunch after an Optus Stadium tour. It was a set menu, my husband & I were able to find something we liked even though the set menu wasn't extensive. It also came with a decent choice of drinks, hot or cold.
