Twelve years of experience is something you can taste as you sample the traditional cooking made fresh from the kitchen of a Portuguese chef. Using only the finest recipes with a heavy influence on home-style quality. Oporto Cafe prepares only the most scrumptious selections. The fresh flavors and the extensive Portuguese wine list make Oporto a lunch-must for the business set. And taking a break from a hectic schedule to enjoy some feel-good food is quite often the top priority. But these movers and shakers are not the only ones who have discovered the city´s best Portuguese and Brazilian. Evening diners fill the restaurant eagerly awaiting leisurely dinner and a sip from a well-deserved glass of wine at Oporto

Excellent Portuguesse Food. Bacalhao ao Nata was fabulous. Both the white Porto and the regular
Porto wine ( 30 yrs aged ) were excellent. Will go back and hopefully will get the same waiter - a nice lady from Venezuela.
I called a couple days before to confirm they have Franchicina on the lunch and dinner menu. I also made a reservation on open table and mentioned in comments Franchisina and pastal de nata would be ordered as it was my hubbies bday. We arrived and were the only customers. However, we just chalked it up to being early. When we went to order Franchisina and Octopus we were informed that the sirloin was still frozen as well as the octopus. The lady went 2x to the chef to ask if they could do anything considering I had it in my reservation and called. Unfortunately it was a no go.
The lady serving (Virginia) was a sweetheart and apologized profusely. We decided just to get the bacalao appy and wine since we were very hungry. We also got the pastal de nata and a glass of port each. The food was alright and the server was very nice. However, the fact that they couldn’t accommodate both dishes we wanted as well as knowing the items aren’t fresh but frozen was a bummer too. Shame as this is the only Portuguese restaurant I could find that even had Franchisina on the menu. I may try again but only if I called and talked to Virginia ahead of time as to have a confirmation of ingredients being available.
Many items of menu missing, bacalau natas not as good as before
Oporto is not the same restaurant as it used to be. For starters, the bread was old and dry, the wine collections was limited, and they did not have beef on a Friday at dinner time. Bad administration, nothing to blame to the waitress m, she was nice and delicate. Shame on the local. Not going back any time soon.
Unfortunately, our experience was not nearly as positive as in the past. While the portions were generous, the entrees took a very long time to come out, and the quality of the food was not up to par. I also presented a certificate for tax exemption since this was a work dinner associated with a non-profit institution. The certificate was not honored and there was no communication from the server to indicate that the bill would not be adjusted. We also ended up paying a very high fee for water that was too frozen to use until the end of the meal. This could have been an “off” night. If not, I’m very sad to see this decline.
Unfortunately, I will have to recommend to my colleagues that take university business elsewhere.
Very good. Outstanding value.
Was out of some items that we wanted to order. Ambient could have been better - looking out on street were others are walking by looking in on the guests. Really good desert.
The food is decent but nothing special. We ordered cod fish (bacalao) in 3 different cooking styles and none was "delicious". Wines from Portugal are usually very good especially the Vinho Verde and the Alvarinho varieties, but the ones we had at the restaurant were ordinary. The ambience is pleasant (former Romeu restaurant) and service was courteous.
Nice atmosphere, great service and authentic delicious food, great to share with friends and family
Food quality went down. I moved out Miami and stayed 1 year without come back. Really disappointed with the quality of the food. The Arroz de Mariscos was pretty bad and dry. Bacalhau dried also.
The food was excellent and portions were ample. The service was unparalleled!!!!!
Thank you for giving us a perfect rating and for recommending our restaurant!!!
Amazing food and pleasant service. Will return multiple times!
Great food, great ambiance, I will have to go again to try other dishes that seemed to be good as well. It’s certainly a repeat for me!
Quaint restaurant with authentic Portuguese food. The wine list is superb with lots of great wines from Portugal. Even the sparkling water was from Portugal and it was the best I’ve ever had!
The food was very good, all the dishes that were ordered were delicious . The service was right on point and the wine that was recommended was delicious.
Octopus is amazing!
Good service....facilities need attention....
But, the food was great!
One of the best on Coral Way and service is exceptional.
I enjoyed the Chicken Skewers with Rice and the flair of seasonings was incredibly good.
The Shrimp in Garlic is also a favorite and while usually I like the Croquettes of Bacalo, this time they were dry and a bit tough. Nice and original wines well priced and a great place to enjoy a meal. Enjoy!
We visited for the first time and had a very enjoyable meal. The Grilled sardines and baby clams were very good. Our server (a young lady from Venezuela) was very accommodating. We will return
i realy sueprise about the quality of the food is not the same very poor.
Great selection of bacalao and other seafood dishes. Very cozy atmosphere.
The food is amazing! We went for a birthday party and had a great time
Lovely little restaurant with authentic Portuguese food.Service exceptional.
La comida estuvo fatal, secaron el pescado y los acompañamientos sabían a congelados. No lo recomiendo para nada.
Excellent and thrilled this place is still going strong. Needed a late lunch place and I have always been a fan of Oporto and with two discerning close friends that wanted quiet with good food...Oporto was my choice.
Shrimp dishes all around which were fresh and excellent. Wine choice by our server was on point and still the very best Codfish croquets. Nice afternoon will definitely return, Enjoy!
Very generous portion. good cost x benefit. Wonderful codfish. Friendly service. I recommend.
A fully satisfying and delightful experience in a classical setting with very good food and attentive, well trained staff.
Food is GREAT. The waitinstaFF ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
Excellent food and attentive friendly service. A cozy and warm atmosphere. Will return and recommend highly.
My wife and I dined at Oporto Cafe on Saturday evening. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I go to Portugal every summer and the food was authentic. Delicious!
Excellent attention by Angie the waiter. She is very kindly and very professional.
Our first time dining in a Portuguese restaurant, it was recommended by a family friend, and it lived up ours expectations and more, awesome Portuguese food. All dishes were very good and tasteful, specially the grilled octopus.
We went for Mother’s Day and we were a party of 8 plus my 1 year old. We were sat promptly, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I would definitely come back and recommend it.
The warm, friendly and professional staff, along with great food and a charming atmosphere, made this a special Mother’s Day! Try the garlic shrimp!
If you like Cod (Bacalao), the salted dried fish so popular in Portugal and Italy and throughout Latin-America, you must go to this restaurant because they prepare it 100 different ways. Not really, but MANY different ways. And all we tried were delicious. Other items on the menu are probably good too, but we stuck to bacalao this time.
The restaurant is nicely appointed and the location is convenient, very close to Coral Gables with plenty of street parking. The service was wonderful, friendly and professional. They have a good wine list, very moderately priced.
We will be back!
This is a very good restaurant, not pretentious, nothing extravagant, just a clean and friendly place where you get good food and quality service while having a good conversation and a glass of good wine
