Unfortunately our server was absolutely horrific. Other than that everything was great - food was amazing and it's a gorgeous spot.
I was ready to drop a couple hundred on a great bottle of champagne...I asked the server for suggestions and she acted like I asked her what she weighed or something! Said she didn't drink champagne and knew nothing about it other than what's on the list. I ordered a bottle off the menu and it took about 45 minutes to come!!! The table next to us complained about her - so it wasn't just us!
I could continue to tell stories about the waitress but I will leave it at that.
The service that our party received was probably the worst service I ever received in America. Not only was the waitress rude, but also they didn’t give us the utensils until AFTER the food has arrived. My friend wanted a lemonade, and we waited 20 min for that lemonade, and it took 3 waiters to get it. One waiter even commented on their poor service and what they have turned into. Unbelievable!!! Never again!
I've been here before when it was under different management. The restaurant continues to be one of my favorite places -- decor, super fresh menu, great cocktails and attentive service. Reservations are absolutely necessary.
Service friendly but a bit scattered. Ordered bread but it never arrived. Burger was good but nothing I have t had before. Not everyone like an overload of cinnamon in their catsup. The shrimp and crab salad was lovely and the duck confit pasta really good.
Lovely greenhouse-like pace with great light and good design. The food is good and nicely plated: I recommend the vegetable pasta, which came perfectly cooked, spiced and the right temperature while the salmon dish was too lukewarm. We had an issue with getting the wrong appetizer and then needed to wait a little too long for the ordered item so I think we should have been offered the item we did not order too! BUt a nice place to have a meal or drinks nonetheless!

Waited about 20 mins even we had a reservation.
I enjoyed the food well enough. The portion didn't seem as big as the waiter implied but it satisfied. Mimosas also weren't as strong and the staff not as attentive to keeping the glass full compared to other bottomless experiences I've had. I do love the inside and overall look. It's ideal to book reservations for inside if you can. I would go again with a few minor improvements.
The restaurant is beautiful however the food for me was just OK and the endless mimosas could have been better.

A delightful green oasis in the midst of noisy Los Angeles. Spectacular and creative vegetarian and vegan options. Wait staff were well versed in food and our person clearly had tasted the menu and was able to make informed recommendations --which in our party of three was appreciated. Things like the mushrooms with the charred eggplant puree were spectacular. One of our party hails from a cooking family -- i.e. published cookbooks and more.... and had nothing but compliments for the chef. Speaking of which, even if you are full -don't pass up dessert.... the blackberry tart, the mint ice cream...... Really. Even if you just get one thing and share. Don't miss it. Thank you to Openaire. We will be back.
The ambience, the service, the location all were perfect. Overpriced for tiny portions, but the food was excellent. If you’re hungry expect to spend some money. If you’re a snacker and don’t mind spending, this is your hipster joint.

Romantic evening with my hubby. Great wait staff, healthy and exotic cuisine. Main dishes need a little more tweaking. Steak was excellent but sauces too harsh. Price Fix wonderful....

My Fiance and I came here for brunch on Sunday at 10:30 am, it was the perfect time because about 30 minutes after we arrived it was crowded. The food was good, we did the entree with the unlimited cart which was the best part of the meal. The orange juice tasted like concentrate and it was $6 with no refills, I barely drank half of it. When we got the bill there were 3 different kinds of tax added to the bill. There was a healthcare tax, a tourism tax, and an SCV tax. The meal was good but I was expecting the total to be $100 with tip (maybe) not $100 total not including tip. The unlimited was $39 per person with a $6 Orange Juice and $4 Pepsi with free refills. Then towards the end of the meal, we waited and waited to get our bill but our server was nowhere to be found. It was a good experience but the tax at the end of the meal left a bad taste in my mouth.
It was out first time being here, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent the ambiance was great.

The first time I came to open air it was OUTSTANDING but this time around the service was lacking and we only spoke to our waiter twice. We decided to do the option with bottomless drinks, cart, and an entre, which would have been a good deal if we had gotten more than one drink each.
Will still come back and hope it was like the first time around!
Openaire is a MUST. Such great service and experience. Totally worth the money.
Lovely from start to finish - from making the reservation to modifying it to the great service and quality of food.
I would recommend Openaire only because it is a beautiful space and it's Koreatown location is a great alternative to the usual LA foodie haunts. I have been twice within a month and want to like it - BUT - their cocktail and entree servings leave you feeling like you didn't get quite the value for your money. On both visits I was happy with the flavor of my meals, but the portions are small and I don't want to HAVE TO order bread (yes, you have to order it for $5.50) and fill up on it to feel satisfied when I leave.
Got here alittle before my rsvp time, host greeted and seated us on time. All the waiters were nice and friendly. Came for brunch and i've been here before when it was the Commisary. Atmosphere and vibe was chill and cool as before. I got the frosted flakes french toast because I am a french toast lover. It was really yummy, but after a while it got way too sweet for me. $13 was a very good price to me. My friend got the chicken waffle and let me say the waffle was way overprice for what it was and the taste was not within the price point. The waffle was way too doughy and chewy. Chicken was tasty, but ya'll need to work on your waffles. It is not edible! The egg bendict was good but I got the smoked salmon on top which to me was a bit too salty and overpowering, i didn't enjoy it. I love the decor and hanging plants as usual. Besides that i don't think there's anything too special about the menu.
We arrived 1/2 early right when the restaurant opened at 5:30 and hostess wouldn’t seat us early. She said all the tables were full (even though our table was supposedly to be available at 6pm). Made no sense. So we ate our dinner at a communal table while half the tables were empty. Clearly just had no interest in accommodating a change.
Great meal. Beautiful room, but right next to hotel pool so the view might be distracting.
Our table reservation was incorrect when we arrived so we had to kind of scramble when we got there, but past that everything else was fine. Inside the greenhouse is much louder so keep that in mind when booking tables.
Loved the food! Some amazing, fresh choices! Portions are a bit small considering the price, however... everything was EXCEPTIONALLY delicious!

This place also has some strange surcharges... lol... I’ve never before seen a tax on any of my restaurant bills for “healthcare!” Don’t know what that’s about but be aware of it when calculating gratuity!
Great spot, you don’t feel like your in the city at all. The greenhouse architecture is stunning and the atmosphere relaxing. Only con is the pricing is steep for the small portion sizes.
Nothing fancy about this place. Friendly but not around service, prices are quite high for what they serve. Be prepared for. 4% tax for healthcare services and an $11.00 valet cost of which includes a 1% city tax. Just too much cost for just above average food. They also charged $5.00 for still water that came in a flask which could have sinply been filtered. Again, way too much extra charge for what you get. Can’t recommend.
So glad we randomly stumbled upon this gem! Openaire was outstanding in every category- professional and friendly service, beautiful indoor and outdoor seating with a view of an impressive church, and well done menu with several vegetarian options. We had the “power lunch” with the pea tendrils and casarecce pasta. The pea tendrils with the shiitake “bacon” were beautifully presented. The sun dried tomato-almond pesto was fantastic- perfect flavors, everything complimentary and nothing overpowering. Everything tasted SO fresh like came straight from the garden, light and flavorful. Definitely will come back to try Openaire for dinner.

Food was unique and delicious. The noise level was really high and I would not recommend going with a large party more than 2 people.
I was really excited to come to this place after I learned that Josiah Citrin took over. The setting is amazing! Great for a date or just hanging out with friends. The food was fabulous and the brunch with unlimited food items from a cart was a great idea. I had the waffle and chicken and I like the idea of making it a healthier version. My sister had the smoked salmon Benedict and nothing special about it but my sister enjoyed it. The different appetizers with yogurt and parfaits in tiny cups are a great touch. We were able to try the avocado toast, oysters (so good), healthy version of a smoked salmon sandwich, and the different parfaits- the chia seed with fresh berries was also delicious. Our wait staff (two different ones) were very gracious and polite- they didn’t rush us even though a big private party was starting to set up- thank you Patrick and whoever relieved you! The only reason I did not give this place a perfect score was because of my encounter with the hostess and manager. The hostess called me at 11:30am on the day of my reservation to say that they cannot seat me and my party in the greenhouse just as I requested and confirmed a week prior. I asked why I was not called sooner about this and she apologized but I persisted on wanting to be seated in the green house. She then explained that she could talk to her manager to allow us to sit inside but we have to be out by 3pm. I agreed and even said we will try to get there sooner (my reservation was at 2pm). Thirty minutes later, the manager called me and said he couldn’t seat us in the green house at all in spite of my previous conversation with the hostess. He explained that a private event has been booked at 3pm and they can only seat us at the pool- I was devastated and frustrated. I’m sure they did not intend to make my life difficult but my only request was to inform me sooner. I also know Josiah but didn’t even bother to explain that to feel important.

Sooooo much potential. Food amazing, service, meh. Server super friendly and nice so it wasn’t an attitude thing it was just sloooooow. Slow to get drinks, slow to get drinks offered to be reordered. Had to flag server down to order apps and had to ask server assistant to have server come over and take dinner order. Once order was in we did not see server until our last dishes were done. No check back. It was a celebration and we did more work to get food (and revenue) on the table then the staff did. Our three top was $230 pre gratuity
