One Trick Pony is a neighborhood wine bar, bottle shop and restaurant nestled in the green leafy community of Fitzroy North. Upstairs, you will find a contemporary Australian menu with dishes informed by the seasons. Here all the tables have a view of the open kitchen, with our roaming cocktail trolley, and local landmarks hand-painted on the walls.
While you are always welcome to stroll in, we recommend reserving a table to secure your spot.
We offer dinner 6 nights a week and our booking times start at 5pm. Saturday & Sunday we offer lunch from 12-3pm.

I've been here a few times. The menu changes often so you know you're dining seasonally. Food is delicious. Service the perfect amount of attentive. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. Looking forwards to returning to this neighbourhood gem!

Group of 3 people … shared multiple items from the menu - all delicious and wonderfully all gluten free given we had someone with Coeliac Disease in the group. Great atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Highly recommend.

We had the set menu and the food was super tasty and well spaced. Service was attentive and excellent, special Pinot was also delicious. Highly recommended

Definitely a must try! The food was incredible and server was super friendly, I’ll absolutely be coming back! By no means a deterrent but figured it’s worth mentioning, I was a little disappointed that I was sat downstairs when the booking system gave me the option to select a seating option and I chose upstairs (seems strange to offer if you can’t deliver) I’m pretty easy going so didn’t bother to make a fuss considering it looked busy. All in all a great dinner & just wanted to leave this as food for thought those in control of bookings/the booking system

Beautiful local wine bar with lots of charm. Fantastic knowledgeable staff recommended a great bottle of wine. Chef’s menu was delicious.

Wine list a little too cool for school and our rump cap was very tough. It’s a lovely space and some of the other menu items were tasty so not all lost but won’t be rushing back.
