Om Nom at the Adelphi Hotel in the Melbourne is a stylish and contemporary restaurant and bar that specializes in delectable bites and gourmet desserts, all of which achieve their goal in delighting the senses. Popular items from Om Nom's grazing menu include the flat iron steak with caramelized soy sauce, the fried goat's cheese with sage, honey and toasted almonds, the seared scallops with miso emulsion and dashi jelly and the slow-cooked lamb cannoli with tabbouleh and tzatziki foam, all of which are tapas-style. Daily breakfast is just as mouth-watering, with plates including the toasted banana bread with bacon, maple syrup and mascarpone and the savory waffle with prosciutto, gruyere cheese, anchovy and hollandaise sauce.
Try to save room for Om Nom's desserts, which are crafted by executive pastry chef Jo Ward. The irresistible Om Nom choc-nut-bomb chocolate parfait with chewy peanut caramel is a top choice.
Dessert portion was very small for the price it charged and taste is ok not something to rave about. Was disappointed that being 3 people dining we are asked to share a small 2 people table when the restaurant was not busy during that night when we dined.
Fantastic Desserts and Great Service. Would come back again and recommend that if you come with a party everyone order something different to try. You really can’t go wrong with any of them and need to try a bit of everything.
We had a wonderful time at Om Nom Kitchen.
Most of us had heard great things about the experience, & we were not disappointed!!
A couple of us, were very excited to be returning to Om Noms!!
Each Desert & Cocktail was a work of art & imagination! Our hosts answered all our queries, & the service was friendly & efficient.
Om Noms is Definitely a place to put on your “must do one day soon” list. Thanks to the whole team for a great night.
Yesterday we enjoyed high tea for my birthday at Om Nom at the Adelphi and it didn't disappoint. Very fancy!! The food was beautiful and great presentation. Service impeccable. I was also extremely thankful at the care they gave my daughter who is severely anaphylactic to nuts-she did not miss out.
A very memorable experience, like no other
Dessert. cocktails and staff are fantastic. Well worth it.
Great dessert but poor service on this visit. We've been here many times, usually greeted and enjoy good, attentive and polite service but on this occasion we were served by three different wait staff who seemed disinterested and barely smiled.
A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Wonderful food and wine, attentive and friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.
This is my 2nd time. Food didn’t disappoint however the service and theatre I received wasn’t as special as the first time. Love the cocktails list and choice of desserts but wish the sitting time was a little longer. Felt very rushed.
Really enjoyed my experience at OmNom, had the dessert degustation and the flavours were amazing!!! Would highly recommend.
Our visit to Om Nom was perfect. From the attentive (but not in your face) staff, through to the perfect desserts that presented to us, we couldn’t fault it. Love, love, loved it!
Good looking dessert that taste as good as it looks. Really enjoyed the night out.
I love this place but my friend and I felt very hustled to order and get out. I know it's an hour booking but instead of enjoying our drinks and food we were hassled every 5 minutes from the moment we were seated and had multiple waiters tell us to hurry as they needed the table. I didn't even have time to finish my drink. Won't be back anymore I'm afraid. An hour just is not long enough.
Om Nom did not disappoint! Beautiful food, beautiful presentation and delightful service.
AMAZING If you haven’t been then go. You must experience Om Nom at least once in your life.
We went mid week to sample the dessert degustation menu. The staff were great. They went the extra mile. The food was extremely well presented and a surprising change from the norm. Let’s face it, where else can you turn up after 10pm for dessert degustation, and be well received and pampered? Thanks.
The cocktails and desserts are all amazing!! Allyson is really nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She’s such a jolly Person! Will definitely come back.
Absolutely amazing food. Beautifully presented.
Amazing desserts that can only be classified as art! We could not be happier with our dining experience.
We had the lunch special which was perfect for lunch. The meals weren’t large but they were delicious. So many elements and the desserts were Devine. We would loved to have had a cocktail also but they don’t do them before 5pm. Really great place, we will be back.
Amazing desserts, very beautiful to look at
Would be nice to have cocktails available all day
Fantastic venue - awesome service, awesome food - 2nd time visiting, just as great again! Highly recommended.
Amazing food, inspiring menu that delivered in appearance and taste. The service was excellent and we’ll be going back for sure
Amazing dinner experience for the birthday of my best friend !
I've been to Om Nom twice now and both times it has been exquisite. The dessert menu items are all sensational, theatrical and whimsical, and the waiters and waitresses are highly knowledgeable about all of them. The cocktails are brilliant- the Summer G&T is refreshing and sweet, and the Ladies Night Out is everything a girl could ask for!
Great restaurant for special occasions not much for vegans. The cocktails and sweets are superb.
After going here 6 months ago and having the very best service and experience I was totally disappointed on Saturday night. Firstly I booked a 90 minute dinner but the restaurant only had us booked in for 60 mins, I had proof but they didn't want to look at it as they had someone booked in straight after us. It was a special occasion, we had come from NZ for the weekend to celebrate my partners birthday, when we arrived our table wasn't ready and the people on it were moved off it for us, then we sat ignored for about 10 minutes, nothing like the wonderful experience I had on my previous visit where the waiter was engaging and entertaining. We had to ask for menus and then when the waitress returned she asked for our food order, we had to ask for a cocktail menu and explained we would like to start with that. A different waiter took our order which was beef cheeks for a main and a caramel Espresso cocktail I'd had last time & loved. This visit when the cocktail came out and she tipped the liquid nitrogen over it very fast, and there was no interaction with us, no experience, just fast like we needed to hurry up. Our mains arrived and to say they were tiny is polite, our $29 beef cheek mains was on an entree sized plate & was very small......very tasty but not enough for a main serving, we said we might need to order more she said we wouldn't have time as our table was booked....I looked confused and said we would want desert as a minimum and she had to go ask the manager who informed me we had only booked and hour we could still get desert but would have to move to the bar. Just gutted and disappointed that the one place I wanted to take my partner to dinner was turning into the biggest disappointment. we ordered desert and they arrived quickly by yet another waiter who at least explained the food and was polite and friendly. we felt pressured to quickly scoff down desert and leave. Compared to my last visit where I left 5 stars 10 /10 rating this sucked
The high tea was amazing! The savoury dishes were inventive and the sweets out of this world. The two cocktails we had were theatrical and tasty and the service was great. Would definantly go back!
The food was very good with the exception of the "main course" which was cold and greasy. To give them credit they replaced it immediately and didn't charge, which was a good response, still it shouldn't have happened in the first place!
The best High Tea in Melbourne
Dined for the dessert degustation, fantastic value for money and absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared desserts.
Service was wonderful very informative and friendly also very accommodating when i felt unwell, allowing us to move up the front for some fresh air and dine by the window.
A lovely modern high tea, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive.
A thoroughly enjoyable pre theatre dinner and drinks venue. Staff were super helpful and made sure that our meals came out promptly and well in time for us to get to our show. The food was deliciously creative. Looking forward to our next visit.
Booked for 2 for valentines dessert.
Great experience, friendly staff who offered just the right amount of attentive service (not over the top).
Desserts are beautifully presented but kind of pricey so I would only come here for a special occasion.
At the end of our meal, the waiter/host also gave me a rose and a chocolate to take away which he was a nice touch.
We were really looking forward to the Dessert degustation experience which did not disappoint however the standard of service for the price of the experience needs improvement.
Basic service standards were not met, for example, tea served without a teaspoon or serviette, water glasses were not refilled, new plates were bought out before old ones were cleared, we asked for some hot water to be brought out as the tea was quite strong by the end, which never came.
There was too little room for the waiting staff to move between tables and hence we had to move our chairs a few times and table once. On a few occasions an unoccupied chair at our table was either knocked or pushed over.
The food was amazing but incredibly little on the plate which left us 'hungry' whilst the price for the dishes were steep. Definitely poor value for money. Is it really that difficult to serve a little more on the plates?!
The staff were busy talking amongst each other rather than being attentive to the diners, so we were waiting quite a long time to order and pay.
The place looks nice, the ambiance was wonderful, the food was amazing, the space, the staff, and the portion sizes could do with improvement.
The food presentation was unique, creative and a wonderful take on 'high tea'. It was light and delicious. It didn't have the traditional scones and sandwiches, but still had the savoury and sweet elements with lovely flavour punch.
I did enjoy the atmosphere but feel it is all is a bit overrated . Have had better, more traditional high teas elsewhere but that’s not to say I had a bad time but nothing to rave about . A bit too dark and gloomy for me
Great night! Food was amazing and cocktails were visually great. Sight overuse of liquid nitrogen. Would defiantly recommend to others!
We wanted something special to finish our holiday in Melbourne; Om Nom hit the spot on all levels - food, service and atmosphere. We had a memorable night tasting some incredibly delicious food. The menu is thoughtful, inspired & creative...raspberry aioli with fries??? It all just works!! All the staff were excellent but a particularly passionate bartender who was making these masterpiece cocktails really caught my eye even though i was sitting on the other side of the room.
