His name Jurney
Food was cold
Service was good but food was not had reservation was
Food was very bland - not what we expected for $30+ entrees. We sat outside along the River and trail which was nice. But the food was very disappointing, even Olive Garden has more flavor.
Dropping our son back off to college and never miss a chance to visit Oliverio’s when we’re in town! Always delicious food, great service and lovely atmosphere. This is our favorite restaurant in Morgantown. Will be back every time we are in town!
Table was ready and we were served quickly.
The place was crowded to me, if it wasn’t for the food being good, I would not have stayed.
Nice atmosphere, good service. Excellent chicken parm and lasagna. Bread and salads were good too. I’ll be back.
it’s so dark!! I could barely read the menu. food was great. our waitress was nice, and it was busy, but the food took about 40 minutes and our drinks were only refilled once and we were there for over two hours (unintentionally)
We arrived at 6:28 for our 6:30 reservation and were seated at 7pm. There was no apology just that they were busy. The food was mediocre-burnt bread, an unseasoned wedding soup. The waitress was kind.
Fantastic for new years eve...they made it a point to seat us at 8:28 since our reservation was for 8:30...our waitress was terrific even though we were their last reservation...my wife had the italian trio and I had the veal parmagiana...bread sticks are great
Granted it was new years Eve but an15 minutes to get the salad and another 40+ minutes for the main course. Food was fine my ravioli was not hot but acceptably warm. The server was nice and kept the water glasses full but the overall operation was below my expectations and this has been a common experience over the three times I have eaten here.
Perfect way to share an evening with my brother and soon to be sister-in-law!
We took our son to Oliverio’s to celebrate his graduation from WVU. Everyone has delicious meals, and the desserts were divine. The bad part was the place was packed with other folks celebrating too. So understandably, we had to wait for our table even with a reservation, service was a bit slow, and it was very loud with every table full. We would definitely go again, but perhaps not on graduation day.
Annual Christmas Family Dinner
Great location. Fantastic food. Best lasagna. Great value.
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We will go back!
Our party of 9 for parents' weekend was served quickly and the food was delicious. Everyone liked what they ordered. Great Italian fare!
Great spot down by the river. Upscale experience yet affordable. Highly recommend for special occasion or date night.
Excellent food and service.
We had reservations and arrived on time to only be told we would have to wait 45 minutes. Excuses were given that made no sense about people walking in before us without reservations. Every person that came in after us had reservations and were told the same thing. One family was told they would have to wait 1 hour with their reservation. What is the point of making a reservation if the restaurant doesn’t bother to either honor or just doesn’t care. The hostess had a terrible attitude and didn’t even seem to be bothered other than making ridiculous excuses. If it weren’t Parents Weekend we would have walked out. We made reservations months in advance to avoid the wait on a busy weekend. We are from the NJ/NY area and have never had this issue not would this kind of service ever happen. To top it off, my husband’s entree never came out. The kitchen forgot about it. The only nice part of our experience is that we had a waiter who was very nice and had to apologize constantly. Felt bad for him. Rest assured we will never be back to this restaurant and will not recommend it.
I had a party of 6 and when we arrived, so did everyone else and this must have over whelmed the kitchen. The food came out slow. Though it was good minus mine being dried out from sitting under a lamp, it took way to long. The waiter was top notch and was clearly frustraited at the timing as well. He saved the night from me walking out.
Birthday Always great food and service and atmosphere
This was our 2nd time coming here, the first time was great, this time was exquisite. Katie (our waitress) was cordial and highly knowledgeable about the wine list (Abstract is fantastic if you are interested). The ambiance is fantastic and is appropriate for either a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary or a family of four having a nice dinner out. Overall, this is probably the best restaurant in Morgantown. If you like something a little spicy and are not a vegetarian give Diablo a try. We will be return customers for the duration of our time in Morgantown, give it a shot and you will likely return as well.
Very loud..steak was not cooked properly, would go back to try again
We ordered the sausage stuffed pepper as an appetizer; it was delicious. It was a bit spicy, so if you don’t like spicy things I’d not recommend it. We ordered three entrees. The first was the, Chicken Diablo, which was delicious. Like the pepper it was a bit spicy. The second entree was the Stuffed Shells, which was also delicious. The third entree was the, Chicken Marsala. First, we were brought Chicken Parmigiana, so it had to go back meaning one of us was left without their meal, or two of us would have to wait and eat our meals cold. The waitress was very apologetic and offered a free desert for the mistake. When the correct meal arrived they brought it in two halves. First came the steamed vegetables and then a few minutes later the Chicken Marsala arrived. Mind you, the two of us who had received our meals were already done eating, so not the nice dinner experience we were expecting. Anyhow, the Marsala was awful. It tasted like no Marsala we’d ever had before. In fact I’d describe it as very salty and tasting more like Asian dish, Vice Italian. We took them up on the offer for the “one” free desert and chose the cannoli, which was very good.
We chose Oliverios to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was great. The waiter was great. Our seating experience was lacking but hey... It was a nice meal, a pleasant experience, and a wonderful day!
Experience there was so-so. With a party of four, two entrees were good but the other two were not good. The shared calamari appetizer was inedible as it tasted like fried rubber bands. There was a large party near us with children which made it hard to talk. The server did give us a discount of half of the meal that one guest could not eat.
We had a very enjoyable dinner with special friends at Oliverio’s in Morgantown. One of our “go to” dining options in North Central WV.
I’m visiting Morgantown from up East, so I had yet to find a good restaurant in the area! Finally I came across Oliverios and was blown away! The best Italian food I had around here! This is now my go to spot down here! Delicious
Excellent service and food
Very relaxing at oliverios.. all was perfect
A group of 7 of us went here for Father's Day at a very slow time. It took well over an hour to receive our dinners. Four of the seven had to send their dinners back because the food was cold. One of our group found a piece of plastic in the noodles that they were eating for dinner. Overall, the experience was not very good. This was our first time eating here and it will probably be our last.
Great place , my girl was impressed . Great device , waiters are super friendly and fast . Highly recommended
first time at this place......food was very tasty.......enjoyable
So glad you enjoyed! Thanks for taking the time to post a review!
Good overall experience. Service could had been a little better but food and atmosphere were great.
