Great food and ambience. The steak was magnificently cooked, so tender and flavourful, portably one of the best we have had! Service was really top notch too.
We stayed at the hotel and expected the restaurant to be as good as the hotel - it wasn’t. The pricey fig and prosciutto salad was one cut up fig with a tiny bit of prosciutto. The salmon and the pork were both over overcooked and very dry. We complained but still paid for it. The server tried her best but the whole experience was all optics and little substance - it was extremely disappointing.

Excellent venue and service but the food was just average. We’ve eaten there before and the meal was outstanding, we were a little disappointed this time.

Evening meal in great location on the water. We had a great waiter who was very attentive and looked after us for the evening
Excellent food, good variety, bit noisy right next to the kitchen, very slow drink service.
Waiters were sloppy, not well presented, did not know who had ordered which meal.
Meals were not well described eg chowder was not as expected. Chicken dish underwhelming. This was our 3rd visit and probably won’t be back

Amazing service, delicious food. This was such a wonderful dining experience. The Iced Vovo dessert is to die for. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to Hobart.

Did appreciate been told to eat desert in lounge before 8pm when we booked to 8:30.I refused to east in lounge Was very rude service. Never returning again with bad service

Fresh and full of flavours
This was my second experience of dining at Old Wharf and came back because the first one was so good.
Staff very welcoming and efficient and food was very good.
I will definitely be returning.
We went for anniversary dinner and the restaurant went the extra mile to reserve a quiet table by the window for us. The service was amazing! We love every moment from the start till desert. Definitely highly recommended !
I never do reviews but I’ll go out of my way to say that our experience at the Old Wharf was stunning! The vegan option was soooo delicious and everything else was spot on!
Was underwhelmed by the menu but the food was really so much better than expected. Really enjoyed the goat's cheese tart and the minute steak was beautifully cooked.

We had a lovely evening at The Old Wharf. The setting is great and we had a good table on the window to take advantage of the dock views. The service was generally very good except that it took a very long time to get our drinks before the meal. The food was fresh and delicious and we will definitely return.

Very pleasant evening catching up with family from interstate. Staff were very welcoming and anxious to please. Table was roomy, chairs comfortable and the restaurant was not noisy.

Was asked to vacate our table 1 hour and 40mins into our 3 course meal for our wedding anniversary....For the next guest who wasn’t even there. Very unprofessional. Poor staff training?

Our reservations are allocated a two-hour sitting from the time of reservation and, unfortunately, a late arrival can impact the time at the table. While this is communicated in the online reservations process, I do apologise if you did not feel it was clear. A/C was not working I was told as we all were very warm in the evening sun.
Could of done with a little background music, probably too quiet.
We had a sensational evening out for dinner.
Complimentary champagne for my birthday and the food was amazing.
We have booked a game in January for ourselves and Friends.

All the restaurant needs is a wider range of menu options to encourage locals to return on a regular basis PLUS a wider range of wines as well.

Amazing food and service. Couldn't fault it. We were so full we had to have dessert delivered to our room later that night. Loved it!!

The staff were very welcoming, attentive, and super-efficient. The food was delicious, the Tasmanian salmon had the crispiest skin and the flesh was firm but soft and moist with the tastiest sauce. Accompanied by the freshest sugar snap and snow peas in a lemon yoghurt dressing, which complimented the salmon dish very well. My partner had a serving of the Tasmanian seafood chowder which container the freshest mussels, scallops, flathead, bacon in a creamy style of chowder, describes as a delicious meal, this was accompanied by the house salad, covered in a tangy balsamic dressing. The meal was finished off by sharing a rich sticky date pudding with a salted brandy ice cream, very rich and authentic in its flavour.
