At Old Wharf, we stand in the historical location of former jetties, piers, homes and taverns from where, since the 1800s colourful traders, merchandisers, exporters and explorers have shipped Tassie’s renowned produce across the globe.

Chef Simon Pockran and his team acknowledge this history by creating a menu that celebrates and explores Tasmania’s traditional family dishes. Reimagined and refined, this menu gives the nod to our past while championing our celebrated produce and boutique Tasmania growers.

Lovely night out. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious- every dish ordered was fantastic, uniquely delicious. Menu was a little hard to read with the low lighting and smaller font, but the level of lighting was pleasant. Would recommend and would love to return for other occasions

Friendly service from the very helpful waitress. Food was nice. Can I suggest wrapping chicken legs ends in aluminium foil for people who like to get the meat off the bone or some finger bowls. Ambience and location much appreciated. Would highly recommend the place.

Food was delicious, prices good, lots of space and good atmosphere for conversation with a group of 6 people. The service was a bit lacking, somewhat slow to approach to offer drinks and then didn't return to check in for almost 15 minutes after asking for a moment to think. Sides were placed on the table with no serving utensils and when we requested some we were initially provided with a single spoon, before asking for more, it was a bit comical really.

What a lovely place to dine. Our hostess was Melissa, she was amazing and so much fun....even lent us her glasses to read the menu because we forgot ours! The food was fabulous with an amazing selection of wines to match. The ambiance of the restaurant is suitable for a romantic dinner or birthday celebration with different seating areas, all with lovely views of the harbour. We will definitely be back here when next we travel to Hobart.
