Great place with a great vibe. Cocktail list is so extensive we just asked for advice, which the staff are more than happy and capable to give. Only feedback is that the website has a lot of diffrent food photographs which are not at all indicative of what's on offer. I booked because the food looked light and fresh, but the actual menu is heavy - think cheese and carbs. It's delicious, just not what I was expecting based on the website.

Service was fabulous and the oysters exceptional. Would have liked a white sparkling wine on the menu rather than only French champagne as I’m a sparkling wine drinker.

Great fitout, fairly comfortable seating, limited wine list but picked a very good wine (a bit higher than usual price range). Only has 2 plates of food, but really delicious. Busy the whole time from opening.

I brought my paterner her for her Birthday. I found the cocktails small food ofereings and service outstanding. The ambience and interior design was excellent and made us feel like we were back in Europe.

Was celebrating my Birthday there. Awesome place! Great interior, super cozy, intimate and with a perfect music choice it's vibing! The cocktails are great, the oysters are awesome, and the food is very very nice. Stuff is friendly and attentive. Thanks for the evening! We had a company of 6, and it worked perfectly

Average food and service, reasonable cocktails but had much better. At these prices at least have hand cut clear large blocks of ice for your cocktails not ones i’d get at a mediocre bar.

Loved the vibe, need to know entry the drink's and wait staff were fantastic. I wanted to give it an overall great rating but the food was simply awful and therefore the value for money came into consideration when rating. We all love exotic flavours and funky food so for this group to leave the food on plates is saying something. Such a shame and you need yum food to mop up the fantastic cocktails and great wine list and drink more. Sorry I wanted to love it

Fantastic combination of chilled atmosphere, amazing food and variety of beverages along with excellent service from enthusiastic staff. Ginny’s Canoe Club is a definite must visit on the Sydney scene!

I am so sad to be writing this as Old Mates Place is my favourite bar so thought GCC would be an awesome addition to that. To start the place was freezing, the plants were literally blowing in the wind next to me. But im presuming the aircon was on so high because of all the smoke from the kitchen that would gather in the restaurant. The food was terrible, not at all at the elevated level that can be seen on their instagram page. And definitely not worth $18 per taco. Corn chips tasted stale, and fillings of tacos were worse than what you would eat at a takeaway joint. Food also took ages to come out, a total of 2 hours for a few tacos and sides. Staff felt nervous and unsure about what they were doing. But friendly. Overall so disappointing :(

Definitely be back, only popped in for a few drinks before a show, so we didn't eat, but had to put a star to move on to review, might want to change that, Staff were awesome

Wanted to try a new venue. Came with high expectations given the hype about the team behind it. Unfortunately it was a miss. My wife and I booked dinner for two, but we were seated at the bar rather than a table. It is a narrow bar that can only just fit a small plate and a glass. We were in the corner of the bar, which was just beneath a speaker and next to the spot where the staff most liked to stand and talk loudly amongst themselves. In fairness, when I asked to be moved, we were given a large group table after our entrees. But we had to be out quickly ahead of their group reservation. Might be okay for a large group happy to shout at each other, but not a great experience for a couple. We finished up and walked the 50 metres to Lobo for post dinner drinks.
