Really friendly staff, amazing service and great food!
Kind and helpful sevice...........................
Very good value for money. Lovely ambiance until it became very busy, when one of my friends became quite anxious as the number of diners inside made it difficult to social-distance. We were given complimentary glasses of Prosecco as one of us wasn’t entirely happy with his choice of mains when asked how his meal was. But overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Thank you.
Upon checking my bill . It seems I was overcharged . I should of had 50% of my mains . This is was not added on . So ended up paying more .
Great staff and food. Scotch egg and Rib eye steak was amazing
We had a great meal in this smart restaurant. Great atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. As they are continuing with their own Eat Out to Help Out deal our evening was fantastic value too.
We had a birthday in the group and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Excellent service, good wine selection and the food was fantastic. Good atmosphere, even for a Monday night! Comfortable and clean surroundings. 5 stars!
Fantastic food, ambience and service. The value is also amazing. Thank you very much for a wonderful lunch.
They had a wide range of cocktails on their menu but sadly the waitress was unable to help me with the choices (since she was new), but also did not get someone else to help me choose a cocktail. Three people served us at different times and they barely checked in to see if we were doing okay. The food was pretty good, so no complaints there. Service could be better.
Always very friendly staff and a great vibe! Great selection of cocktails.
The fried chicken burger I ordered was really salty and was far too much mayonnaise.
I would also question the vigilance of the social distancing, as to go to the toilet there were people sitting at the bar which meant I was very close to them and the people really were shouting over the noise which made me feel uneasy.
I have been before though and really enjoyed it, hence my return.
Love This venue and especially the seating outside!
Arrived in the restaurant and was placed under the stairs which wasn’t a great place.
The restaurant was playing very loud music and nobody could talk. We got annoyed.
Had to ask the waiter 3 times for our drinks and got an attitude, she was too busy laughing about with her other colleague. (Eyes roll)
The food then arrived and it was not great.
Overall (find somewhere else)
we waited for almost an hour for our mains. the food was average. good as set menu for £20 but I would definitely not pay this price as an a la carte menu. desserts were not great and didnt taste like 'in house made'. the waiters were lovely though and offered us discount on our main bill for the wait time.
1st visit to old Compton brassiere. Modern interior clean fresh and good vibes. Food was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff very friendly. Drinks were ok, bit disappointed with aperol spritz.
Good place for meeting friends or taking a date
Excellent food. Staff professional, friendly, and create a lovely atmosphere. Very helpful too with meal choices and wines.
Christian , our waiter! 5 stars!! He’s very good at his job! Helpful, patient , charming !
The staff members were absolutely wonderful from the very warm welcome to the service throughout. Food was really lovely. Wonderful.
Out for a late lunch. Use this restaurant a lot. Great value
Great food with a Great Price!
Lovely place and atmosphere but the service wasn’t great. Guy at the entrance was lovely but the waiter for our table just wasn’t interested in keeping our drinks topped up.
I love the environment of this place and the service is very good but the food took way to long to arrive we waited for around an hour, overall all good
Great fun to sit in the street in Soho. Table service and fenced off so although fairly full it felt safe with no one wandering between tables. Food and drink good and a great spot to feel part of life again.
First time visiting and will be back! The staff went above and beyond
Unfortunately I was compelled to leave my first ever review following my visit to the Old Compton Brasserie. I’m back home much earlier than planned because the whole experience was just dismal.
I’d booked to take my mum who was visiting me from Wales. We’d had a lovely day and were really looking forward to relaxing over some food. On arrival we were placed at a table right in the centre of the restaurant which seemed to be in the way of anyone and everyone, I honestly would have felt more relaxed sitting in the middle of Victoria station during rush hour. This in my option is a table to put guests just arriving for a last minute table, not for those who’d pre-booked 10 days earlier.
Anyway, the waitress serving this table was lovely and when taking our food order I asked to move tables. After a chat with the Manager she told us that he’d see what he could do and we were eventually moved upstairs to a nice quiet table in the corner. Due to this request however, she had neglected to take our drinks order and when our food arrived very quickly after moving tables, with barely enough time to get comfortable we asked the waiter to order drinks to accompany our meal. These drinks arrived with us as we’d almost finished eating.
Although the food was nice, overall the whole experience was really poor. I certainly don’t expect things to be perfect, especially at the moment but you don’t mind provided the service is good. We didn’t get so much as a ‘is everything okay with your meal?’. This was made worse by the fact that the waiter couldn’t seem to do enough for the table next to us, where he was very attentive.
Leaving much earlier than planned, probably 45 minutes after arriving and feeling very deflated, my mum said “Oh I wouldn’t want to come back here, you can tell that because it’s busy due to the location, they don’t care or feel the need to make any effort with the service”.
Would definitely go again. Really enjoyed the ambience, cocktails and set menu!
Brilliant outdoor seating on the whole of Old Compton Street at the moment
Great atmosphere sitting outside, fantastic service and great offers on at the moment, £20 for a three course meal and a glass of Prosecco! They are also carrying on with the Eat Out to Help Out in September.
Lovely place, great service and good food!
Overall, the experience was excellent and the staff were professional and friendly.
Me and my friend loved it!
Fabulous service, food was delicious, 3 course prix fix menu with Prosecco amazing value. Going back on Thursday!
Very goof service, food Is great
Excellent and accommodating service and good value for money.
Good food, nice venue, good staff... worth booking
Great service, beautiful place, tasty food and good atmosphere! Would recommend this place and will definitely be back.
Was a lovely evening. Despite Covid restrictions they did very well would really recommend
Unlimited Aperol Spritz deal is a winner & staff are very attentive and also super attractive :)
Amazing. We have had such a lovely time!
Lovely restaurant, great value set menu, will definitely be back.
Brilliant as ever
Really nice atmosphere and great food. The 3 courses and Prosecco for £20 is also amazing value
