The food was delicious, the cocktails great and the atmosphere with the live DJ was perfect. Really attentive and friendly service, will definitely be coming back.
We had a table for 2 booked for our first ever visit and I must say the staff were extremely friendly from arrival right through to departure. The menu offered good choice and the food was absolutely delicious. So good was it that my Wife and I were tempted to order a second serving! Slightly noisier ambience than I would normally like but highly recommended.
Wonderful find - the food and the staff were both excellent. Highly recommended.
Fast becoming our favourite in the area. Great service and quality tasty produce with an uplifting atmosphere. Thanks to all the team. See you soon.
Had dinner with a friend on 11th July. My first visit to this gem of a restaurant. Fantastic service, great food, wonderful atmosphere. So good i'm going back soon!
The sea bass was unreal! Highly recommend. Only thing I did not enjoy was how close we were sat to the tables either side of us. Getting in and out of my seat was very awkward given the proximity to the next table.
Fantastic service and food, they made a special effort to celebrate my daughters graduation!
I have already recommended this place to freinds travelling to London!
Nice place. We went on Pride day so the noise level was super loud but that only added to the fabulous party atmosphere. Food a little pricey but overheads in this part of London must be astronomical so no complaints.
Buzzy atmosphere. Good food and the staff are great. Great value for money considering its location..
Great birthday celebration- staff were great fun.
Food was really good and everyone enjoyed it - was good value for money too
A simple menu, filled with classic British fayre - and as tasty as you like. Fantastic service and a glass of champagne on the house to celebrate a birthday. Spot on from allangles
Great drinks offers and food was pretty nice - quite large portions! The only strange thing was the DJ playing to about 10 customers on a Sunday afternoon, didn't really fit the vibe but maybe it got busier after we left.
From calling to check my reservation till the minute we left I can honestly say it was perfect.
We’d not been before as there’s another venue in Compton Street that we used to go to, and love, but I can honestly say that from this experience I will actively promote the Compton Brasserie
The menu is similar to another venue- but the quality is much better- the staff we friendly and attentive, no hint of attitude at all, service was efficient and polite and the food was Devine
And the cocktails were fun and tasty too
Five stars across the board
Sebastian was the nicest waiter and so efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. Camembert starter was excellent and the steak was divine. Can’t wait to go back.
We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in here. It a great spot for weekend brunch and not many places do a bottomless cocktail option. We ordered eggs royale and a salad, both very tasty dishes and good value for money. Attentive service too.
Nice food, cozy friendly sociable environment, great location in soho, decent price, great service.
Always such lovely, friendly and attentive service at Old Compton Brasserie. Fantastic food reasonably priced.
First visit, friendly staff and good food. Fantastic drinks with fun presentation, not many places can I say that my drink came dressed in a fur coat.
We were in a rush for pre theatre menu but staff were very accommodating and food was very tasty. Definitely recommend as a great place to eat in busy Soho and will go back for a more relaxed dinner next time :)
Great experience...Bogdan served us and he was good with his suggestions... right on point.
Great restaurant... very good service and good value too. Will go again for sure...
Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night, it was very busy and had a good vibe! The food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. The cocktails were also amazing and the service was great!
Really well situated for post theatre at reasonable price . We are at 5.30 with two courses and got to Wyndham by 7.10.
Great restaurant in heart of Soho. Slick artistic contemporary brasserie setting. Very good modern plates with generous portions - particularly a la carte though set menu is good and excellent value. Smoked haddock scotch egg is luxurious kedgeree magicked into a little ball of tastiness. The bavette steak is soft and unctuous. The huge slab of pork belly has the crispiest crackling ever. The only dish we've had here which doesn't impress is the mushroom truffle risotto. Not much truffle in evidence. Great food great service great ambiance.
Very good experience - we were in between Harry Potter playperformances and needed somewhere to eat close to the theatre. We had very pleasant efficient service with good tasty food at a very reasonable price. Only gripe was that it was very cold just where we were sitting - given it was25 degrees outside we probably were not prepared for the air con!
First time here and very impressed. Great service and fair price for veey good quality food. We'll be back.
Visited this restaurant for pre theatre cocktails and dinner. It didn't start very well, a Mojito Royale was the first upset. It was served in a copper type cup and FULL to the brim with ice. Never had or seen one served like that before. When we complained the bar manager come over and tried to explain that this was the best way of serving it. We asked for the ice to be taken out and what was left was a very small cocktail. He could see we were not impressed and did top it up with a little more champagne. The waitress did not know the menu, telling us the Steak Tartare just came with salad but in fact was served with thin cut toast. Good job my wife was not coeliac, not that the waitress asked if either of us had any allergies. I ordered the Mushroom Risotto with Truffle oil, It was basically boiled rice with quartered mushrooms half cooked and smothered in truffle oil. No Parmesan, not a hint of wine. I had to ask for Parmesan cheese, I should have sent it back but being British I did not want to complain any more. A waiter came over shortly after and asked if everything was alright. Well, as he asked I told him exactly what I thought. To his credit he informed the deputy manager who was on duty. This gentleman saved the day the best he could, he dealt with the incident very professionally and in an understanding manner. He offered me another course but as my wife had nearly finished I declined. He did however take the main Risotto off the bill and a further 25% off the bill. He apologised profusely and thanked us for bringing it to his attention and that he would speak to the kitchen. The over all experience not with standing all of that was a little too relaxed for my taste. The staff whilst friendly spent a lot of time joking around with each other in sight and sound of the customers which was a bit off putting. I feel they appeal to and cater for a younger hipper age group than my own. But that should not have any bearing on the quality of the food.
Amazing cocktails as usual! 🍹 For starters we had the baked camembert to share, the toasted bread with raisins give just perfect balance of sweetness with the melted cheese. Good vegetarian options available as well. Though rather high in carbs but the caramelised dauphinoise pie is a beautifully done, no soggy bottoms but could do with a little more sauce. Mushroom risotto was delightful too. Will definitely come back next time. Great service and attentive waitress.
Great feel to the place and great food to match not bad portions sizes either not massive but enough and full of flavour!
Booked for a surprise birthday dinner for the other half.
Seated us right away and our waiter was a really cool guy, looked after us really well.
Food was excellent and really tasty, plus great options for our veggie friends.
Service was slightly slow but on a Saturday night and restaurant busy you don’t really want to be rushed in my opinion.
For 8 guests for a starter and mains with numerous G&T’s bill came to £45 pp so super reasonable
Definitely recommend it and will be back for sure
Terrible service. Noisy place.
We had a lovely lunch, the wine flowed and the service was excellent.
Pre theater dinner. Just perfect start to the evening
The food was amazing and there was so much choice. The portions are big so I would be careful when ordering sides etc but would 10/10 go again!
Good food. Excellent service. A little bit noisy by that's us showing our age! Slightly overpriced but that's Soho.
Had a lovely evening here as a group of 7. Hostess and wait staff were all excellent, food was good (inc range of veggie options), and there was a really buzzy atmosphere with great music. Would definitely return.
Great place and lovely food. Staff we very helpful. I’d def go back again.
Great food and lovely ambience. Excellent service from all the staff.
My special request re: bday celebrations (which was clearly visible as it appeared on the screen to the reception staff when I came to the restaurant) was simply ignored.
It's not a venue for food that's going to blow your mind or, depending on how hungry you are, satisfy your appetite. For this reason I won't return as there are so many better places to go in Soho. As an aside staff were friendly and it was very clean.
