Asking $20.00 to park and only offering valet was a negative from the start. The view, the food and the service are very good and made up for it somewhat. But we texted our valet 10 minutes ahead of leaving as instructed and our. Who let had not been delivered. The 3 valet guys were all at the desk and said they had a sudden rush and got busy. The parking is the big drag and a huge negative for an otherwise good experience.
Our first visit to Odette’s and we will be back. Delicious lobster rolls, beautiful view and excellent service.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Enjoyed the ambience -- it's well done and during the day I am sure there are wonderful views of the river. They do need to change their playlist. Pop music during dinner? Music just did not go with the sophisticated decor and it was too loud interfering with conversation.
The food was average. Nothing stood out as exceptional but the prices were on the higher side for Bucks County. The fried chicken slider appetizers were served without any sauce or condiment, so it was just a piece of fried chicken on a small bun with lettuce and tomato. Never heard of a slider not having some sort of sauce to jazz it up. They were bland. I enjoyed my scallops and the salmon my daughter ordered was also good. My son really enjoyed his burger. The $20 parking fee added to the bill is ridiculous. I can do better with Park Whiz in NYC where you expect to pay for parking!
Think I would return on a summer night and sit on the deck to enjoy the view. Probably would order a burger and a beer or glass of wine. Just did not live up to the hype as a fine dining destination.
Too expensive for the quality of the food. Our meal was good, though they brought the wrong (higher priced) steak and charged me for it. The $20 valet parking is an unnecessary money grab...this is not New York City. I don’t think we’ll be anxious to go back, which is a shame. The physical space is really beautiful and it has a lot of potential to be fabulous, but we were left feeling like every opportunity to charge more money was taken instead of feeling like we had a warm, delicious dining experience.
Highly recommend, everything was wonderful! Will return.
Wonderful food and delicious drinks! Excited to go back sometime soon!
Didn’t live up to the hype; perhaps a stay at the hotel is better or ambience better during the day. This isn’t NYC or Stone Harbor, this is new hope , we live here , just looking for a good experience. Definitely not a spot for locals. Let the jersey people come and be disappointed, too many other options in the area. BTW $20 to valet during a pandemic!?! why would I want a strange kid in my car that’s been in and Out of cars all day?
Wonderful service and incredible food! We were elated to be there on a night there was live music. The entertainment overall made the experience memorable. We can’t wait to come back!
My friend and I met for dinner at Odette's last night and it was the most normal dining experience either one of us had since February. The dining room is modern, open and very clean with tables spaced the right distance apart so that it still feels like you are eating among others in a restaurant and not alone.
The duck was outstanding. A very generous portion, perfectly prepared in a dark cherry glaze. It was excellent and perhaps the best I've had in years. My friend had the tuna which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Odette's is quite expensive as the entrees go for between $30 to over $40. All of the wines are overpriced. I must say the duck was worth the price.
It would have been nice for the dessert that we shared to be comped since it was my birthday.
The worst part of the night was the $20 valet charge. One does not have the option to self park which is an outrage and the reason I won't be returning. $20 to park in Pennsylvania? Really? I drove an hour, my friend and I each spent $100 on dinner, no birthday dessert and $20 to park? In a time whereby restaurants are suffering and people do not feel safe dining out, one would think places like Odette's would not try to stick it to the customers who are supporting their business.
I'll have to find duck elsewhere.
First class in all respects...wish the weather had been warmer. Would have liked to sit out on the deck for a bit and enjoy seeing an hearing the Delaware River flow by.
great atmosphere and staff was fantastic .
we will be back .
Loved everything except for being forced to pay $20 for valet parking for just dinner. You are not allowed to self park, but everything else was perfect
Absolutely stunning new restaurant overlooking the Delaware River. The food is incredible and the staff is superb. There is a $20 charge for valet parking.
My husband & I had a wonderful experience at Odette’s. Everything was perfect. The ambience is great and the cocktails and food are delicious. We will definitely be repeat patrons.
River House is sooo cute. City vibe without having to venture into the city. Food was delicious! I got the duck breast. It was perfectly made and not overly fatty like duck can be. Drinks are expensive. But the food is competitively priced. Atmosphere was classy and modern, love it. There are some tables available on the screened in deck with views of the water, where you don’t have to be a member to sit, but you do need a membership if you want to eat on the roof. I’ll definitely be back again.
Friday night out for the first time in forever, we decided to check out the new Odettes. Start with the valet parking. As the three valets hung out and joked, I opened my own door, and my dates and walked the keys to the Rover over to their station. The hostess was very nice. They sat us in the large bar room, a room with one other dining party and several open tables but sat us next to them, at a table squeezed in between a giant column whooshed blocked the view of the room and the glass outside wall (probably a nice view when not night time). Even the waitress couldn’t get to us so my date moved her seat over. The drinks were great. The charcuterie plate was fine. Unusual to have to tear off pieces of grilled bread to eat it with. My date says the duck was terrific. My four (4) medium sized scallops were quite good, on a bed of corn succotash (at about $11.00 each they should be). I wrote in the reservation that it was her birthday and told the waitress. Would have been nice to have slipped her a little Chocolate or something for dessert when we had coffee but certainly not required.
So i give the experience a B-. Could be great, they’re still figuring it out. I will say the ambiance was fine though stark-ish, and the white led lights were way too bright. with a COVID mandated small amount of patrons I think management could be more involved and attentive. We’ll come back in a while and give it another go, maybe brunch.
There are better places in New Hope for the price of dinner at Odettes. I wish I wasn't saying this! We had high hopes since Marsha Browns has been closed and we really miss having a great meal. But it was just alright. Not bad - but nothing to rave about or be excited over. I ordered an $18 cocktail, and that was nothing special either. I bartended years ago and I enjoy a well crafted drink. This was disappointing.
One thing I have to say that really bothered me, was being charged extra for bread. I don't know one higher-end restaurant that would ever do this. We ordered (3) dips as an appetizer and with it, got 4 small pieces of bread. Not nearly enough. The person next to us ordered 1 dip and got the same 4 pieces of bread. So we requested more so we could both enjoy 3 different dips. And they charged for it! This was bizarre to me.
Especially since our dinner (with only 1 cocktail) came to $163. I hardly believe that $3.50 made a difference.
Service was far better than when we first tried there for breakfast. And the dining room has great ambiance. Everyone was friendly and they (for the most part) did a good job with distancing the tables
But, I don't see us going back. Stella and Marsha Brown are in the same price range and I have left neither ever disappointed.
We were there for lunch. The building and view is amazing. You can't ask for a better atmosphere. The staff is exceptional. They are attentive, friendly and on their "A Game"
I had the $22 hamburger for lunch. It was ok. The bun was a little soft and got soggy before I finished which made the last few 1/3 bites very messy. If I were the chef I would consider replacing the bun to more of a Kaiser Roll - firm type texture that would hold up to the many tasty garnishments he had on burger etc.. I usually wouldn't mention something so small like this, but you get the feel that they really want you to have an "A" level experience, so that is the only area where I thought it fell just a bit short. All and All- Loved it. We will be back!
Just what New Hope Needs! Upscale. Beautiful. Great food & Service! Can't wait to go back! Not real happy with $20 Valet and tip.....$25 before even walking in!
Wonderful restaurant. Beautiful decor, great food. We met friends on a Saturday night. Tuna and scallops excellent. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
If you drive there they will charge you $20 to park your car which is insane.Very expensive restaurant a specialty drink will cost you $18 my friend asked about a special bourbon it was 300 for a small glass. Every food item is above average price. The view is to die for the reason to go! Service is excellent!
I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. We are definitely going to return. I wish they had taken more notice that we were celebrating my birthday since it was the actual day. I noted that on the special requests and also requested to be seated outside with a view but were sat inside behind other tables. It would have been nice to acknowledge our celebration with since we were celebrating and also offer a complimentary dessert or treat but no luck.
$20 parking should be waived if you are eating at this venue. You pay for the ambiance but only if you are lucky to get a seat with nice views.
Dinner-The food was delicious..but small servings ... the ambiance is all there... drinks are very over priced.. service was great once they acknowledged us ( no one came to wait on us for at least 20 minutes) not even a hey can we get you a drink while you wait ? Or hey we’re going to pay for your drink because you’ve been waiting for so long for someone to even acknowledge you...
Breakfast again ambiance is all there, service was much better drinks are still very overpriced ($15 for 1 mimosa served in a small champagne glass ) food was delicious
The design of the building is very well done. Very dramatic and well appointed. The food was prepared well and even though a bit expensive, excellent. The problem is with the service. One would expect excellent service to match the decor and food but we found it poor. The table was not properly set and we were missing silverware and napkins. Even though the 1st course was served, they did not bring silverware. We had to track down the waiter and request it. There was a very long wait between salad course and entree (1 hour) and when the food was being delivered it was presented to another table. When we receive our food, the waited did not recall who got what. Water glassed and Iced Tea were not refilled and no one check on us after serving us the entree. After dinner was finished, the waiter said is that it instead of offering dessert . We would hope this will improve with time, but will not return for a while. We cannot recommend the restaurant at this time. For the prices charged, we would hope for a better experience.
Miss, a total miss. What a disappointment. I had such high hopes, such high hopes. The investors obviously spared no expense on the decor. The website represents a sexy, sophisticated ambience. It is not: bright lights, loud top 40 music. The food was ok, but just ok. The prices are as expensive as they can get away with. What a bummer. There are way better options in town. I hope this establishment stays afloat with lodging and weddings. The restaurant alone is not up to par.
Amazing ambiance, decor, and service! However it’s on the expensive side. Valet is $20, cocktails are around $20, cheapest food option is a burger for $22. I wanted to get the scallops but they’re around $40. Dessert drinks were wonderful! I had the Buttered Rum which was awesome! Great place for special occasions.
Excellent service and great food and view
Great food in a casually elegant environment with plenty of air flow and a gorgeous river front view!
The views and interior design ate beautiful. Servers are friendly and much more attentive.
Very nice spot with live music on certain nights. The food is pricey in my opinion but nice for a special night out. The lighting is a bit bright that makes it seem like a "hotel" restaurant. We ate in the evening and in the day - gorgeous river views and nice heat lamps. The breakfast took very long. But the dinner was very good!
Excellent food and outstanding service! I look forward to being back soon.
Was a great food was yummy, environment was very nice
Great River View.
Food outstanding. Nice place. Pricey though.
Didn’t like $20 parking charge . Prob wouldn’t be back because of that.
Service is not adequate for the restaurant’s level: we had to ask for utensils, were not offer water refill, steak was not done the way it was asked and no apologies were offered. Appetizers were dry, I left half of my gluey pasta on the plate and was not offered a box: not that I would take it, just to point to service level. Two of the guests had heartburn. Anniversary celebration was botched
Had birthday breakfast with my hubby. Our first time there. Dining room is beautiful and our table by a window was perfect. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. It just took quite some time for our drinks, which was odd as it didn't seem busy. Food came and although it was good, it was not as hot as it should've been. We wondered if the delay in drinks and pastries (btw: pastry was outstanding) resulted in our food being put on hold. Not sure. Husband loved the cinnamon french toast and it was his day, so that's all that mattered!
I'll be a better judge when we get to try dinner in the near future.
Really enjoyed lunch! It was a girl’s day out and because we came from different locations, all needed to pay a whopping $20 to park. That’s the only reason we won’t meet there again.
Beautiful and relaxing setting. Enjoyed cocktails and appetizer in the living room setting with a nice warm fireplace and live music from the strolling violinist, Jersey Gina. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. They made the move to our table seamless. Food was delicious. Wine list has great selections. Sommelier was friendly and informative. Overall, a wonderful evening.
Gina the violinist was playing Thursday night and it was the prefect background for a wonderful evening out with an old friend. The service was top notch and the food very delicious. The place is absolutely beautiful inside and I think they managed to hire the cream of the crop from all of the other restaurants in the area. They are all high professional individuals and go out of their way to make you happy. We will definitely return many more times.
