Ocean & Acre
Great food, excellent customer service. Extremely accommodating
Absolutely wonderful meal. I would like to hope that the level of service we received tonight is on par with a standard Lenten Friday night. My wife and I felt the restaurant was taking all possible steps to provide a safe meal with all of the Covid-19 "scare hype". Thanks for a great evening. DK
First trip to Ocean and Acre, won’t by myself last. Food was great, as was the ambiance of the restaurant and Halcyon in general. Great spot, highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops!
The restaurant itself is nice especially the outdoor area. Service was great .Phillip was our server and he was very good. My concern was over the food. I ordered the blackened halibut with stick rice and zucchini gratin. While the food tasted good the portions for the price were small. My wife had the lobster roll and it was disappointing. Did not taste fresh at all.
Had a big group of people and they took very good care of us. Food was great!!
Great food and great atmosphere! We definitely enjoyed it
It was our 1st time will definitely be back great service and food
Great find! Not your typical seafood restaurant, no fried stuff, but the menu is eclectic and very nice. Try the bacon wrapped scallops with fried rice and roasted brussels sprouts, yum!
Great meal. Beautiful restaurant. The staff was a bit off. I was seated for my reservation at the rear of the restaurant waiting for the rest of my party. When they arrived, they were seated at the front. No recognition that they were the other portion of my party.
Service needed improvement (and management intervened well to assist) but the food was really good.
The food was amazing! Highly recommend and look forward to going again soon.
1st Time here and we’ll be back! The food, service and atmosphere was great!
Service a little slow and food was good but a little salty. Had a reservation but still waited 10 mins to get seated.
A delightful expensive date night with my love. The lobster bisque was excellent. The bacon wrapped scallops were equally as excellent however the fried rice that was paired with it was just okay and I do not recommend it. The seafood brodetto was a great choice to get a variety of seafood. Our server was very personable and professional. He was tentative but not intrusive. Overall, I highly recommend Ocean and Acre, just remember it is expensive and i would save it for a special evening.
Food was excellent but portions were small for the pricing.
My husband asked for bread, otherwise there would have not been enough food, even with appetizer and he is a thin man. Main course arrived before we could eat our appetizer, so I would say service was rushed. We did want dessert, and the black forrest cherry cake was wonderful, but really too small a serving to share for 2 people. All and all we enjoyed our meal and will probably be back to this new restaurant.
First impression was great. Beautiful restaurant with plenty of space for patrons. Service was engaging and willing to please any needs.
Food is a mix, the apps we ordered were not good. By good I mean i would not come back and order again. On the other hand the entrees were fantastic. We had the Lobster Roll and Fish and chips. These two items would have me back for another round.
Our server was great given our first time she spent the necessary time to go over the menu and provide specials.
Excellent food, excellent service. Unique menu. Will definitely be back
We had a delicious meal. Everything on the menu is made by the chefs using the freshest ingredients. The halibut and fish and chips are wonderful as is the fish dip appetizer. If you are vegan or vegetarian, several dishes including the roasted cauliflower are divine. The hamburger is, too. We love the outdoor dining area in all seasons. There’s a fire, gas warmers by tables, and blankets if it is chilly. We are going to check out the happy hour and lunch specials next time. We just cannot say enough good things about Ocean and Acre and highly recommend for your next dining experience at Halcyon. We are also loving the fact that it is located in Halcyon and close to home.
Ambiance was great. My reservation was available as soon as I arrived (on time). The food was good. Wife had tuna, I had roasted acorn squash. We felt that there could have been a little more food for the price though. Maybe put a bread on the table in advance of the meal, and include a salad with the entree to fill the table a little more. We'd probably try a few other restaurants before coming back at this point. Probably still working out the "new restaurant" kinks still.
Great food, great staff, we really enjoyed eating at Ocean & Acre!
Such a nice experience, the food was great and service was excellent!
First, our server was outstanding. Very attentive, helpful and great demeanor. The bar was unbelievably slow, so I would recommend walking in with a drink from one of the brew pubs. The food was also very good; I really loved the house cocktail sauce. The main reason for my 3 stars is because my husband and I each had 1/2 doz oysters + appetizer + main course + dessert and it was just barely filling. The portions are very small and there's nothing on the menu to add on to your meal like sides. I guess you could order more apps, but when prawns cost $4 a pop, I'd rather not. Given the combination of portions and price - we will not be back.
The overall atmosphere was cool. Not too loud and packed in. Food was a little on the bland side with the portions being very small for the price. I would pick somewhere else next time since there are quite a few good places near by. Unless the change their menu up, I would only go there for drinks.
I would recommend a restaurant. We came Saturday, February 15 and the service was very poor however you were very busy.
Great restaurant, made it very intimate for Valentines Day.
First time dining was on Valentine’s Day! Very pleased with the food and staff!!
O&A is 2/2 with me. Brought the fiancé for a Valentines celebration and they did not disappoint!
Great food and service, the hostesses and waitress were very friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely would go back for a date night
The service was very good and food was ok. Seemed overpriced for what you received.
Menu is a little limited. Noise level was high and we were in a side room, not in the open area.
Restaurant design is great !
I would go back for appetizers and a drink.
Went to this restaurant for the first time for Valentine's night. Had a reservation and was seated immediately. Nice variety on the menu. I had seafood and my wife had steak. Both were prepared very well. Enjoyed oysters and lobster bisque as starters. Service was very good. Only minor negative is we were seated near a door to their nice outdoor seating area which was open (had heaters outside) but everyone the door opened, we got a blast of cold air. I actually look forward to going back in warmer weather and sitting in the outdoor space. Would recommend this restaurant to others with no hesitation.
Valentines Day was wonderful thanks to great food and service.
First time visiting and came away very impressed. Great service and atmosphere. Food was delicious, my personal meal was super salty (risotto). All is good though we had a great time and will definitely come back soon.
This was our first time visiting Ocean & Acre and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The restaurant is big, airy and casual-elegant. The food was excellent (lobster bisque, clam chowder, lobster roll, fish&chips). Everything came out hot, on time and portions were big and the panna cotta for dessert is a must-have. The service was also amazing. Shout out to our rockstar servers, Bruno and Ryan. You guys are the best. We’ll definitely be back. See you soon!
Beautiful restaurant in the Halcyon development. Perfect for a date night. Great wine list and the cocktails are incredible. The food is fantastic as well. Highly recommended.
The Fish Special was overcooked and cold. Lobster in the lobster roll was not the good part of the lobster meat but rather was the rubbery part of the lobster claw. The Blue Point Oysters were very small compared to other establishments. WILL NOT BE BACK - for price - we spent over $200 for 4 people not worth it all!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Food was less than average. Oysters Rockefeller was cold. Lobster bisque was cold. Halibut was fishy. Burger was like a charcoal brick. Overpriced for poor quality dinner.
The food is very well made and very tasty. The service is very good, very attentive.
Absolutely recommend !
