Numero 28 Pizzeria & Bar - Forest Hills
Good food, good atmosphere, excellent service! The wait was not bad and the waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Only problem you might encounter on busy days is parking. Hard to find parking around the area. Loved the tiramisu, he made it right in front of us which made the kids happy lol it was cute. Highly recommend!
We had the XL pizza and had various toppings on it - the prosciutto and arugula is our favorite! We also shared a pasta dish and that was delicious too! By far the best surprise was the citrusy crime brûlée! Who knew?
Carl our server was excellent.
Always a great option for Italian food, our favorite spot in forest Hills
Food was great- service not as good as the last time we were here. They were friendly but seemed a bit disorganized tonight.
It’s so incredibly overpriced and the food is good but nothing is worth spending 57 on pizza for a family of 5.
Can’t say enough about this place. The food is consistent and the pizza delicious. One of my favorite places in Forest Hills ❤️
Delicious food, excellent service! Will definitely go back.
A little loud for us (the volume of the music more than the people in the restaurant) but the food and service are fantastic.
Delicious brick oven pizzas, salads, entrees and more. Excellent service. Terrific jazz band on Thursday nights, just a little too loud for conversation. Overall a nice, casual neighborhood spot for Italian cuisine.
Amazing new restaurant...great service and even better food.... entire staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great dining experience. Highly recommended!
Fabulous grilled vegetables with two pieces of grilled chicken. My table was ready and we were
seated immediately. Good service. The only thing negative was the basketball game on the tv.
We had a lovely dinner as always. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. A nice touch was the love music that evening. I highly recommend Numero 28.
Everything is always amazing. Great authentic Italian with professional service and nice atmosphere. Have been coming here since they opened and never disappointed.
The heat wasn’t working so it was rather cold, with an exception of one or two floor heaters that were blowing in one direction. Don’t recommend getting the chicken parm, seemed like it was made a few days ago and simply reheated! The pizza, however, was very tasty.
Wonderful dinner with my girlfriends. The servers were friendly and the food came out hot and delicious. We ordered two different salads, pizzas, salmon, gnocchi, pasta and chicken. All were tasty and plentiful. Save room for the luscious tiramisu and Nutella mousse! Will definitely be back to try the cacio e pepi special for two!
Too loud! The DJ was too much for the size of the space and the music inappropriate. But all else very good.
Incredibly slow service. It took a long time for someone to take drink orders and even longer to get the drinks. The bruschetta was soggy. There were 4 of us: 2 ordered pasta & 2 ordered pizza. The two pasta dishes came with the wrong type of pasta. The two pizzas arrived so late that the people who ordered pasta were already finished. We ended up focusing on the disappointing experience rather than enjoying our time together. We will not go back.
Food was very good. The place is really cozy nice bar with a lot of seating good wine list and the staff was very nice and attentive.
Highlight is the food, pizza is delicious, food is fresh and tasty. Good service and cute spot! Will definitely come again!
Over priced, pizza is good but the server sucked and it surely doesn't have a family feeling
Love this place! Good food, service and ambiance!
Food was very good - - extremely fresh! They seated us near the double doors where there was a very bad (cold) draft! I mentioned it to the hostess and she laughed it off!
Out of all the locations they have in nyc I think this is my favorite one.
Great food (the pizza is excellent) and a really good vibe.
I have been a loyal patron since they opened. I'm heartbroken to find out that they currently aren't making cacio e pepe which was their finest dish. I look forward to the return of the best pasta ever!
This place was a disappointment. Slow service. Orders got mixed up so some of us had to wait to get the right orders. Waited a long time for correct orders and food was bland and over cooked when it arrived. Will never go back. Management wasn’t apologetic. Very very poor!!!
Good neighborhood joint.
We we a bit disappointed this time around. I ordered the Lobster Ravoli and the sauce was hot but inside was warm. My husband order the calzone and it was burnt but we both did not want to say anything because we know what happens when you send your food back.
I order the sangria which was good but the service was slow. It wasn’t that packed as the first time. I guess what happened was know that Numero 28 is up and running full force the food just isn’t the same. What we also noticed is we order the calamari which you can share with a least 2-3 people and this time the portion was very, very small that it can only feed one person.
Just a bit disappointed this time around.
Delicious food, Friendly staff! Would go again soon
The restaurant was a great find. The food and service was spot on. The ambience was pleasant
and the overall experience was wonderful
I was very underwhelmed by this restaurant. The food was fine but the service was not. That can make or break a restaurant. We were told that there was no bread left, at 7:30 PM. How does a restaurant run out of bread this early. Then magically about 30 minutes later more bread miraculously appeared. I wanted to order wine but was never asked, even with the wine/cocktail list sitting in front of me. The table next to me didn't get place settings until after they received their appetizers. I will not come to this restaurant again until they improve these problems and will not recommend it to anyone I know that might want to patronize thos restaurant.
Their pizza is the best!!!!
Just like our first visit here, the pizza is really excellent. The crust is thin and perfect, the toppings are of good quality and delicious. The rest of the meal (pastas, salads), we found to be just ok.
The staff is lovely and accommodating. The place is great for families with kids. We might have been the only table with no kids. The noise level was high. Next time I'll pick a later time to dine, and go for the true star of the place, the pizza!
Very nice place with good food and service.
The Insalata Rustica and the Spaghetti with Clam Sauce is absolutely amazing.
Great food..even better service !
I really enjoyed my pizza. The drawbacks: Unlike other Italian restaurants, they didn't voluntarily bring bread over. Also: Lots of kids made it noisy. (Don't you love when parents let their kids roam all over the restaurant and the staff says nothing?) Service was great. Like many NYC restaurants, the tables were close together, so it feels like you are dining with the strangers next to you. I recommend it, but be prepared for a lot of noise. Not a good place if you want to have an intimate conversation.
First visit here. Excellent food, great service and elegant setting. Food for everyday dining, a date or special occasion. Fantastic pizza from a beautiful wood burning oven just like in Italy. Delicious octopus appetizer. We enjoyed sharing a lovely, light Nutella mousse. Worth coming back to try other dishes.
The only thing that I would recommend is a bit more elbow room at the table. And they should also have half/half milk because just serving whole milk . The service was excellent and if you have reserverations they do seat you on time. My family ordered the Tiramasum which was not good at all tasted as if it watered down but I do recommend the Nutella desert. And the other things was non of our meals were hot enough it was room temperatured.
But in all it’s still a good place especially for Forest Hills.
I’ve been to this restaurant several times but think it’s overpriced for the portions they provide.
I’ve heard from others that they don’t want kids there but they’ve always been accommodating and nice to my toddler.
The food is definitely tasty and I like that they are most of a real Italian than a pizza place.
I’d recommend for those who live in my area but not tell others to travel to this restaurant.
