Outside seating was adequate and not cold under the heater. It was a good choice! Could see us do it again!

Given all the Covid issues the staff did a great job , very attentive to our table and needs

I was hoping for better - food was just ok. Might have been just this one time but the lobster Bisque had very little lobster and the chicken parm was a bit overdone. Drinks were good.

All good. COVID caused the restaurant to be empty.

Salmon was salty. Service was slow. Worst experience I’ve ever had at Average Joes.

Excellent burgers, great sweet potato fries, and Caesar Salad.
Outdoor dining was comfortable and service efficient.

Completely changed the Jambalaya recipe without making it readily apparent. Linguine instead of rice, semi-roasted vegetables, thick tomato sauce. I wasn't a big fan.

We go to NYAJ’s often. It has outdoor seating, great food, and great service. It would have been much quieter during our recent visit, but for one very loud diner.

Always a good experience. The crab cakes were the special today and were delicious!

Food was excellent as was the service. They have done a nice job with the “patio” and keeping you shaded from the parking lot.

This location was very accommodating. The service was great and the food was even better!

V is our favorite waitress. We always enjoy our meal when she waits on us!

Wait staff was excellent and was very cognizant of pandemic restrictions. The food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. But I am grateful had outdoor dining and they are still open.

Overall, I love NYAJ's. However, I made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday for outside. Lovely food, good service. The only thing was that at 8:45, they let us know that the restaurant had actually closed at 8 pm. I still had my food and drink. My dinner partner had wanted another drink. They gave me a to go box and we moved to the courtyard in the shopping area. If the restaurant closes at 8 pm, then please do not offer a 7:30 reservation.

Not Your Average Joes server was friendly, fast and got all orders correct. We really enjoyed the food & drinks.

I had dinner with 2 friends. We sat outside on the front patio. As always, the food was delicious and the service was great. I had the Cobb salad and a glass of rose.

This location has great service and the staff visited frequently and promptly to address needs such as refills. The post pandemic process works well here - the only exception is that I’m fairly certain my throw away paper menu was used before given the stains and bends. The entrees were great, perfectly cooked burger and everything seasoned and portioned well. Still don’t like the tray instead of plate for the burgers but it’s not a deal breaker. The only real complaint here is the great bread they served pre-meal did not taste good. I thought it was simply really old because it crumbled like a stale cookie but the waitress said they make it fresh daily but it’s hard to get right and sometimes depending on who makes it, it isn’t made correctly. Overall this location is head and shoulders better than the Kentlands disaster.

We are so happy that Joe’s has re-opened. It is one of our favorite restaurants and we have missed them. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. We celebrated Fathers Day there!

NYAJ was super right after COVID-19 re-opening. The staff at the Bethesda Location was friendly, careful, and attentive. Unlike their Reston location, our waiter checked back several times to make sure our iced tea stayed full and our needs were met. The manager was helpful and friendly. He even took a turn picking up plates. Great visit!

So wonderful to be able to eat outside at NYAJ. Food was WONDERFUL. Service Great. Had to eat outside, but who cares. Joe’s is back. Yippee 🥳.

Dunno if it's because of COVID-19, but the food quality went downhill. Service is great as usual, but taste-wise, it wasn't the same as before.

The experience after COVID19 was excellent. I felt very safe and confident with their procedures. Our waiter, Alex, was great and attentive.

A friend and I met for a Sunday brunch. We didn't partake of the $28 full brunch because it's too much food for us. We each ordered the same salad with quinoa, sliced roasted chicken, veggies, which we both enjoyed. Of course, their ciabatta , served with dipping garlic, red peppers, olive oil was delicious, as always. Our waitress was fantastic!!

Unlike before the Corona, the place was not crowded. GO! The tables are far enough apart, if you're nervous.

One of our worst dining experiences in recent memory. The mimosa and bloody mary were good although the server tried to charge us fir complimentary ones. The hot food was out too long so it was overcooked and tasteless.

I have some dietary restrictions so I always appreciate restaurants that are able to cater to this. I especially appreciate when they offer menus that are already labeled. Very good food, service was amazing (for a Saturday night, our entrees came out very quickly!), and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Lunch at Not Your Average Joe's in Bethesda was terrific. Our waiter Scott was incredibly friendly, jovial and efficient. Since I hadn't seen my dining companion in some time, he allowed us ample time for conversation before ordering and our meal was fantastic. When we were seated, Scott brought over the bread and oil, garlic and cheese dip that is a staple at the restaurant. Unlike my experience last month at their Gaithersburg store where it was too gloppy and pasty, this was fluid and delicious. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfection (again unlike the Gaithersburg location where it was 3 temperatures too well done) and was garnished splendidly. My friend's chicken caesar salad was perfect and dressed properly, and was crispy and delicious. We opted for coffee after our meal and Scott put on a fresh pot for us. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend the Bethesda location of Not Your Average Joe's over for a wonderful time and delicious meal with exemplary service.

We were a party of four and had made a lunch reservation using OpenTable the night before our date.

The Hostess understood our seating preference and seated us away from
the ventilation system in a quiet booth.

We had the caesar salad, tomato basil soup, baked haddock, chicken marsala and chicken picatta. All of the food was excellent.

I would like to especially recognize the staff at Not your Average Joe’s. I was dining with my service dog in tow and the staff were all incredibly kind and accommodating, especially given that a guest at a nearby table was doing her damnedest to distract my dog. Excellent service, great food as always.

This is the second time I've met my friends here for dinner, but my friends been here several times for lunch. Sean was out server again. He remembered our previous orders! Was terrific. Loved the oysters and shrimp specials with our martinis. I was able to ask for a slice of avocado with my burger order. The Pecan-Sage Pesto Salmon, delicious! Flat bread pizza, also yummy.

Wonderful experience! Great food! I'll be back!!
