Food wasn't great unfortunately. Extremely salty. Each dish was well over salted. Also dishes were saggy and quite oily. Tested like it was prepared a day or so ago. Quality of food used to be much better.
Apart from the beautiful fresh food, our wait staff were fantastic, warm & friendl & couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend

The view is the seller. Especially to have a drink before dinner on the deck. The shared starters were really impressive but $40 for a risotto covered in salt is too much. The flavours were there, just overtaken. Gratuity was added to my bill without consultation. Australian hospitality earns well, & I will always tip for good service. But the service wasn’t very good - 20minutes to wait for a bottle of wine & then to have to flag the wait staff every time we needed another drink.
Great food, great service great view. We enjoyed fish tacos, XO king prawns, fish curry and fish and chips. All dishes were very terrific and serving size was large. Service was good.
I thought the food was excellent and the service was friendly and fairly attentive.
The weather was warm and air conditioning would have made us more comfortable.
Overall we had a great time with friends visiting from Norway.

The food was absolutely fine though expensive for what it was. Our waitress was rude & aggressive. We ordered wine to accompany our meal, but it didn't arrive until we had finished our meal. Unacceptable anywhere but especially in an expensive restaurant. The waitress was having none of it, saying that it was a busy day. I said "sorry but that cannot be used as an excuse". She rebutted it. All I wanted was a genuine apology and a taking of responsibility. Complacent culture at a guess.
The food was beautiful and fresh. It’s an extremely popular venue so although the staff are friendly it’s diffucult to get their attention at times. You can be waiting for some time between service.
We felt the hospitality at NBF was next level. We felt really looked after in a genuine way. One example: We got moved to a table outside when we asked for it, even though they could have fitted a larger group on that table. They also let us stay longer than the set 2 hour booking time. Wine recommendations spot on, and table service with a smile. In terms of food, what we ate was delicious and good size (would hope so w the price!). Pricey but on a gorgeous bondi day totally worth it.
We absolutely loved North Bondi Fish and will definitely be back! We are 'old' Bondi residents who now live in Brisbane and friends recommended we try NBF when they knew we were coming back for Christmas! We loved everything about it and were only sorry we could not make it back for another visit as our trip was so short! I would recommend it to everyone - the food was sensational, friendly staff and views to die for!
Average food, average service. Low value for money.
Food service was extremely slow. Couldn’t even get raw dishes served within first hour of ordering. Do not recommend at a peak time.
NBF was recommended by a Bondi local and i was looking forward to the evening as the menu sounded fabulous.
We ordered the Kingfish ceveiche and seasame crusted tuna followed by the scallops.
Thr ceveiche missed the par on so many levels...lack of acidity, seasoning....so so disappointed. In saying that it was the best of a bad bunch.
The seasame crusted Tuna was ruined by the large quantity of mayo...it overrode the delicate flavours of the tuna sashimi...very very disappointing dish.
This was our best and favorite meal in Bondi. The prawns And the poke bowl were amazing. We also loved the fish And chips. Really liked the gluten free and veggie options. Atmosphere is great as well.
It took 2.5hrs to get our main course. Couldn't hear yourself to talk (we only had table of 7 one left so became 6).
When food came we didn't have time to eat it, two bites and we were out of there.

We had an amazing lunch for my husbands birthday. The food was sensational - so fresh, well presented and really clean flavours. The service was spot on too, just the right amount of time between courses and very attentive staff (without being annoying). Will definitely be back

This was the most disappointing meal that I have had at an expensive restaurant in a very long time. The service was nothing short of terrible - our waitress was unattentive, forgetful and disinterested. The food was VERY average (except for the sashimi and the delicious chips) with people in our party disappointed by the swordfish, the fish curry, the pasta and the whole baked fish. We never mind paying expensive prices for excellent food - but this was appalling. Will not go back.
Great table on the balcony and great service, but food was average. But you don't go here for fine dining so the atmosphere makes up for it. Our lunch ended up going over 5 hours so the staff were very accommodating :)
The setting was beautiful. . Our waitress was fantastic and the food was lovely and fresh and tasty. Would thoroughly recommend it.
I wanted to take some friends from Texas, USA to a restaurant overlooking Bondi Beach that was upscale yet laid-back (not too formal) and reasonably priced; North Bondi Fish (NBF) seemed like the type place I was looking for. I checked out many images for NBF on Google images and it looked great and the menu seemed OK as did the drinks list. I was slightly put-off by some recent negative reviews I read but I went ahead a made a reservation for lunch. After a pre-lunch drink at Iceberg's, I walked with my friends along the beach promenade to NBF and I'm very happy to say that my friends and I weren't disappointed; the view of the beach from the restaurant was beautiful, the service was perfect, the food was delicious and eight share plates of dishes made with scallops, tuna, kingfish (ceviche) and Sydney Rock Oysters between the 3 of us with a few beers and a bottle of good wine cost us about $300; the whole experience was worth every dollar we spent. My friends came away raving about it and I'm very grateful for the great impression NBF left on both myself and my overseas guests.

Amazing food and service!
Food was average and expensive. Staff had little knowledge of menu and service was lacking. We were topping up our own wine, utensils were missing. At that price level so many other venues do a much better job. Would only recommend the location which I guess is why they can get away with average.
The food was very tasty (the tamarind fish curry was a stand out) but not very filling so don’t expect to go for a hearty meal.
I booked for 5 people and got a table for 4 so three people were squashed on one side. Lucky we are small people but three averaged sized adults would not have fit at all.
Amazing service and great food.
Went for lunch on our anniversary and the waitress who’s name we missed, was not only friendly and attentive to our table, she gave us complimentary dessert to celebrate our special day.
Awesome food, wine and view.
