   A bustling morning with plenty of action. We were greeted warmly, shown to a table efficiently and our order taken promptly, all by a team of friendly and welcoming people. Food & drinks were excellent and everything was dome with kindness. Thank you

   Norman is not your average corner cafe. It looks and feels “expensive” but its not particularly, and the food choices are interesting and diverse. My friends and I, and three children, all really loved what they ordered and we were really well looked after by a fabulous waitress. It was a super lunch spot, and the coffee was also spot on

   Arrived at the venue for my booking which I confirmed via text and online, only to find it was closed and construction crew were onsite. No communication was received to notify the booking had been cancelled.

   Wasn’t impressed by the cleanliness. Especially with the guy with the greasy hair & cap who showed us our table. The way he held the water glasses meant that he contaminated each one as he set them down. Yuck! However, our Italian waiter was terrific & was good. Banana bread great, zucchini spaghetti delish but smashed avocado barely covered a single toast. Yet very pricey. All the prices were quite high for what you get but good coffee. Overall 3/10

   The food was lovely. However, one meal came out much quicker than the other. There was a considerable wait before the second meal came out. So one person was made to either eat while the other person was waiting or wait and let their food go cold. I would have appreciated both meals to arrive at the same time

    I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and really wish the whole experience was better. They were over committed with capacity and that just set everyone up for failure which was so disappointing. We arrived on time as per our booking only to find out table wasn’t ready (not that the attendant even checked a booking form), once finally seated service was mediocre at best, staff with limited experience, some with poor hygiene and poor communication across the board. Coffee took over 20 mins and I got a Bloody Mary which was basically tomato juice and horseradish which was undrinkable. Second round of drinks was just as long and I watched the poor team pumping through coffee order and trying to wash glasses just to make drinks. Food took 40 mins and was average. I really wanted the special only to be told as I requested it that it wasn’t available, would have been nice to know when seated. The quality of the food didn’t make up for the long wait and bad service. When we went to pay, the attendant dare ask how the experience was. I know it wasn’t their fault, it was poorly mismanaged and genuine hospitality staff are hard to find. My feedback should be constructive for the next people, I will not be returning and will not recommend. From my observations If it was so busy to manage the volume they had I would recommend not have allowed bookings, removed some settings like the stools at front and outdoor tables so they could service the people they have. Also train your staff better to clear tables hygienically (not touch rims of glassware, not stack plates at table and show hygiene practices with disinfecting tables (and chairs) and make sure they are able to at least talk to customers, there was some staff who didn’t even make eye contact, let alone smile or offer any level of service. I really wish the experience was better.
